With all the doom flying around about the latest booster pack and market merge excuse me if I feel that I need to boldly state my opinion as well.

It seems as well "dog" (that IS goofy is it not?) that you didn't understand my post as well. I just agree that that markets should merge, just like you disagree about the merge. How about we agree to disagree and leave it at that.
You should stop before you really dig yourself a hole you can't get out of. If you don't know what My Bad means, there's no hope of getting through to you either way. Sorry if you're that out of tune with the rest of the world. Perhaps getting out into the real world once in a while would help.

If you have a legitimate reason for disliking the merge I can understand that...but getting bent out of shape b/c you don't like the story behind it is a bit..."interesting".

I can easily find posts in which posters have complained about the merge due to RP reasons.
My point, which may not have been clear enough from my post (my bad), is that you're seeming to single out RPers and their steadfastness for not merging when there are plenty of non-RPers with reasons of their own that can and may prove to be just as silly. I never said that RPers weren't putting up arguments against it, and I'm not defending them or defeating them.

We don't know for sure what a merged market will do until it's implemented. Those that claim to know for sure are overstepping reasonable bounds. All they can do is guess and hope. Now, when GR hits, we'll find out for sure who was right.

Because if they didn't give people the heads up that they needed to take care of their affairs now in the market they'd risk losing things, and then you'd make another thread screaming about losing something and not being told in advance.

Perhaps they also expect people to be able to read and find out information on the forums, cause they have two threads explaining everything in more detail than they could put in a pop up.

What does RPing have to do with not liking a market merge?

There's been valid arguments for doing a merger or not doing one, and none of them involved RPing a need to keep them separate.

I'm on the side that cringes when I see people asking for a merge, and if it proves successful (not as much as people are hoping, I suspect) I will gladly admit that I was wrong. I just hope the most vocal advocates for mergers will afford us the same courtesy when the markets don't do what they want it to do once things merge. I imagine that I'll see a few, but not very many.

    The hell...?

The only thing to "learn" from it is that if you act like a dill hole long enough, you'll get treated like one, and will bait people to do similar in return, much like in RL.
  7. If you play through every TF you do, whether Mo or not, with the goal of not dying, yet contributing and not just standing there, the pressure to play a different way to avoid being the first one to die is lessened greatly. You're already playing the way you normally do, just without temps.

Play within your chosen character's abilities and avoid the obvious situations where you know you'll probably die, and chances are very good that some other poor schmuck will be the first one to faceplant.

Mo's really aren't that hard when you play smart. You just have to go a bit slower and know your team.

    Question?

Also, if you're gonna keep Fly, then you need to either keep Hover or choose Air Superiority instead - the Fly power needs one of those as a pre-requisite. (Unless you've got the vet reward that lets you pick Travel power without the necessary pre-requisites. But if you had that, then you'd also have about a million respecs as vet rewards as well, so I'm thinking you probably don't )
If he's a new player, he won't have any freespecs or vetspecs. They're not given away like candy for everyone.

If you run a respec trial, you don't have to use it right away, but you can only hold so many at once, and you can only do the trial once for the respec reward at each level of it (24, 34, 44).
  9. Worst.Played.NBA.Playoffs.Ever. I don't think there was one decent series to watch the whole playoffs.

Sorry, Umann, but neither the Lakers nor the Celtics deserved to be called champions. Magic, Kareem, Bird, and McKale are all spinning in their metaphoric graves after the slop we got to witness for 7 games was put on display.

Kobe was bailed out of his epic fail in game 7 by a Celtics offense that couldn't win a game of Horse if their opponent were a kindergartner and already had H-O-R-S on them.

    This is bad

You missed Anti-Matter because he's not in Maria Jenkins arc at all. You have to do Tina McIntyre to get him.

I don't care for the Mutant Pack, and this doesn't fit in thematically with the rest of the pieces. It feels like an add-on in order to squelch disappointment in the pack and boost sales of this booster.

Don't get me wrong, listening to the playerbase is a great thing, and this looks like a terrific addition... it's just bundling it with the Mutant booster is the wrong way to go about this.

