Quote:That's how I thought it worked, thank you.

So my next question is, to an extent, why bother?
Unless I'm missing something, the Common Incarnate Enhancement does the exact same thing as the Very Rare, except the Very Rare probably has a level boost. Someone talk some sense into me.- On an 'Incarnate Build' the Boost starts freeing up a lot of slots making going for better IO Sets feasible without gimping oneself in other areas.
- Part of the Boost bypasses ED. People spend 150 mil inf for 7.5% global recharge with LotG. With the uncommon recharge boost, you get more than that for every power, from 9% recharge on powers already at the ED cap and 33% for those under ED.
- The exact bonuses are not set in stone yet. They can be changed based on feedback in playtest.
- This is only the first of 10 Incarnate Slots. Don't expect one slot to make you uber Statesman. They all need to build up to something.
- For me, the uncommon boost had a noticeable effect on my toons.
-
Probably never.
EU Test Server is being taken over for I19 Closed Beta for EUers.
Buy more slots on Test. You won't get charged. Just keep buying and claiming... it will open. -
Quote:What two types are you thinking of?So right now there are only 2 types of Incarnate "Abilities"?
Right now, there is just the Alpha Power (lets avoid the word Slot for now).
You unlock access to the Alpha Power through the Mender Ramiel arc. But, by itself, that Alpha Power is empty -- it has no buffs.
So, you need to put a Booster into that Alpha Power. The ones available are the Alpha Common Boosters and the Alpha Uncommon Boosters:
List of Boosts:
Cardiac (Common) - 33% EndRedux
Cardiac Radial (Uncommon) - 33% EndRedux / 20% Damage Resist
Cardiac Core (Uncommon) - 33% EndRedux / 20% Range
Musculature (Common) - 33% Damage
Musculature Radial (Uncommon) - 33% Damage / 33% Def Debuff
Musculature Core (Uncommon) - 33% Damage / 33% Immob
Nerve (Common) - 33% Acc
Nerve Radial(Uncommon) - 33% Acc / 20% Def
Nerve Core(Uncommon) - 33% Acc / 33% Hold
Spiritual (Common) - 33% Recharge
Spiritual Radial (Uncommon) - 33% Recharge / 33% Healing
Spiritual Core (Uncommon) - 33% Recharge / 33% Stun
Boosts are *crafted* just like IOs. The recipe is already in the Incarnate Power GUI, you just need the components and shards. Shards are drops from defeating foes that drop level 50 loot (rarity equal to about a Rare Recipe). Components can come from level 50 TF/Raid reward tables, or, by crafting components from Shards. -
Incarnate Slots are not slotted into powers. They are like a separate power. The Alpha Slot's Boost is to boost certain aspects of all your other powers. The Boosts of the other Slots will have different effects, e.g., a pet, or a level shift.

The Accolade Powers and 'Temp' Powers that are not flagged to be unenhanceable to Recharge Reduction do benefit from global recharge such as Hasten and IO Recharge Bonuses.
So far the ones that are not affected by Global Recharge are Mission Transporter and one other popular one whose name escapes me for the moment, but someone will be by to fill us in.
Geas is indeed affected by global recharge. -
It is obviously clear there is *not* a black device in her hand, but that is the shade of her hand on her face.
Though it looks sunny, the heavy coats portray a chilly day. She was probably warming her ear. The index and forefinger are cupped behind the upper ear. Or she had an earache. Or she was trying to block out noise from the street.
Or time travelers are fat. -
Feedback:
Full body auras that are full body:
The legacy auras created full body auras by having little auras at all the skeletal nodes. It's nice to see the new full body auras which are fully full-body and go in a seamless head-to-toe animation.
The Leaves are a excellent example of this. Plus, they have a pseudo-physics quality such that they trail behind you when you move. I say 'pseudo-physics' because unlike real physics object -- like the rose petals from the rosepetals emote -- they aren't affected by in-game 'wind.' While running Hurricane, the rose petals will get picked up and orbit you, but the leaves from the Leaves Emote won't.
One would expect the Tarot Cards to do the same, but they don't. The full body version of the Tarot Cards are locked-animation to the movement of the body and that makes them look horrible. E.g., as you run, you bob up and down and that's exactly what these supposedly floating cards do... bob up and down. But strangely, if one chooses the fist and head version of the Tarot Cards, they *do* float away when you move. Very strange. The full body version should be changed so that the cards are not locked to body motion.
Another problem with true full body auras is that they move too quickly (with the exception of Leaves). Whether its Firefly, Tarot, or Runes, they move a lot faster than you'd expect: Is there an invisible industrial fan following me?
And another issue with the full body auras (excepting Leaves) is that they're all helical. That sort of looks OK with Firefly since insects do move like that and follow each other like that, but it doesn't look good when the Runes or Tarot cards do that. I'd like to see the full body Tarot cards blow upward and descend like a fountain. I'd like to see the Runes rotate in a cylinder than follow a helical arc.
(Suggestion for the future: A double helical chromosomal aura!)
Un-lock-step the animations
When one puts Tarot Cards on the hair and fists, the three animation points all animate in sync with each other which gives it a mechanistic look rather than a more natural or organic look. E.g., when running with those three nodes active with Tarot Cards, rather than have a trail of cards behind you, there are 'puffs' of cards as all three nodes emit and leave behind cards at exactly the same time. It would be nice if they weren't in lock-step sync.
Love the Tarot Sparkles!
The old Sparkles Aura blink in static placement. The sparkles in the Tarot Aura float and move. It would be nice to have floaty, Las Vegas, champagne sparkles as a separate aura or an an addition to the Sparkles Aura.
Make Hurricane a Combat Stance!
Thunderhead Combat Stance + Hurricane = Awesome, right? Not when Hurricane doesn't keep one in Combat Stance.

