Is it just me, or does he look a lot more like Lou Ferrigno?

S'all good. Just a heads up for future events, keep late comers in mind. I'd be down for more RP events in the future. S'always a good thing.

Quote:It's the fact that they aren't used more that makes them even cooler. Too much of a good thing, y'know?Title pretty much says it all. I just want a wee boot high hamidon blob with it's own lil bright nucleus that oozes around following me.
or a mini-Avatar. That model needs to be used more too.
But yeah, /signed on getting a mini-Hami. Would make an awesome vanity pet for mad scientists types. -
Wish I could've made it to the event. I was a little late, so I guess I missed the meet up at the hospital. When I did arrive, I couldn't find where everyone was at, thanks to the fog and me being in the mid-20s for level. Tried asking a few times over broadcast, but no one seemed inclined to help :\

There are plenty of Tsoo in Steel Canyon. Check around the area of the Icon. Serge even sends you on a mish to clear the Tsoo from around his business to get your second costume slot.

Quote:When we got the ability to change the colors of our powers, I believe the devs had to rework every single primary and secondary powerset, incorporating the ability for the powers to be customizable. It was by no means a simple flip of the switch to do this. There were tons of changes implemented everywhere, and the process was probably made twice as hard because CoH is filled with old, confusing code left behind by old devs that no longer work here. They face that same hurdle, and then a little more, with Power Pools and Epic Pools. If programming time for such an oft-requested feature is not available, I have to worry about who is actually running this game. If so many people want something so basic, it should be near the top of the To Do list, unless the devs just don't give a crap about the customers.
It is by no means an easy task, and if they had a choice between allocating those resources to brand new powersets people have been asking for for ages, or towards slight customization of extra powers, it's a no brainer where they're gonna put those resources. Staff Fighting, Beast Mastery, Street Justice, Titan Weapons, and an Incarnate End Game system have been requested far more than removing that effect from Hasten, anyhow, so I'd say the devs are picking what to focus on correctly. -
Perhaps if this were more of a fresh issue that isn't talked about often at all, yeah. But people constantly ask for the glow effect to be removed from both Super Speed and Hasten. I'm sure they are well aware of the issue.

Origins originally did have purpose, way back in the game's Alpha stages. Then it was dropped, and never touched on again. Every now and again folks do pop up with ideas for Origins, some good and some bad, but Origins will always remain how they are. Just a little something to flesh out a character's backstory more.

Quote:Just as long as we actually get something that resembles the concept art we're voting on. I've seen some of the "art vs finished 3D product"s we've had in this game, and really wish the 3D costume designers stayed truer to the source material and the concept artist's vision. So now you guys know how we feel.
The reality of game development is that it takes a LOT of time for a 3D artist to model all this stuff out, texture it, add all the modern bells-and-whistles that players expect, and finally, get everything into the system. So while it's easy for me to concept a billion ideas, it's never possible to make ALL of them in 3D.
Therefore, the trick is in picking the ONE set that best captures the chosen theme, and fortunately, you guys will be helping us do that on this one. We're putting the "wisdom of the crowd" to the test, and I'm really interested to see which options you all choose. -

Agreed completely. Might want to voice your concerns in the official thread, however. Better shot of being heard and hopefully preventing something like this from happening in the future.

Quote:Thing is, yeah, we're getting those Roman pieces at level 1. But we're paying out of our pockets for that convenience. So why do you need to implement an inconvenience? Either play the content, stick with the game, and get it for free per character, or buy it up front and have it all at level 1 for all characters. Please don't try to make players do both and alienate the people that are willing to buy them now by restricting pieces from the bundle and making them "exclusive" to one path. You didn't do that with the Vanguard items and everyone loved that.Main reason: They were intentionally left out to maintain some exclusivity to the Imperious Task Force (ITF).
Players can normally obtain/unlock the Roman Costume pieces for free in-game, but this has to be done PER character by completing the ITF. The purchase of this bundle allows players to unlock many of the main costume pieces for all other characters on your account without having to do the Task Force. -

Lady Gaga's meat dress? Effing gross, and completely stupid.
Bacon roses? Best idea ever. -
Dean MacArthur is the man. I gave him a high five. It was intense.
Absolutely love the Power Loyalist arcs. I felt like a real celebrity and top dog.
Faultline is really well done. Lots of backstory, although the names are a little too wacky for some of the items and characters from it's history.
The RWZ arcs. All awesome. But I'm a sap for Rikti lore.
The Imperious Taskforce was very well done. It not only did justice to bringing back the Fifth Column, but the maps in and of themselves were designed to hide the Fifth until it was time to fight them. Perfect combination of game design and story meshing. -
I'd buy it. Can't remember the last time sets like Archery or Claws got new weapons. Would also be nice to get a few new Spines, while we're at it, as well.
-
Okay, that monkey is awesome.

Fiery Melee. I would love to see some Martial Arts attacks thrown in there, and see the Fire Sword attacks replaced with something that isn't weapon based.
Also, Dual Pistols. I understand people love to play characters that flip around and flail in their attacks, but every concept I've wanted to make with those pistols just doesn't mesh well with the animations. Would be nice if we got some more "Stand there and shoot" animations. -
Why do Spider Woman and Gambit look like they're made of silly putty? -
-
Why? Ms. Liberty already leads the Vindicators and Longbow. She's also on the fast track to being a Vigilante in her actions. And she's never even been a part of the team to begin with. Positron, meanwhile, is personable, a genius, helped found the group, and is one of the most iconic Phalanx members both in game and out. The only possible person that could compete is Manticore, but he prefers to operate solo half the time, and the other half of the time he's making conflict within the team.
-
Agreed. Get rid of the white and the midriff. Replace it with the black like her arms, so the costume is consistent and not trying to do three things at once. Penelope Yin doesn't need to be doing the sex appeal thing, either. Something about that just seems wrong.

On the contrary, I absolutely love the new redside content. We're actually getting plots and stories where we can take control, steal, kidnap, plot, and be all around bad. No more fighting snakes just for Arachnos, getting the shaft from our superiors, and treated like dirt until the very end of the game, where we prove to the world we're awesome just in time to team up with heroes for the rest of our career.
