I think the current "smartest person in the world" has an 210 IQ. Of course it's quite possible that the writer has no idea what the number translates to. (I always thought it was smart of them to refer to Brainiac 5 as a 12th level intellect rather than give him some outrageous IQ number since that doesn't really translate into anything in the real world.) It's equally possible that it was just intended to show Red Tornado bragging on his kid as parents will do and not meant to be a serious comparison between her and Brainiac.

Of course does tracking Hulu viewers do them much good? One of the primary reasons for tracking viewers is so that they can set advertising rates. People who view a show on Hulu aren't going to help the broadcast network sell more advertising on the show.

I skipped it when it originally aired because I hated the first Slade Wilson episode and I saw that Cat Grant would be making another appearance. But since people were raving about how good this episode was I decided to check it out this morning online. Got as far as Homeland Security (or whatever government agency it was) screening people as they enter the Daily Planet basement and decided it was too high a level of stupidity for me to deal with and found something else to do instead.

And it will be like this only not as good.

Something else that I think has hurt SGU this season was the decision to delay airing episodes on Hulu by 30 days. If I'm watching some sitcom where what happens in one episode has no effect on what happens in other episodes then I don't mind missing an episode here or there. When I'm watching a show with an overall arc then I want to see the episodes in order so that I know what's going on. Consequently when I missed an episode I just stopped watching until that episode showed up on Hulu and by delaying Hulu by 30 days that meant I missed several more episodes in the interim.

I can't say that I'm particularly surprised. I've found SGU to be poorly written and filled with a cast of unlikeable characters.

Well, look at what he tells Dean at the end. You can tell he understands Dean not wanting to take a 12-year-old girl. I don't think he likes doing things like that any more than Dean did but he's had thousands of years to learn what happens when he goes against the balance. He's one of the most powerful beings in the universe and his life sucks.

Interesting concept. I'd be salivating over this movie if the first two hadn't killed any interest I had in seeing Michael Bay's Transformers.

Quote:Make them adolescent hamsters with black belts and you might be on to something. Now this would be a hilarious addition!
Give the rats some sort of hive mind and hidden agenda, the damn things can chew through almost anything! Could go one step further and make them radioactive Rats, to bring them in line with the COH universe.
Edit:
Must get back into an PnPRPG some time in the future! -
Quote:Well, you know, being a known top tier superhero isn't as important as being a cheap superhero and Raven is very cheap. She definitely shouldn't break the special effects budget.Raven? Her own show? Really? She wouldn't be my first choice, but if they are going to pick the less known ones for T.V ,then I am not going to complain.
It just means that maybe someday down the road, someone will actually consider doing a real Suicide Squad show/movie.I would love to see writer John Ostrander's version of the Squad on the screen.
I know it wasn't a popular book, but if you want a good character driven read, then it doesn't get much better than that series.Ostrander's run on the Spectre was just as good too.
I still miss those books. -
For some reason I see them casting Taylor Momsen in the role despite her blonde hair and having never actually seen her act. But she seems to have the emo goth girl act down pat.

Quote:I'm watching a show about a guy who can bounce bullets off his chest, bench press a Mack truck full of pig iron without breaking a sweat, move so fast bullets seem to hang motionless in mid-air, has x-ray vision, fires heat beams from his eyes, and can fly. Oddly enough, I don't sweat little things like how or why a piece of technology from an advanced alien civilization works. Those are your questions when there is a device made by the Kryptonians that lets you switch places with your double from another dimension by a twist of a crystal?
Yeah, how does *that* work? Why does that work? Who would have invented such a thing in the first place and for what purpose? And why is it on earth?
It would have been more reasonable if a wizard did it.
I see this episode as basically setting up Lionel as the evil archnemesis Luthor since they can't get the actor who played Lex back (though they set up the storyline so that they could if he relented). They couldn't bring back the original Lionel since he was always half-repenting.
As for who would invent such a thing or why, that should be obvious. To see what's on the other side. Having determined the existence of a multiverse, there would be plenty of people who'd want to check the other realities out if only to find the one in which Christina Hendricks is their love slave.
Why is it on Earth? Perhaps Jor-El sent it along on the assumption that if one got made in this reality then one got made in another and consequently Clark might one day need the ability to cross between realities.
Perhaps they brought back Lionel because Lex has made a deal with Darkseid to become king of Australia. -
Ah, The Adventures of Emo Goth Girl! Coming soon to a CW near you!

Would Lionel be in a grave or would he be in a crypt in a mausoleum?
To add to the plot holes, how did three normal humans survive more than a few seconds against a Kryptonian that wanted to kill them? Especially one who's well aware that people who know what he is have ways of taking away his powers. Evil Clark might like to toy with his prey before killing them but would he really let Tess and the others live long enough to pull out the kryptonite? -
Are they still talking about Sean Penn to play Larry?

I've been using T-Mobile's pay as you go prepaid since Hurricane Ike. A 1 year refill is $100 for 1000 minutes which is far more than I actually use. You can get a 90 day refill for $10 which gives you 30 minutes of time which sounds like it might suit your needs.

Well, if Ellie had the Intersect with Orion's files, what was the device that Chuck's mom used on him? I suppose it would have made sense for his father to create a "weapon" to disable Intersects given that he knew the bad guys were working on one too.

Another good episode. I'm really liking Ilsa Pucci but Ames is kind of annoying.

It reminds me of the Stargate SG-1 episode Window of Opportunity. Or the Supernatural episode Mystery Spot.
