Winged Boots

The Paragon Wiki says that Winged Boots give your character a blur aura while moving that is dependent upon the boot color. I don't seem to see an aura on my character; is this information out of date? I tried it with no powers, with sprint only, and with super speed, but I don't see anything.

Anyone else with Winged Boots able to give this a try?

the only thing i know is that wing boots will do something only if you have fly or flying type powers, they work just like any other wing except attached to a different part of your character

This^^^. They only animate for certain travel powers. Are you just walking around with them on?

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

No. Rocket boots activate for flight. Winged boots have the animation activated by running and the OP specifically said he used Super Speed. And they do NOT flap, so they are NOT like regular wings.

OP: What color? The aura, which is only around the boots, is very faint and if you set it to a dark color, it's practically invisible. I have the winged boots on a toon with light blue and white armor with the aura white. It's definitely noticeable with a light color selected.

This recipe, when crafted, will give the crafting character the ability to add the Winged Boots at the Tailor.

There are four styles of Winged Boots, which all become available with the recipe: "Plate", "Pegasus", "Dragon", and "Tech". They all give your character a blurred aura when moving, jumping, or flying, and the aura color is dependent on the primary color of the boots.

One of my Peacebringers and two Scrappers have the winged boots and i can assure you the wings animate not at all. Never, no animation, nada, nil, zip, bupkiss.

This is how they work. The auras/trails come from the boots themselves and are quite visible with a bright boot colour. Offhand i can't recall for sure whether the aura uses the first or second boot color, but i'm pretty confident it's the first color.

Edit: And Zombie_Man beats me to it. With pictures no less. Curse youuuuuu!

I checked the boots again -- it was the color. They were black & green, with black as the primary. I checked them out with a green primary and the aura is easily visible. Changing it back, I squinted really hard and was able to detect the black aura also.

Thanks for the replies!
