Actually, it does seem like a good idea to replace your 25s with 45s once you hit 42. The increased benefit is fairly significant (32.0% for the level 25 vs. 40.5% for the level 45). And by the time you are that level, the cost of upgrading to 45s should be insignificant since you should have plenty of inf to throw around.

Well, although not specifically stated, the question appears to be, "Can the devs please let us keep more than 10 enhancements after a respec?"
I thought that was pretty obvious myself. /em shrug -
For set IOs, since you keep the same primary and secondary, chances are you will be reusing a lot of them anyway, same with generics. So, you typically are not losing out on much.
If you really want to maximize what you keep, then you have to bite the bullet and use up a second or third respec, saving 10 and slotting the rest each time.
In fact, I will probably be doing that on my 50s when and if I ever get around to giving them a final optimized build. At that time, I will go ahead and use up however many respecs it takes and stash my best IOs that the final build won't need for the benefit of my alts. May as well, since after that, she should never really need to respec again, and if she does, and I'm out of free and vetspecs, I can always do the trials or wait until the next freespec comes down the pike.
By the way, is this holiday respec that will be available from the Candy Keeper this year stackable with other freespecs (like the freebie given out each issue stacks with the Patron Freespec)? How does it work? -
Problem is, those wings are not simply touching; they look like they are slicing into her bottom. Granted, since they are feathers and not steel blades, I can handwave the issue away and just claim that they are pressed and crumpled against her rump.
Still, it would be nice to have them fixed so they are placed more like the angelic wings from the vet reward.

4) Valkyrie Pack. I have a valkyrie character, but I find most of the new parts way too gaudy to use. I also hate the big bulbous joints. I do however get a lot of use out of the small shoulderpads, as well as the belt, sword, and in a couple instances the headwings. I occasionally get use out of the mission teleporter when the game wants me to go to Dark Astoria or Mercy. Quote:In my opinion the best pack released. The costume pieces blend well with others there is no real bad clipping
They clip really really bad as you can see. They need fixed by perhaps tilting them up a few degrees so they sit like the other wings in the game.
I still make pretty decent use of the wings anyway despite the bad clipping, but am hoping they do get fixed anyway. And many of the other pieces are just fantastic, not all of them, but many of them.) -

It took me two tries to name my first Warshade. First attempt was Twilight Melody. That was taken. Second attempt was Twilight Dream, who is sitting at level 40 now.

Quote:Why would that be surprising? Seeing how you picked a really odd misspelling of whatever it was you originally wanted, it would be highly unlikely that anyone else would have thought of it.wasn't too far back that I made a Psy/Fire blaster on Virtue. Syfyr. was surprised that was available.
And on that note, I was not really surprised that I was able to get Deja Thorax on Virtue. I was also not surprised that all three sensible variants of another holiday girl I was considering making were taken on Virtue: Jingle Belle, Jingle-Belle, and Jinglebelle. At least I have both Holly Day and Holly-Day there.
It was also no surprise that Nevermore and most sensible variants were not to be had on Virtue. Fortunately, Never-Moore was available, and thus was born one of my villain epics (who is also a Mercs MM on Protector, leader of Team Blackbird).

True, but there is something amusing about watching a pack of robots chase after them.
-
How so? It does what it is intended to do, and it is auto hit.
Plus, it makes a really neat magic wand for my magical heroes and villains:
Even more fun is curing them and then leading them into a pack of Clockwork or Vhaz. -
Quote:I know they are not immune to knockback. Well, at least not knockdown. In fact, it is rather satisfying hitting one with AS or Focus and seeing it get knocked on its spectral rear.CoT Ghosts - Immune to hold/sleep/knockback/etc, lowers your accuracy, and drains your health.
I am also pretty certain I have been able to hold and stun CoT spooks as well. Can't remember if I have ever slept one of them though.
Quote:Sorcerers: Kb/mez. Many sets have at least one of those. while getting up, they cannot port or do anything. mez shuts off toggles....if you can, use range. All of their debuffs effectively give them melee defense, but none elsewhere. Watch the debuff disappear with distance, then fire away. (If you can.) -
Well... Out in the real world, if you have good physical fitness, you do tend to have better resistance to infections, germs, etc. Sure, those aren't like the damage types in the game, but it shows that resistance and fitness can be intertwined. *shrug*

