  1. Storm/Ice with Freezing Rain / Ice Storm >> SS/FA

    My Fire/Cold corr is tearing up mobs faster than statesman on FS.

    EDIT: For some reason Sleet is doing higher DoT than Rain of Fire. I thought it was the -resist that's raising the DoT. But even if I use RoF right after sleet, it still does less DoT than Sleet. A little intriguing.
    P.S: Yes. -resist does seem to raise the DoT. With Heatloss I'm getting about 25 ticks of damage with SLeet rather than 17. And 20 with RoF rather than 13.
    I wonder how the Musculature Alpha affects that. I don't have a toon with both a rain power and musculature to test ATM.

  4. Now that we can finally "use" the Jet Pack on the iTrials. The temp powers in their entirety are borked. Every now and then, they will randomly ALL get greyed out. And then after about a minute or so they'll re-enable themselves again (well, the ones that we're supposed to be able to use anyways).

    I've actually been randomly getting this bug lately as well. Most noticeable when I use Fire Sword Circle on both my scrapper and blaster.

    Heh...sadly, I guess you're right.

    I thought of something yesterday actually. Either make it so that one's temporary powers are seeable in the "Info" screen so we can check who has them and who doesn't. Or the easier (for us players, harder for the devs, lol) solution would be to have some sort of buff-like icon appear in the player's buff bar in the team/league window to show who got what temp powers. Being called out may not make them use it, but at least it will allow to "one-star-then-kick-and-place-on-gignore".

  8. I have to agree. The damage proc in Rain powers as it stands is overpowered. My Fire/Cold corruptor with two rain powers (Sleet, Rain of Fire) that come up every 15 seconds will be able to fully decimate spawns as they come on her own (and now that I think about it, I can also move in melee range in the spawn and let World of Confusion do even more damage ticks as well). Without having to use any other power in her arsenal except maybe the occasional Blaze to finish off a boss faster. My Blaster with Rain of Fire, Blazing Aura, and Hotfeet will be an absolute wrecking machine even more than he is now...and he's able to decimate +4 mobs in 2 attacks as is (bosses take a couple more I guess). My Crab with 6 pets will have more AoE damage than any other toon I have...that's not counting when I get the Lore Pets. Same goes for Master Minds' pets as well.
    The Ice Blast Nuke (Blizzard) will be total lulz with that proc as well.

    In all honesty I thought that the fact that the damage proc didn't work with pets and pseudo pets was WAI, because it's overpowered otherwise. I was surprised to see that in the patch notes.

    EDIT: Well, thinking a little bit more about it. At least one plus side to that is that it will make Ice Storm actually worth taking again >.>
  9. In all honesty I think the perfect way to remedy the bit about Lambda trials and the temp acid powers is to make it literally explode and kill the user after 30 seconds of the first gate being taken down. That is the only way "those" people will actually start using them.

    This, a thousand times this. Maybe people's utter ignorance will be somehow less obvious if they do this.
  11. I think this happens because the Fulcrum Shift/Siphon Power powers summon pseudo pets that do the buff/debuff. And those buff/debuff are auto powers of said pseudo pets that they are hidden when you enable that option. At least, that's how I personally interpret it.

    Typically running Muscles, Clarion, Diamagnetic. The latter 2 plus my high defense make me incredibly difficult to kill, which makes me rather happy.
    I'm starting to think within the same way. I'm not sure now if the 8 seconds downtime on HeatLoss are worth dedicating my entire Alpha just for that. My blue bar will be fine without heatloss for that time (much longer actually but that's beside the point).

    I don't necessarily like putting Apoc set in Fireblast rather than Blaze, but that's personal taste. That said, have you considered swapping out the Dam/Rech for the pure Damage one? You only lose 0.1 seconds off your recharge but gain 5 more points of damage to your base damage (ie, not counting the procs).
    No Kismet unique is a big note for me. But then again if you're hitting consistently that doesn't really matter.
    Have you considered swapping the sets between Arctic Fog and Ice Shield? That'll allow you to swap out the Cytos for just regular Def/End (LotG/Red Fortune) and give you slightly higher Def and End management on Arctic Fog.

    All that said. Very nice build. Very sturdy, pretty good DPS, and very survivable overall.