I think the problem is SSK to a level that's appropriate for the zone, but not appropriate *for you*.
So, a level 2 toon SKK'd to 49 won't get costume drops in PI, but a level 2 SSK'd to 6 in Atlas Park should.
Unless I'm misunderstanding the problem... -
Just remember, when Temp powers are suppressed (like a Masters of... TF) you won't be able to Fly if you rely on Temp Fly powers.
Use your second build wisely. -
Quote:Actually.... there's been a change.Nice, I mostly play blasters!
As a side-question, once Fly is again working as intended, a level 50 Fly IO will put you at the fly speed cap, correct? Meaning any other speed buffs (enhancements, set bonuses, buffs like Speed Boost) would have no effect, right? I ask because I think may be wasting some slots on some characters...
The 50% buff is staying and Blasters will be 'fixed' to match that.
Not joking. Wish I was. Fly will now only have nominal benefits (less End, e.g.) over Temp Fly powers making Fly an easily dumped power on any tight build. That's not a good 'balance' with regard with regard to game mechanics.
The I18 Patch Notes that says 50% buff stands as being correct.
(And since this is often a point of confusion, remember, this is a buff to the *base* speed, not to the cap. This buff to the *base* speed, however, causes everyone to hit the cap. Suggesting that the *cap* be raised is regarded as a non-starter.) -

These guys, Moosebutter, are the originators of song. Corey lip synched it and made it virally popular. And then Moosebutter re-did it as a response to Corey (note at the end how one of them 'calls' Corey and asks if they did it right).
This guy actually sings it and harmonizes with himself.
Apparently, you can tell when each video is done because they tell you which episode is coming next. Keep that in mind when you do your version. -
It's a great farm mission at 8x.
You can pull large amounts of foes to a narrow doorway, and then the ambushes come to you. I don't know any squishie that couldn't knock off that map at 8x with ease at level 50. -
"Sphinx!"
"I am so going to retire here."
Also, we learn that Hatred didn't molest Billy... much. -
I'd like a 2 window (or, multi-window) solution so that the windows can not only be split between 2 screens (or more), but on a wide screen monitor, I can set a sidebar (or a left and right sidebar) for all the chat and 2D GUI items and leave a clear window for the game (or with the minimal 2D GUI items I want overlayed).

Quote:Never made it to the Patch Notes or official announcements. But it did make it to the Wiki: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Halloween_Event_2010I just got the message that I can access the witches' hat on my villain after getting the Meticulous Badge. Was this announced somewhere and I missed it? Am I going to have to try and get this badge on every single one of my villains this week before the offer expires?
But like Lemur Lad said, it's a bit anti-climactic now that a villain can become a rogue and do the KHTF and get the hat that way now. So, basically, the hat's been available for villains for a month already. -
I like confusing Rikti Guardians so as to get their Accelerated Metabolism buff.

Quote:Because if Fly got buffed to the point where it's as fast as SuperSpeed, then no one would take SuperSpeed. So how would a travel power that suppresses be unbalanced in any way (if every travel power got a buff)?
How can you bring balance into discussion of a noncombat power that's purely there to make more fun?
But I know what's coming next: "But SuperSpeed has Stealth!"
Which means that after Fly gets buffed to be as fast as SuperSpeed, then players would start whining for Fly to get Stealth, too, because... wait for it... "it's as fast as SuperSpeed!" -
Quote:Yes, it is buggy. Toons that were around from the last beta got tagged with an automatic unlocked alpha slot which causes Ramiel to brush you off.I'm confused. I have a lvl 50 tank and I have purchased Going Rogue but the Mender said I wasn't ready for the arc yet. Any ideas? Could it be a bug or is there some other prereq for a lvl 50 toon? Thanks
Transfer over a new level 50 (when the copy tool is working) or level up one.
I don't know if people have yet tried a respec or level up a second build to trick Ramiel into talking to them... -

Quote:Every loss of power, no matter how insignificant, no matter how justified, or even no matter how untrue, must be fought with every ounce of power in one's body because it is a NERF. And NERFS are evil. NERFs ruin the game. A NERF killed my father and had its way with my mother and sisters and foreclosed on the farm. A NERF can only be countered with a rage the burns hotter than a million suns.So....this change won't affect anyone of high enough level to enhance to the cap, and those of lower levels wouldn't be able to hit the cap anyway by virtue of not being able to access powerful enough enhancements.
I'm flying at 58.63 mph now, and after the change, I'll be flying at 58.63 mph.
I'm very confused as to why anyone would be upset about this.
So, does that explain it? -