I can't really justify spending money for 14 things I don't want to get the single thing I do want. If, however, the art team were to kick out the stops and add another dozen pieces to the Mutant Pack and make it more of a Beast Pack (wolf heads, dog heads, bird heads, bird tails, animal claws to replace the weapon set Claws, etc.), then I'd be fully on board. Otherwise I agree with Ian and the others who see this as a cheap marketing ploy.

Please don't make me lose my guy love for you, David.
Has there ever been a booster pack that you loved every bit of? Most folks are paying for just one or two things in any pack they buy, and rarely if ever use the rest. Better to add something popular to a pack that wasn't getting much positive reviews in order to get it into more hands rather than just sit on their hands and allow all that negativity to fester for the next one. Like it or not, that's smart business, and that's what all this is really all about: How to get more people to part with more money.
  13. Can we please put a halt to the "Jay hates Furries" crap?

If he really had a problem making certain costume pieces, he wouldn't be employed very long.

I suppose you put yourself in this category, right? Do you honestly believe that creating a costume set can be that easy? Or two sets?

Please, please, please, come up with something half as good and show us how it's done. I bet you can't even get anything decent down on paper with a pencil, let alone rendering anything in 3D.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. Pretty simple, really. No one is forcing you to purchase every little thing that comes out of the studio and ends up on the game store page.

Wasn't aware of what the actual numbers are but it doesn't matter. The body of my point still stands. People who run AE mishes still get plenty of reward for what they're doing, and if it bothers you that you're making a bit less than you were before when you're talking thousands of xp per kill either way, there's no pleasing you*

*you in the generic sense, not you personally.
  17. When I lived in upstate New York as a wee lad, my family made the trek up to Montreal for a weekend one year. Don't remember much about it except it was grey and dingy and I couldn't read the signs.

Not sure what brought this thread on, but thanks for the tips, lol.

That way people can preview all the pieces themselves, making an informed descision on if they want it or not. And, you get more impulse buys

Obviously, also add a toggle to the Costume screen so that you can opt not to show items you don't own, so people who feel its intrusive can opt out.

But, I know thats more programming/UI stuff rather than your area.
This would be bad in so many ways. No one wants to see parts that they can't have. If they want previews, there's plenty of threads with screenshots and video links, plus getting on the test server.
  21. It seems like this Mutant booster pack highlights the undercurrent problem all of the boosters have. Each origin can be defined in many ways by many people, yet by their nature they have to be narrowed down to such a small range that a lot of people will be disappointed by the direction taken. We saw it with Tech and its focus on cyborgs, saw it again with Natural and its focus on ninjas, Magic with the wizards, and now even more so with Mutants.

This is definitely something that the Devs will be "damned if they do and damned if they don't."

Those of you that have posted screenshots of characters using the new pieces: Very nice. They all look awesome.

The only reason it's not 3-0 Lakers is cause Ray Allen couldn't miss, and even then they barely won. Sorry, Elf. You get to suffer the Laker fans for another year. (I'm not one of them. I hate em too)

While they're at it, it would also be nice if the e-mail window remembered its size/position when you opened it, too!

Annoying (possibly) but doable workaround: Claim said attachment and then resend it to yourself every couple of weeks. Doesn't matter which character you do it on (as long as it's the same faction you mailed it from), and as long as you have the capacity on your claimer to carry said item long enough to resend it.

Anyone else notice their custom mobs getting lower xp compared to pre-patch?
So you lost maybe 20 or 30 xp per mob, if that. Not sure that rates a "slightly furious" reaction. That's like complaining about having to drive 80 when you used to drive 90. You still get where you're going plenty fast enough. Isn't the point of AE to customize a mob for customization's sake and reward-be-damned?

What I meant is, before Hitler joined the Nazi party and started his propaganda, they were a small political party that no one cared about. Without Hitler Nazis would likely have never became such a big political party or win any election, and likely would either died out or remained small to this day. So in the form that most people know the Nazi Party would not have existed.
Durakken, you do know that Hitler wasn't the worst Nazi, right? Most of the most heinous actions were carried out enthusiastically by his underlings, and during his "Let's go crazy" phase, he wasn't really running the country anymore. Germany after WWI was primed for what happened. If not Adolf, someone else would have done the same thing.

Re-quoted for the extra funny. When you figure out how to explain your theory without calling everyone else an idiot, and word it in such a way that it actually makes sense, let us know. It might be a good argument if you knew what you were talking about.
