I know for a fact that ixp is based only on MOBs your team attacks. If another team does all damage to a MOB you do not get any ixp for those defeats. My guess is that threads work the same way. You have a chance for a drop from any MOB your team attacks. The extra uncommon salvage drops during the event are tied to the badges that apply to the MO. When you earn one of these badges you get an astral merit and a random uncommon component. Every other time you complete the requirements for the badge you get an extra astral merit. As to the variety of reward tables, I find it hard to believe they are tied to involvement. I have mainly been running my scrapper who is always attacking and always doing damage. I have received the very rare table once. The majority seem to be uncommons and commons and I have gotten the rare table 7 times. This is out of 30 runs in the trials.

For antacid you have to get gather all 10 and then not use any. If you had all 10 and still did not get the badge then it is a bug. People have reported getting all 10 of each and using only one pacification grenade and still not getting antacid, so there is a known bug involving the badge.

And if you do fail, take it as a learning experience for the next time. You are still earning ixp (possibly astral merits and components if you get some of the badges). I probably failed half a dozen of each before we succeeded.

You don't "have" to run the trials if you don't want to. Incarnate shards now drop for any level content if you have the alpha slot unlocked. Convert those to threads and then use the threads for incarnate xp. It will be a much slower and more expensive process, but the solo option is there.

Quote:I ran Lambda with an 8-man PuG and we got Marauder down to 20% life before we ran out of time. It is possible to do both.In a sense i agree with you. That is to say that both statements are true, but currently they are not true at the same time.
You can do it with an 8 man team or you can do it with a random PuG, but until more people become familiar with the tactics needed to succeed it's silly to expect to do it with both at once. -
It would be nice to see an official notice so we can plan accordingly.

I always laugh in the RWZ mission where you rescue Faultline and Fusionette and see this:
Faultline: /t Fusionette Okay, okay. Then howabout you pick the movie tonight?
Faultline: Doh! Sorry, Mis-tell. Let's get back to the mission! -
Empowerment buffs still count. I've been using them to work toward my last crafting badge.

Best PvP trap I ever participated in was to have a devices blaster set a bunch of trip mines. Then I took my controller and had her dance on top of them. When the sneaky stalker showed up, he went boom.

I'm thankful for the chuckle I got seeing that Black Scorpion was a fire/thermal controller. Not what I expected after taking him down in the STF.

Please confirm if we have to unlock the wisp aura on each character or can we log in one character and unlock it for our account.

whip Cracker is a defeat badge and is only for defeating Desdemona. Tested the Waters is for helping someone do a tip mission which is not your alignment.

I don't PvP much because I am no good at it. However, on other games I like PvP that has an objective. Capture the flag scenarios and attack/defend area battlegrounds are actually fun for me. Why? Because even though I suck at PvP I can be part of the action. Part of a group effort. Right PvP in CoH is a free for all. It would be nice to see some of these objective-driven experiences.

When you earn the accolade you have to "charge" the power. Time spent logged out in one of the two locations earns charges for the power or time for the buff. Once the charges are used up or the time expires, the power must be recharged.

Interesting....More count badges. Then why the AE badge nerf and the "we're getting away from count badges"?

Quote:No team wipe on the PC. My widow survived and took it out.Maid of Awesome (42 hero sonic/rad corr) did an ITF on a squishy, low level team. This was pretty much the story of the double exp weekend -- everyone wanted to play their lowbies for exp, resulting in underpowered teams. We had a team wipe at the end of mission 1 to the ambush, but had managed to get Sister Solaris to the altar before dying, so the mission completed anyway. In mission 3 somehow the team split up between attacking the Phalanx computer and attacking Romulus and Requiem directly on their platform, resulting in another team wipe. After recovering from that, we focused on the PC but had another team wipe due to being overpowered by the last robot spawn. Final mission went okay though, finishing in 1h 3m for 26 merits and level 43. :P

Wow! I honestly haven't seen a purple recipe in months.

Would it really go live during the Spring Fling? In the past they have avoided publishing a "major" update during an event. Of course I guess this is a fairly small update.

Anyone else getting the Connecting #1, Connecting #2, Connecting #3.... this morning?
-
The majority of the old defeat badges are for specific foes. I'm not sure there are really that many that would benefit from it.
-
No worries. Just sorry you weren't there to get the rewards. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Glad you're feeling better, and welcome back!

Yay! Now my badgewhore can fulfill his OCD needs.