Quote:Of course, that attack chain goes right out the window once you hit big groups of things like Reapers, Morts, and Marksmen. Those stacked slows from the crossbows and cold rays are killer.Honestly, nearly ALL powersets have a full attack chain by level 4. About the only ones that don't are Controllers, Tankers (no tier 3 Secondary 'til 6), Mastermind, and generally builds that are built for support.
My Defender has 2 attacks. 2 at level 20, not counting Veteran Rewards. Those 2 attacks do me just fine, and have thus gotten me through the game with him. -
Quote:The Kheld Union is not all that useful. After all these years, we still are not authorized those really cool sashes sported by the likes of Sunstorm, Shadowstar, and Moonfire.
I'm pretty sure it's because Kheldians belong to a different union than Heroes.
They have their own unique contacts and story arcs, and the union stated they weren't going to take power customization without added benefits like a +10% influence bonus or the "I win" button or something.

Quote:Considering that they did not send them free to the original retailers who later dumped them at Big Lots or whatever, then that means NC/Paragon/Whatever already got their money for that box. Little thing called First Sale and whatnot. And this is why they should offer the items as microtransactions. If you do buy the $90 one - you're out $90 - and Paragon is out the free month, as I doubt any of that box sale is going to end up back at Paragon
The only person who is out anything is the doorknob who was willing to pay the $90 for the set.
*** EDIT ***
Quote:I wouldn't mind seeing the Hero Gear being available again at the store eventhough I dont need it. BUT you are somewhat incorrect about Paragon being 'out the free month'. The secondary market has no real bearing on what Paragon is or isnt 'out' of since the the box was 'sold' to someone at sometime, and Paragon did get the money that they expected even if the sale was a wholesale clearance as with the plethora of Boxes that ended up in Big Lots inventory. It would be like the Trial codes being considered 'lost money' to Paragon (they arent BTW).
Though seriously, I really was not expecting anyone else to actually think to point out the above detail. -
Quote:There is one little problem there. You can't slot level 50 IOs until level 47, so that little bit of information is not very useful throughout the greater part of a hero or villain's career.2 level 50 IO's in Fly should be plenty to cap flight speed. My level 50 Defender with 1 flight speed slot in Fly, 1 in Swift and a couple minor set bonuses is over the cap for for flight speed. If i dropped Swift from the build i would still be just slightly below the speed cap.

When they spoke, was it in speech bubbles, or was it limited to the pet chatter chat channel? If it was the latter, then that particular aspect is still broken.

Also, /em eat would become /em nom
Ms. Liberty would be moved to Skyway City, and Mynx would become the trainer in Atlas Park. -
So I was correct in making Guardian my personal "Silly Server?" That is where I have characters such as: Bow Chicka Bow Wow, Krispy Kremator, and The Poultrygeist. I decided to keep the silliest of the names on one server (with some exceptions like Therm O'Dynamic and Deja Thorax on Virtue for example), and Guardian was my random choice for this. Odd coincidence, hmmm? -
Quote:As several of my villains who have healing powers have had to explain several times to potential team leaders, "We are not healers. We are hurters. We will heal if needed, but we prefer to put the hurt on the enemy and generally make life hard for them, which makes life a bit easier for the team."
Someone said this game doesn't have healers?
That's an old-old misconception of words that's been fought many times over on these forums. There are healers in this game, because they have the ability to heal, therefore they are healers. If your toon can heal, you are thusly a healer. That is what was meant by the OP, and that is what was understood. So, yes, in that context, there are healers in this game.
As for Energy being a useless secondary... Remember, the enemy can't attack if he is on his back. KB, especially reliable single target KB is actually a pretty decent form of damage mitigation. The AOE stuff can be too if you know how to use it properly. And it is just plain fun.
Energy is also one of the funnest sets just due to the visual effects as well. Don't ignore the other half of your abilities. You may learn to like it. Granted, Energy is more fun for Blasters (decent stun and the wonderful Boost Range), but I do enjoy it on my Defenders as well. -
For future reference, don't edit out your original question. And also, if you find the solution on your own, it is considerate to come back and post a reply to your own post detailing said solution.

If going for a rad based character, Large Hadron may be a good name (not sure if it is available on any servers or not though, since I'm not logged in). Then again, that one could get accidentally genericed by a dyslexic GM...
