I read these, and not having been in game until after I6 hit, I'm glad I wasn't there. I would have been spoiled by the power scale, and wouldn't be nearly as excited hearing about the Incarnate slots and what they may do for the epicness of the power levels in the future.
Last night I was on my L50 Stone tank in Talos, after taking down Eochai with a PUG, and I spotted a small mob, about 35 levels down from or so, so I went over and hit them with Tremor, and they all just flew everywhere and dropped. That's Epic enough to satisfy me for a few minutes. -
I'd like to suggest Saturday, Nov. 5th at ~7PM, so as to stay away from scheduled events... I think Thursday and Friday, people I know have committments. Is this a good time? I'll need help getting more people, and I think Blueside is easier, zone-size-wise and people-willing-to-try-wise.
(I just saw your post Zam - I'm willing to try Redside, but I am dubious that we'll get enough people. Maybe we can start Blueside and switch when we've done a few as proof-of-concept for the group...) -
Quote:Practically every end game encounter is the same, tank and spank.
I do not appreciate the theme that this phrase engenders. Or the visual.
Quote:Make up for it with better AI instead. Like how about having the mobs go after the healers/debuffers/buffers for once instead of being glued to the tank. -
(in case there's any difference) Why would I put the Panacea Proc in Physical Perfection instead of Health? I know it only depends on the proc's level instead of the power's level, just making sure I understand it right.

(for my reference - repeat of Masque's build)

Quote:Each of the attacks has only one proc; I took some time figuring out the best combination for that pair of powers. I put the proc in there because it recharges roughly 25% faster than FSC; I'll have to test to see how it plays. Certainly with Masque's build with the 2 further endurance-reducing/generating powers, it would be OK, but I'll have to see which way I go.Good catch! I usually use the "Sets and Bonuses" option in Mid's to check for such things, but for some reason I forgot this time.
The only drawback I see for the change you're suggesting is that the end reduction will be really low for both attacks. It may be okay given that you'll have QR plus Stamina, but you should also consider using the Armageddon Dam/End in Combustion, which is the higher end-cost of the two attacks. Personally, I'd skip the Armageddon proc, or if you do want it, drop the Erad proc so it's still fully slotted.
Thanks for all the help, everyone! -
Panacea proc... I have one I got as a gift (!). But it's sitting in the tray of one of my alts. I don't know if I can justify slotting a 3 Billion+ inf enhancement yet. It's the elephant in the tray, to mangle a phrase. As eebil a Marketeer as I am (a minor one compared to SOME people...) I don't know if it's something I can bring myself to do until I have multiple characters past the INF cap...
Wow, Shield walls, Hami-o's (good ones!)... and I thought my build was a little on the high end for anything but my main! This might be a LT goal build, but I'll have to do some serious marketeering to earn the bling.
Is Conserve power and Phys Perfection a little overkill? (Not that there's anything Wrong with that...) I took Salt Crystals because one of the WP guides pointed out it's a useful Giant Taunt generator. -
Thanks for the input, very helpful. I did notice one (actually 2) spots for improvement. Currently, the 2 bonuses for 2 pieces of Scirocco's Dervish (regen +10%) are being lost to the Rule of 5. I propose replacing with 2 pieces of Armageddon each (yeah, I know, pricey!) which adds +8% recovery...
So Combustion looks like:
Eradication - Acc/Rech
Eradication - Dam
Eradication - Acc/Dam/Rech
Eradication - Acc/Dam/Rech/End
Armageddon - Dam/Rech/Acc (SUP)
Armageddon - Fire Dmg Proc (33%)
And Fire Sword Circle looks like:
Eradication - Acc/Rech
Eradication - Acc/Dam/Rech
Eradication - Acc/Dam/Rech/End
Eradication - Eng Dmg Proc 20%
Armageddon - Dam (SUP)
Armageddon - Rech/Acc (SUP)
Original Power Enhancement Totals (Pre ED values):
Combustion
Accuracy: 86.4%
Damage: 112.9%
Endurance Reduction: 38.7%
Recharge: 65.2%
Fire Sword Circle
Accuracy: 86.4%
Damage: 112.9%
Endurance Reduction: 38.7%
Recharge: 65.2%
New totals:
Combustion
Accuracy: 91.7%
Damage: 107.6%
Endurance Reduction: 17.5%
Recharge: 91.7%
Fire Sword Circle
Accuracy: 98.3%
Damage: 91.7%
Endurance Reduction: 17.5%
Recharge: 98.3%
Any reason I shouldn't do this? -
Also possibly gated to prevent gigantic market manipulation of extremely high cost recipes.

