    Hero One TF?

    *Massive SPOILERS in this link*

    Manticore, eh?
  2. Hrmm.

On the one hand, ballsy of you to kill off your big signature hero.

On the other hand, you've still got two more stories to go, which makes me feel like Statesman will just get resurrected or something.

And yeah, kinda killed the suspense of it, too.
  3. I like what I see. Especially seeing Cobra in a completely ridiculous plot where they take over the freakin' U.S.

    Hero One TF?

To bring this thread a little back on topic, it would be neat if eventually Honoree did get un-Rikti-fied like the Vanguard have been trying. You could possibly unlock him and his TF by finishing the LGTF. That way the character storyline isn't too horribly messed up.

"Why is Hero One a Rikti? I just ran his Taskforce the other night and he wasn't Rikti! Why is this happening I don't even! D:"

And yeah, Hero One is way cooler than Statesman.
  5. Feels too obvious. But he is up there in "Most likely to die", along with Sister Psyche, Citadel, and Synapse.

Positron has his fancy new TF, Statesman is plastered all over CoH, Numina's already beaten the devs to it by being dead, Manticore was just recently prominently featured in Twinshot's arc. They're safe.

Psyche dying would give Manticore more reason to be like Batman and angst out. BABs because of reasons stated above. Citadel being destroyed could potentially open up a spot for a company or group like Crey to try to bust out a new robot hero, giving us a little more variety in hero groups and having said group save face with the people. Synapse because it'd be more tragic to kill off the lovable speedster.

Plus Citadel, Synapse, and Psyche have awful TFs that could stand to be updated.

*edit* Also, you're terrible at posting forum titles, mang. Someone's gonna come in here and complain you're potentially spoiling the SSA for 'em.

So, because one of my characters doesn't wear their pants on the outside they are, somehow, NOT a super hero? They have super powers? Check. They save lives and such, generic heroing stuff? Check.
    Do they wear spandex? Uhm...

"No? Oh, sorry, you're not a Super Hero."

    BULL **** ALERT!!

I like Heroes. I like Villains. I like being able to choose how the smegging hell *I* want them to look, without any smeg-headed stupid enforcement on what is and is not a 'Superhero' or villain.
WoW didn't invent fantasy. Fantasy itself is not exempt from being 'Super Hero'y. Hell, they even did a mini-series of Spawn/Witchblade crossover set in a Fantasy variant world! I guess that doesn't count as comic book enough for you?

I find this whole argument utterly bloody stupid. I, personally, don't tend to make spandex characters, with two exceptions BECAUSE IT WORKED FOR THOSE CHARACTERS. If someone then told me that spandex is the ONLY valid 'Superhero' outfit, I would tell them to get the hell out while I laughed at them. End of.
    You get really angry, sir.
  7. I'm glad they made it solid. Looks tacky being wire frame. Maybe if a wire frame globe was somewhere in front of, like, a planetarium, on it's own or something.

    Any know if...

Paragon City really needs a lot more things in it to make it seem like an actual city. Gas stations, barber shops, malls, fire stations, hospitals that don't look like they were hastily built to accommodate all the heroes, etc.
  9. I have a Forcefield/Beam Rifle Defender. He's at 22, but I really enjoy playing him so far.
  10. You mean actually utilizing groups we don't see that often, revamping a graphically ancient zone, and using old lore that's hardly ever touched on to present us with a threat in the form of a dark God?

Because if that's what you meant, I kinda do want them to keep busting out content like that.
  11. I wouldn't mind seeing the Golden Age and Silver Age of comics get some love.

We really do need more basic designs that aren't super overly detailed. Like trims for capes, gloves, boots, etc. How are we missing a basic trim for these things?

Better masks would be great, too. And I don't just mean updating the painted on masks we have now to look better. We could use some more mask options in general. Like a mask like the Green Hornet has, that covers the eyes and nose.

Or more varied and generic helmets with customization for them.

The devs need to make an iTrial specifically for a single player to beat. It should involve the AV walking right up to where I stand, challenging me, and me pressing buttons for my optimal attack chain until victory is achieved. It shouldn't involve any sort of strategerie or thought on my part, just pressing buttons until I inevitably win and claim my E-merits.

Faceplanting is not an option! So if an AV attack is about to bring me below 1 hit point, the AV should stop, laugh, and explain some of the story about how weak I am and how he is going to win(allowing me time to regen some and heal up!). I should have as much time as I need to read what is said before the fight begins again, at which point I win. The bottom line is, I must win in order to have fun.
    Calm down.
  13. A lot of this stuff sounds kind of like what Champions did. That game was ridiculously silly and never took itself seriously. I don't want CoH to turn into a game like that
  14. Gotta keep up with the news. I22 is gonna bust out an entire zone that will have solo Incarnate content dedicated to it. Revamped Dark Astoria, the god Mot has finally surfaced and only one with the power of an Incarnate can face such a dark god. Mobs in the zone will even grant iXP, making street sweeping rewarding.

Banished Pantheon and Tsoo will have special level 50 enemies made for the zone to face us. It will also intro a new Incarnate Trial for people that enjoy raid-level content. The zone will be co-op, but will be filled with chances for heroes to be heroes and villains to be villains.
  15. The Vanguard Doormen need to be entirely updated. If you click on them, they still tell you you have to be level 35 in order to enter, which hasn't been true for years.
  16. Now if only they'd update the Atlas Park loading screen with the new Atlas statue. For some reason, it's still using a pic from the old Atlas statue.
  17. I remember running it for the first time a year or so ago. It was incredibly fun, although a bit challenging. But it was definitely something different from "Beat up this boss!" like so many TFs and what not are. I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind if it got tweaked to churn out better rewards.
  18. I like the trials. They're pretty fun.
  19. Staff fighting has been speculated for a few months now due to leaked information such as a video showcasing all the animations and power information accessible in game.

Plus, at the Player Summit thing, the devs officially confirmed Staff Fighting as an up and coming powerset that will be purchasable and will come out some time after I22 has launched. I can't pull up any sources, but I'm sure a little search-fu, looking for Player Summit info, will get you what you want.
  20. Are you a part of any global channels like Virtue TFs? People advertise on those regularly for iTrials, TF,s etc. That might help.

I'm a little surprised about you having trouble with Keyes, especially since they tweaked it. I haven't run anything else but that the few times I pop into the RWZ for Trials.