    Here's my build, to be fair. It's no where near as sturdy as yours though , lol (But was still enough to solo a lot of AVs (Not Malaise or Mother Mayhem though -.- and Paladin, Babbage, and Jurrasic GMs). But, having a resist based epic helps a lot in absence of high defences. I don't have the PvP procs or the Glad Armor unique in the build, though I"m very much considering adding it to the build not because I want more out of it. To quote you "Here's my build.     P.S: I know Frostwork is a mistake. That's going off for Assault when I make up my mind on how to respec her.

    I love Confuse/Deceive. The animation always creeps me out and the power itself is just lots of fun, especially with the contagious confusion proc.

    Ice Slick..it's just fun.

    Knock Out Blow, the old animation. Just looks cool.

    X-Ray beam. LASER EYE BEAMS DUDE

    Fire Sword Circle: Too much damage, and the sound effect is just perfect since most of the minions drop dead after it anyways.

    Photon Torpedo: For reasons mentioned before.

    Energy Melee: All of it really. Something about the glowing pom poms of doom.

    Nova: The only end-crashing nuke I love.

    Hail of Bullets: Just looks so damn cool.

    The animation time isn't that bad, but the debuff is definitely worth it. Just keep in mind that Sleet/Freezing Rain are bugged and the debuff will only last 15 seconds if the target doesn't get out of the rain range within 15 seconds. And since the Pylon is stationary it will never be doing that, lol. So Sleet Debuff will need to be cast every 15 seconds to keep the debuff up.

    Your build has perma Heatloss and Benumb? If so, I would really like to take a look if possible. Because mine even with 106.3% Global Recharge, or 176.3% with Hasten (which is perma), I was not able to achieve perma Heatloss/Benumb without using the T4 Spiritual Alpha. Benumb was 3.3 Second off perma and Heatloss is like 8 seconds off without the Spiritual.
    Benumb has 83.3% Recharge in it, and Heatloss has 91.7% Recharge. Adding another pure recharge IO to Benumb only cuts less than half a second of the recharge, and Heatloss loses on like 2.3 seconds off.P
    P.S: My build has 33% Ranged defence and 20% to everything else, BTW.

    Yeah, you will. The required period for the Vanguard pack was Feb 14th till April 18th.

    UPdate on the matter: Eye of the Magus is no longer working on my Emp/Dark 'fender, my Fire/SD scrap, my EM/Nin stalker, my SS/SD brute, or my Crab....it does work on my Fire/Fire blaster though.....

    This is extremely frustrating. Eye of the magus is the biggest damn pain in the butt to get accolade.

    This has always been a wish of mine. I've frequently solo'd or duo'd TFs even before all this Incarnate stuff came out, and it has ALWAYS been a hassle (sp?) finding fillers.
  21. This might be a little too obvious but have you tried Verifying all files or running the consistency check from the NCSoft Launcher? Or maybe the new -verify command line for the new launcher?
  22. Bringing this thread back to life since this issue is getting majorly annoying.

    EDIT: I should also note that this issue only happens if I chose "None" when presented with the Helper dialog. I tried selecting the new UI and then reverting to the "old" one from the options, didn't help.
  23. After my Stalker changed alignments from Rogue to Hero, his Demonic Aura-now-change-to-Eye-of-the-Magus is not working. It clicks and recharges normally. But gives me no defence or resistance buffs at all. I already /bugged it in game. Thought I'd bring it up here too.
  24. I used to use a Master card-type prepaid credit card for the time between 2008-2010. I didn't get it from a store though. I issued it through a bank. I could pretty much do everything on the NCSoft store with it. Pay my monthly subscription, buy booster packs, or anything from the online store (character slots, rename tokens, transfer tokens). I'm not sure how you can get that on the other side of the world though, heh.

    Funnily enough, now that I got myself a regular VISA card. My issuer have blocked NCSoft websites from ALL transactions on their cards because of numerous claims of fraud.

    Also, if you can't get yourself one of those cards, using a PayPal account is still as plausible and works in the same way technically. Open up a bank account, and associate it with a new PayPal account. And only deposit whatever amount of money you want in your account to use, just like you would in a prepaid credit card. That would be my advice for a "quick fix" for your situation.

I have Cloud Senses slotted in my Son/Son, but I see a strong point for Lockdown too.

    Here's what it looks like with these changes, plus the one I had above about the Posi proc.
    The Code is not working for me for some reason. But your post pretty much summarizes how I feel about my slotting. I didn't catch the overcap 2.5% recovery thanks for that. And thanks for the math about Sonic Siphon. Will do the changes you suggested. Thanks again