Looking for a little help to set up a WP/Fire here. Thanks to all the people who posted guides in the WP/ section in particular - not many of them are recent, but they were vital to getting started. [Note: The 3 slots in Rest are for Numina Heal, Numina Special +10%/+15%, and Regenerative Tissue +Regen 20%to go in Health post I19; Stamina will get an EndMod... do I need more there? Too many LotG's? ]
The build is solely for PvE, possibly some AE. Is Resurgence more useful than SoW? Too many slots in HPT? Is the 6-slot Tactics worth it for the 2.5% M/R/Aoe def bonus? I feel like my attacks are pretty gimped, and my bonuses are not quite where I'd love them to be... I'd really appreciate some guidance. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, Vidiotmaps map pack shows paths, so that's useful, but I'm hoping we can get a bunch of Victory-ites together and do a serial takedown...
-
I've never participated in a successful Rikti Ship Takedown - is anyone interested in this?

I understand that it's a litle 'niche-y'... but even if it were able to split and customize separate windows on a single screen, it would help in the graphical experience, so I could 'see' more of the gameworld unobstructed, while still having access to all that important 'data' I depend on (like what Zombieman said). Hopefully it wouldn't be unfathomably complex...
-
I dont know if this has been suggested, but Im giving it a shot
Would it be possible to provide support for a 2-screen CoX setup, where one screen can be dedicated to what Ill call operations (ie, mostly things like chat windows, notifications, recipes, salvage, enhancements, etc.) and the other screen would be action (ie, game, target, power trays, a couple of chat windows). It should be flexible, so people can put whatever they prefer on whatever screen they like.
Id like to use 2 screens during play, but I dont want my character split in half, and my screens may not match exactly.
-
If only the writers of Empire would be allowed to write the Thrawn trilogy, or the Blasck Fleet Crisis... all would be right with the world.
-
Sorry to hear, Viv, let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
In the immortal words of a great mind... Fire BAD! -
Great guide to speeding up your Stoner. I used some, but not all, the suggested slotting reccs, and I'm happy with a tank that doesn't need to be switching all the time.

Quote:Personally, as a self-professed expert on Snark (tm), I didn't see any here in this post by Puce. I value reasonable, mature discussions on topics like these. So if Puce or anyone else has a considered, reasonable POV about this or any other subject, I'm glad to see it here.No offense Puce, but I really gotta ask...
Why do people feel compelled to come to these threads and give long *** explanations about why they aren't going to buy the item?
I mean really - its an item for sale - not "let's debate what its worth or who would pay what amount for it" now is it?
The guy is asking 3 bil. You want to offer 2, offer it and move on. If you don't think its worth 3 bil *gasp* don't buy it. -

Quote:Yes, if there is a thing you need to do to get some thing that you want, and you choose not to do that thing you need to do to get that thing that you want, then it will be difficult to get that thing that you want.I get why the PVP IOs go for that much because nobody does PVP but the purples are just simply out of the the reach of a very large portion of non-marketeering players.
Be it play a lot, to get a drop, or marketeer, or run Hero/Villain merit missions to get it. -
What part of the joke did I miss - how does this relate to Victory server?

Quote:Ain't tha looking a gift horse in the mouth. "I know you gave me free stuf last ime, why can't I have it every time?" Just ask another game developer that has 10M subs how much free stuff they give out. O wait, they don't tend to talk to their players.3) The packs have adversely affected content releases. Instead of being extra, IMO we're paying for stuff we used to get for free. I don't care if the devs claim otherwise.
I don't really mind paying for stuff people give me. Since their time isn't worthless, why shouldn't they get paid for it? On a related note, please note that I19 is FREE, I20 is FREE, and these are OPTIONAL COSTUME PIECES.
When you live in a Capitalistic society, people occasionally expect to be paid for their efforts. I have no problem with that.
