When I lived in upstate New York as a wee lad, my family made the trek up to Montreal for a weekend one year. Don't remember much about it except it was grey and dingy and I couldn't read the signs.

One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

yeah none of these are the proper translation. But for people who speak french and english it 's funny to see how badly we can massacre the language and still understand each other.
This being said, do any of you have funny translation similar? Or expression used that really shouldn't be used?
When my daughter was much younger, the following was a common, repeated conversation between the two of us:
"What does a cow say?"
"Moo!"
"What does a dog say?"
"Woof!"
"A pig?"
"Oink!"
"A frog?"
"Bonjour!"
She's part French and finds this hilarious.

Im not french at all, and I also find it hilarious
I never understood why French were referred to as "frog" but I do find this one pretty funny
