And we needed this silly system to do that, why? We've already had a community that helped its fellow players (and thankfully, due to the poor documentation of the genre, and specifically, this game).

This was an unnecessary, and potentially grievous, addition to the game. We already have documents and utilities outside of the game done by players, for players. We already have a help channel for players to help players. We already have players who help players through other means.

There was no reason for this added system, and not surprising, most people I see aren't even using it. I certainly don't. That doesn't mean I won't answer questions I see in chat, or help a player who PM's me. But it does mean I won't take part in a bad idea, whereby the only suggestion I would make in regards to it is to nuke it into the sun.

    Yep.

    To both of them.
  4. Dark is the natural pairing, and in many respects the best pairing. It matches up with the innate abilities of the pets very well.

Traps is really good on anything, though, and is always a possible secondary if the playstyle suits you.

Did you IO your characters in a day? Just walked into Issue 9, purples fell from the sky and you slotted them.

Did you get to 50 in a day?

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I'm coming to the conclusion that Either I'm missing something big (or several somethings big) or that the Devs really missed the boat on this one...
Have you considered that you, and others that present this argument, may have missed this one? That perhaps you're (for some reason) treating the incarnate powers differently than you treated general leveling and enhancements?

Does anyone know if there was a stealth-ne...er..I mean, "damage output adjustment" ?
Several reports of problems with alpha slots in the incarnate trials. Possible connection?
  8. I'm having more fun than I have in the game (on a consistent basis) for some time.

You actually feel like you accomplish something now, instead of just hitting the button and getting your cheese.

It really isn't that hard. It's different, certainly. It some bit of teamwork, certainly. And it takes a lot of perseverance to overcome the fact you don't yet have the incarnate powers.

But mostly, it takes a positive attitude and a willingness to overcome the inevitable deaths.

    Amen.

The biggest problem I'm seeing: Most teams defeat themselves before the trial ever starts. I've seen it time after time:

"We can't do it with one team."
    "Someone will screw it up."

On and on. In fact, several of the successful ones I have been on have been nothing more than teams that attempted to do it to the best of their ability to see how far they could get, and then wound up finishing it. Or in some cases, got very close.

Positive attitude and perseverance is far more important right now than powersets and experience.

Call me bitter, but the content after GR has gone from bad to worse. Stacking spawns on top of stacking spawns. I remember when things like this were considdered a bug!
Did it just this afternoon. Granted, we didn't think we could do it, either, but sure enough, it got done.

These posts will be hilarious in 2 weeks when everyone cries about these things being too easy.
  17. Noticed the same thing, but only during the sabotage stage.
  18. The same thing is happening on Lamda.
  19. Had the same thing happen at the start of a Lambda.

Tanks: If you are on a team, let the Tank do his job and draw aggro before you run in to control/buff/damage. Give him 1-2 seconds, and if he is a decent tank, he will draw the aggro of those mezzing foes. Don't try to race the Tank to beat him into the next spawn (which I see often).
Bolded for emphasis. So many of the 'problems' seen on the forum can be 'solved' with this one simple suggestion.

Yeah, the Ninjas really need slotted for endurance, which isn't too big of a problem, given the nature of the pet sets. Once slotted, though, it's no longer a real issue, and on the whole, I wouldn't consider it an issue anymore than I'd consider any endurance slotting for any AT an issue.

If, anything, I'd suggest that many of the endurance costs, overall, are counterproductive to making the AT less dependent on having 6 pets always active. Many of the secondary sets are very, very expensive to use, as are the pet upgrades.

Agreed. It has a very fake feel about it all. It'll work if Reynolds can pull it off, but if he can't, it'll just feel like a cheesy action movie.
