if they were fixing text errors they would have called it "Fixing all of the things"

it should not be the phalanx, it should be the shining stars singing to their stern father Manticore.

Quote:medicine pool would be fine if you could get a heal self without taking other powersNo mentions about Flurry? That power really blows...
The medicine pool is another horrible pool, would love to rid it of it's interrupts.
it has to be worse at healing than actual healing sets -
archery has had RoA, the other nukes will be similar. If that didn't break the game, these won't either.
the simple fact is that blasters cannot break the game. Corrs, Defenders, and Controllers already can and have for a long time.
a group of 8 fire/kin corrs with speed boost so they can nova every 20 seconds will trivialize almost everything - even without fulcrum shift. -
soloing a corr on +0 I barely noticed scourge. I'm sure it happened sometimes, but damage comes in such chunks they often go from not half defeated to defeated.
I am sure at higher difficulty the mobs stay up longer and are below half health more often.
when playing a corr you also want to change your attack order to do your high damage attacks first and finish off with your low damage attacks. Get them below 50% health and then get scourge. But given how recharge works, that often screws up your attack chain.
additionally, blasters have melee attacks that do a lot of damage. A corr vs a blaster both only using their blast powerset may be a fair comparison, but if the blaster is using their secondary attacks their damage will be much higher. -
to be clear, you are not losing damage to make the nuke not crash
they are removing the chance of extra damage and making it flat damage so it is consistent
they are reducing the recharge time so you can use it more frequently
it is doing the damage it should for its new recharge time
removing the crash is just a bonus -
not using IO's is failing to exploit the system to its maximum potential
it is not gimping yourself - you can still do +0/x1 missions easily (unless you are a blaster) -
Quote:those trials are boring and easy and give you a respecThere are however 2 Trials with a minimum level of 24. The Terra Volta Reactor Trial (Jane Hallaway as the contact) and the Tree of Thorns Respecification Trial (Sparcetriel as the contact).
So there is a precedent for Heroes getting one thing with 24 and Villains getting something similar yet different with 24.
so one can conclude that issue 24, if there really is one, will be boring, make things too easy, and give you a respec. -
any bonus to bad powers in blast sets helps defenders and corruptors more because they have fewer attacks. So having more good ones to choose from helps them more.
blasters just have too many attacks. Making some better simply means they will skip others. It does raise their power level, but it does not solve the basic problem.
the way to help blasters would be to make their attacks very situational but amazing in that situation.
I think these changes are good for blasters - but as noted they simply raise the floor, they do not give blasters a niche. -

if you think dying means get closer chronologically to the time you die, then you have a very bad definition of dying. A useless definition.

When spiderman was created he was the 4th strongest hero in the marvel universe. Like all scrappers, he did not get buffed whereas everyone else did. Leaving his damage pathetic. A perfect example of how scrappers need to be buffed.
-
given that each issue is put on test for a month or so before release, it is always anticlimactic by the time it is released - for people who follow the boards.
For the other 98% of the players it is a surprise. -
I am surprised no one has posted about how big of a nerf to Scrappers i24 is.
first they made brutes do more damage than scrappers
then stalkers did more damage than scrappers
now blasters will do more damage than scrappers
the scrapper AT is basically useless now. And it is the AT that pretty much defines comics - wolverine, spiderman, superman, iron fist, bat man, flash, wonder woman, etc.
if they do not fix scrappers in i24 I foresee massive numbers of people quitting in crit -

Quote:after issue 23, but before issue 25
Excellent news indeed.
Since incarnate Judgement demonstrated what a "nuke" *should* have been
from the get-go, I've been wondering when the devs would quit dragging their
heels and relent to correcting this long-standing game mechanic.
Is there a ballpark ETA on when this would go live?

is the OP asking for the max number of enemies to be reduced in poison?
8 foot radius, maybe max 4 targets? -
I don't care about bases. I don't even use my SG base for the teleporters.
but at least bases don't ruin the game like incarnate powers -

interesting ideas
still don't see Fighting being used for attacks because who needs extra attacks by the time you can get them? And if you want an attack with knockdown get Air Superiority
Presence might be nice for characters that lack any control. I can see this for Blasters - if Pacify dumps aggro from everyone, or even just that one boss trying to kill you. Might help blasters a lot on teams.
Nukes - looks good, more damage more often
Dual Pistols - I will remake my DP corr I believe. I loved the look, but it was just too slow. I still probably won't play a blaster. Although a western dual pistols blaster with the presence pool might be cool. -
you can have a rescue ally linked to it - but she will already be on the map
you can have a fight, that would spawn triggered by the other objective completed
but then you might get multiple of her -
