  1. You really think it's that bright and overpowering over a long enough period and happens often enough to be a nuisance?

Turns out four of my eight cores were running at around 80-90% efficiency, and four were doing nothing. I thought City of Heroes just wasn't able to use them (which may still be the case), but no. Turns out Windows 7 had "parked" them.
From my experience of watching what the 8 threads are doing while the game is running is that two of them are running the game (CoH is built for 2 threads) and the other 2 threads are running all the other stuff running in the background or other programs.

The good news is that when I dual box on a i7, the second instance of CoH grabs two of the unused threads rather than stacking on the ones used by the first instance. So, i7s are a dual boxer's dream.

Now, if we can only get to the point to convince a Crossfired ATI set-up to use the 2 GPU for two instances of CoH instead of trying to run both instances on the first GPU, we'd be golden.
  3. Clarissa Constance Moore! You come out of Grandville right now and be a good girl!!

((Although, what would War Witch *do* if it enabled her to get her body back on the Primal plane? Hm....))

Then what you want to do is use your second build for exemplaring down by:

    1. Five- and six- slotting all your powers chosen for level 32 and under.

    2. Frankenslot for maximum aspect enhancement, not IO bonuses. You want level 45+ IOs and HOs that enhance multiple aspects that give more overall enhancement. Since exemplaring over-reduces enhancement values, you want to over-enhance way past ED. Aim for 100-120% values for Damage and ACC. When you exemplar down to level 15, it will wind up being only 50% in value.

    3. For powers at levels 35 and above, pick utility powers that don't need slotting, such as Vengeance or Team Teleport or Stealth. This way, your 'low level' build will still be functional for most level 50 stuff. Also, you'll be able to switch builds every 15 minutes to recharge Assemble the Team and Mission TPer rather than wait an hour for them.

    Dude, are you a bro?

    Seriously,

    1. Hi!

    2. When will these features debuting in 17 official content make their way to the MA?
    1) Branching dialogue and events
    2) Dopplegangers

    Dopplegangers...

Branching was added to the game in Issue 12. If you do the Origins of Power arc, the contact whose origin matches your own has a different dialog for you. However, it hasn't been leveraged until now. I'm guessing that the coding that allowed it to happen was incorporated into the content-writer's version of their Mission Architect so that Dr. Aeon can go hog-wild incorporating branching dialing and branching events into the new arcs he wrote without having to get the programmers to code it for him.

That's right, branching *events*. In one of the new arcs, you make certain decisions which cause certain signature NPCs to show up to fight you or not depending on what you chose.

I'm sure that this new tech will eventually make its way to the player's MA.

On a separate note: All four new contacts and the refurbished Posi TFs include dopplegangers -- clones, extra-dimensional, shapeshifters, magical constructs, etc.... I'm sure being able to put one into a MA arc will become available some day.

WRT: Kill-alls: Not one of the missions in either of Posi's new TFs is a kill-all. (At least, in Closed Beta it wasn't... things can change.)

    No, there hasn't.

    Winged Boots

    From the Wiki: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Costume_Piece:_Winged_Boots

    Quote:
This recipe, when crafted, will give the crafting character the ability to add the Winged Boots at the Tailor.

There are four styles of Winged Boots, which all become available with the recipe: "Plate", "Pegasus", "Dragon", and "Tech". They all give your character a blurred aura when moving, jumping, or flying, and the aura color is dependent on the primary color of the boots.

Make sure you have max particle count turned up a bit in Menu > Options > Graphics Tab.

Team TP to the rescue! I TTPd the thirty something pets and player en masse down the hallways about 40 feet per jump every 20 seconds. We were like a gelatinous cube, but with more teeth.

A good example of this is Taunt. In PvP, Taunt is just like every other mez: it's either on or off. And if your Taunt magnitude beats the foe's magnitude of protection from Taunt, then you've successfully Taunted your foe and its agro is locked onto you.

For a while, all the players *and* the developers thought that was how Taunt worked in the PvE world... but it didn't. A few years ago, we had a case where some scrappers were able to grab agro from a foe and no matter what a Tanker with a higher magnitude of Taunt did, that Tanker couldn't steal the agro away from the Scrapper. Only in researching through the code line by line did the developers discover what the original coder did: for PvE, Taunt magnitude was merely a multiplier of Threat, and Threat was the ultimate determiner of agro for critters. Since Damage was also a multiplier of Threat, a Scrapper doing high damage was able to keep a Taunting Tanker from grabbing agro.

So, that was a clear case where legacy (and presumably, undocumented) code was not understood and causing problems.

Yes, we have, on store shelves, boxes for the game. Specifically CoV boxes. Not Architect Edition, not GvE. CoV boxes.

Yes, we have timecards. No, timecards are not easy to find, and they are often mis-priced; WoW timecards are 60 days and priced accordingly, while NCSoft timecards are 30 days, but priced like WoW 60-day timecards. Yes, I have tried to correct the stores, despite being met with blank stares.

No, US-based advertising will probably not reach us.

No, conventions in the US do not matter to us. Not all of us can afford the time and money for plane tickets (and not the short hops from one US locale to another, but intercontinental, likely halfway across the world) to attend.

No, advertising on sites that are region-locked to the US for the most part (off the top of my head, Hulu and Pandora) will not reach us.

Yes, we know we're not as populous as the US playerbase. Yes, we are aware that we're usually just lumped in the US population, since we use the US client.

No, we have no idea if we're under any sort of consideration from Marketing, and if so, how much.

    Yes, we'd like to know.
Shouldn't you have posted this in Black Pebble's marketing thread. The one he promised to read?

Actually, those are the photo-realistic faces added for CoV. I've begged to have them available for players, but have had no response either way.

Here are the CoV higher texture faces (and a few legacy ones to show the difference)...
