And the circle will be complete when Going Rogue hits and heroic brutes start showing up. -

Some folks have mental holdovers from other, lesser games, where a holy trinity of heal-tank-dps is essential.
Some people are locked in a tactical freeze, unable to consider approaches other than "what worked last time."
The preferred approach becomes dogma, and anything different becomes heresy.
Some people do not understand the concepts behind other power sets, and that leads to "Force Fields don't do anything!" for example.
"You need a stone tank!" Well, I've met some stone tanks you DON'T need, who can't hold enough aggro to be a good tank, and who don't do enough damage to be a good scrapper.
I once observed that it seems inept players gravitate towards the AT/powersets considered the most vital, perhaps hoping their necessity will outweigh their suckitude.
On the other hand, there are uncommon powersets, played by cunning individuals, who are capable of dragging a mediocre team to greatness, or a pathetic one to at least minimal success. Note them, star them, and embrace them.
Similarly, the meat-and-potatoes ATs/powersets can be used to their full potential by clever players, casting a halo of capability and mandatory selection on the less competent by the less observant.
Some powersets are simpler to use than others, but you can certainly find think of someone who can even screw that up.
I don't expect someone to respec mid-mission to my liking, but I do expect them to use what they have to the best benefit of the team.
You must do enough damage to defeat your foes.
You must survive their attacks.
You must have enough endurance to finish the fight.

You learn a lot about the Carnies on Madeleine Casey's arc
Paragon Wiki Article on her missions, yes there are spoilers
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks. So it looks like the answer is yes, a Carnie can be reformed if the psychic link between the Carnie's soul and the head Madame can be severed. There's a magical ritual that would need to be performed; it would be more than just taking off the mask.
Yes, no, maybe so?
[/ QUOTE ]
And in addition, there is Praetorian Earth's Carnival of Light. They're freedom fighters against the Praetorians. I used that backstory as a foundation element in my Carnival of Light SG (Triumph...and spread to at least two more servers). I suspect in that case the masks serve as more of a benign psychic (and probably empathic) link. That's how we RP it, anyway. =)

Ohhh... so you see it too! -
I'm neutral on it (then again I'm more of a soloist), then again I think we'll have to see how the new shinies hold up against MA, If I15 and Going Rogue flop in comparison, then yeah MA/AE needs to be looked at again.
Of course all this reminds me of that Futurama episode when Fry fell in love with the love-bot -

I'd like to able to be a hamidon mito, fire up some of those vanguard tanks and take on some rikti, or perhaps even take a ride in the arachnos flyer.

I had a thought about that, playing an in-game monster, maybe as some sort of unlockable content, you get a critter cage and as you meet certain milestones, critters show up in in your cage for you to use. -
So close; 4 years and 11 months (did have some inactive time). To bad my regular compy went BEWBS up
, gonna get my new rig up and going hopefully by october!

Purple out an opposite faction one of course. Or go around having fun breeding through certain missions like I do. TF's are a lot more enjoyable in certain ways.

sensor modules and old cameras to the rescue! -
Yep , that'd be`it. I pulled the PhysX card and tried to boot to windows and nothing?
-
Hey guys, I hoping somebody can point me in the right direction before I spend a good some of money trying to chase down a problem on my computer.
While suffering through frequent game freezes on FO3 I've had to reboot my computer occass- err frequentlywhen the game would hang up while zoning (primarily). In any event, this last go around I had to cold boot the computer and much to my chagrin, the computer made it to the bios screen (I can reach the menu and adjust all the MB settings) but after that the screen goes black.
I opened the case abd checked things out and it seems the only part that physically looked bad was my PPU card - the fan and motor had come off the board, stalled and burned up (but the card itself looks okay). Other than that, I'm wondering if the graphics card has crapped out or possibly the main processor and possibly the hard drive?
I dont hear any error sounds from the MB and while in the settings menu all the voltage looks good and the CPU registers as there as well as the HD (although I dont hear the drive itself functioning).
I've yet to plug my speakers back in to see if the windows sound comes on since I've got the case pulled away from my desk to check things out inside (and as a round about test for my graphics card).
Right now I'm just looking to get the computer up and limping along till I can build a new rig in october, but in any event any advice will be well appreciated. -

Man, that reminds me of the Rocket Man badge glitch when WB was new (yeah, that was me cussing on chat trying to get that lousy badge) now-a-days you can pretty much bounce in WB on Pinnacle and get it easy as pie. -
Arc Name:The Strange Case of the Shadowsmiths
Arc ID:8385
Faction:Neutral
Creator Global/Forum Name:@WarMain/ebon3
Difficulty Level:Standard
Synopsis:The "Stange Case of the Shadowsmiths" involves the characters retrieving an item for the mysterious Drifter who also informs the characters that they might want to snoop around a bit and see what the Shadowsmiths are really up to.
Estimated Time to Play:20 minutes
Link to More Details or Feedback: Linkage
This is the second publish for this single mission arc, I didn't want to delve to deep into a story since this is on test and I've still got to work out the backstory for the Shadowsmith cabal (I've left the critter info blank except for two critters - Elegiac Dirge & Teneborous Lament).
Happily, my L50 blaster died about 3 times in the current arc -

1) "My origin, aren't I so awesome" architect missions will be the most annoying new content since "We're Vanguard, aren't we so awesome."
[/ QUOTE ]
Chalk me up for the origin arc, but I'm with the rest of the crowd on the "aren't I awesome" arc. Instead I think I'd want to set mine up Quantum Leap style and involve the heros as the guys who "help" thinkgs along.
Of course in the case of my main character that would be making sure that the Paragon Protectors and Freakshow have thier publicity stunt and my main's wife dies. -

Maybe its a nemesis plot?

Its always a nemisis plot! -
sad, but it'd be real funny to find some Co* players down in a privare spot in the sewers doing the same, then again even though its puny by WoW standards I'm willing to bet real money that some heros or villians have gotten intimate...
