The only macro I've done was making teleport work with a shift click so I could do it easily with the mouse. And I've long since given up on teleport

Green Lantern was fun - and it was very Green Lantern.

A question is what is the writing?

I have done the Penny Yin tf several times and really enjoyed it - but I haven't read any of the text. The way the game is set up, only the team leader actually sees the story.

Is the writing the plot, the text, or the whole thing?

that opens up so many possibilities

if I use beheader power, I expect to chop their head off

    and this is the problem.

Johnny wants Brutes renamed tankers. He cannot stand that the only melee AT defined as having higher defense than offense has lower offense than the 3 melee AT's defined as having higher offense than defense.

I understand wanting to be overpowered.

I still cannot understand why Johnny does not play brutes when he claims they do everything that he wants his characters to do.

I swear the fix to this is for the devs to code it so Johnny's UI creates a brute when he selects tanker and just hides this from him.
  8. fix a powerset that has a chance to mezz minions and lt's with practically every attack?

are you asking them to nerf it?
  9. the ability to belong to Crey, Longbow, Vanguard, Legacy Chain, Outcasts, and maybe a few others would be interesting.

You could get missions from them in addition to the normal arcs

So, Superman is tougher and stronger than Batman and Hawkeye (from Marvel comics) but is not higher level than they are because they are just as tough and strong as he is?

Except Superman, who has a feeble offense compared to his defense.

Darkseid and Superman can hit each other for days, knocking each other through walls and planets. They can barely do enough damage to hurt one another. They are vastly tougher than their offense.

In fact characters that can knock each other around all day are very common in comics.

  12. the unlockable content you don't pay for
you get it by earning architect tickets from playing AE arcs or having people play yours
  13. link?

I believe you, I just want to read the details

I can't think of many pools that could use customization.

Although I would love it if Flight let you choose the default fly emote as part of it
  14. Obviously Praetoria is a story from 1-20 and can be 1-40.

There are zones with 10 levels of story such as Striga, Faultline, Croatoa.

I know the old arcs have stories of the drug connections or whatever.

Are there guides for soloing content 1-50 which tries to have a coherent story or stories (since I doubt any storyline continues 1-50)?

I was thinking it would be fun to have guides for:
Learn the secrets of and defeat the Council 1-50
Foil the plots of the Circle of Thorns 1-50
Stop Lord Recluse and Arachnos 1-50
Take on the technological villains such as Crey as your scientist levels 1-50
Weave your magic on the arcane enemies 1-50

It would be great to start a magic based character and have a list so you could go through the best magic themed content, or have your scientist go through the best science themed content.
  15. stalker, dark armor with martial arts or stj

not great, but fits the theme
  16. you could heal 151 hit points

    making numbers up
assume he had 75% resist and 20% defense (including your toggles)

that means he gets hit 25% of the time and takes 25% of the damage. Basically 1/16 of the damage thrown at him gets through

that means your heal of 151 points is countering 151 x 16 damage = 2,416

healing squishies does not make that much difference, but healing tough characters provides a huge multiplier to effectiveness.

Asheron's Call used that system. It worked very well.

You added your armor rating, but it got harder and harder to make it meaningfully better.

It still takes me months to get from Level 1 to 50. Probably 5 or more, on average.
Sure, because of the way you play.

if you really wanted to get a character to 50 in a week you could. You just don't.

I have one level 50 after 5 years of play. Getting to level 50 is not a big deal to me, I don't care about achieving it.

The point is, suppose you want AT's at level 50. You could level each to 50, or you could level one to 50 and get an alternate build with the other AT.

If getting to 50 is something you really want to do, you can get the second one to 50 in hours. So forcing you to go to AE and farm to level it had very little impact on your overall playtime.
  19. so I am seeing:

be able to change powersets but not AT
    be able to change AT
have to level each up separately
share level but have to earn incarnate powers separate for each
share a name among multiple character slots that are otherwise separate characters

I don't think leveling to 50 is much of an issue at this point, but getting incarnate powers is a big deal.

I like the idea of sharing a name among character slots. They would all be the same player, and everything else would follow normal rules. Seems a nice ability with no real downside.

  21. The correct answer to the OP is that powersets are balanced, not powers. Any individual power may be better than any other individual power. Tier 9's are often not just not as good, they are bad and skipped on many powersets. Crashing nukes and defenses come to mind.

if Plant is better than Mind as a set, there is a problem
if a power in Plant is better than a power in Mind there is no problem

    keep calm and carry on
  22. I have one 50, he has unlocked Alpha and not slotted anything
I do not expect to have any slotted incarnates, ever

If nothing else it's useful to know of missions that can naturally provide the portal if you don't have an SG and don't want to bother someone.
    Doc Delilah actually at 20

looking at the list of hero ways to get the badge they seem to be Faultline, or lvl 40+

Using the Galaxy Echo at 14 would seem much simpler and faster
