[QUOTE=TamakiRevolution;2974783]Cancer and Stryker are the Jacob and Edward's of CoX.

It's true, though it's often hard to tell the dreamy, sad one from the dreamy, morose one.
  2. Clogging up AE with crappy farms? Why that'd be like clogging up an interesting thread with rehashed arguments that we've seen over and over again in a million forum threads :P

    TF toon

I second the colds, it puts enemy values in the toilet without the time consumed with ta or traps. Those are both great too but on a good team you'll barely have time for a couple of debuffs per mob. Sonic is nice too if you can stand to level it, and dark is great all around.

Consider pairing with sonic attacks to floor enemy resistance even more.
  4. I don't think I've played my crab since I IO'd my widow. Bane and fortunata builds are on the back burner, but my widow build outperforms any other toon I have on either side down to level 25.
  5. Woops, just saw the ninja run tag
  6. Looks ok. I'd take true grit earlier (6 prolly) and skip the 3 resist in it - a steadfast + defense would be a good idea in it or deflection.

I assume you're going with ninja run since you have no travel selected?

I personally don't care for whirling sword but it's not a bad power. I'd also dump the double accuracies for recharges in the attacks - can put a kismet +6% to hit in one of your toggles pretty cheaply while leveling and dump it when you io later.

Also if you happen to be racking up merits along the way I'd try to get the numina and miracle procs - bs/shield is endurance heavy no matter how many endurance reductions you can fit in and those take the edge off a bit.

Hope this helps, enjoy the toon.
  7. Yeah can't imagine why they'd want to make a temp power and a few costume things to get 10 bucks from half their existing base, especially since they already got their GR cash up front from most players.

I for one hope they wait on GR til it's ready - we've already seen with i17 what happens when they guarantee a release date.
  8. Yeah that mids bug could have been the issue. Of course it would have also had you doing damage in the thousands on everything and capped recharge
  9. Got you to softcap with only the loss of your bonuses from fortunata and a bit of recharge on aim/concentration. Hope it helps.

  10. Thanks all, glad to hear it's not just us. I've noticed the lag prior to patches Klaw mentioned but I don't remember ever having this loadscreen lag.

The lag we've been having is blue/red screen lag, with no change once the mish load screen comes up.

    Hopefully this is temporary.

I borrowed 100mil from another toon and bought one then copied over to test and I can confirm that at least on test you can slot them into defense powers and get the 33% effect in your defense instead of 20% as well as 33% for your endurance.
Oh I thought you were thinking it would enhance your defense debuff resistance, which it won't. Defense, yeah I could see it doing that with the wonky hami logic. Neat trick to remember.
  12. You can slot it there, but since weave gives no defense debuff resistance it won't modify your d.d.r.
  13. The past few days we've been getting random lag and really long mish load times on Triumph. SG base loading is excrutiating.

Are other servers having this problem? Any idea what the cause is?

And before folks start asking about my computer/introwebs, this is a new problem (Wednesday night was my first experience of it) and has been happening to everyone I've talked to.

Nobody said it was reasonable, just doable. That's what we had to spend a zillion pages convincing Castle of.
  15. Actually, just noticed you had foot stomp clicked on which was giving the 100% recharge from force feedback proc as if it were permanent. Still a nice build but no longer the mind blowing numbers it had before. Was wondering how you'd managed that.
  16. That's a really sweet build. All the bases covered.
  17. not sure there's anything you can do about adding more resist, or at least not enough to make a significant difference. so the question usually comes down to defense, recharge, hp/regen or some combination of the three. depends what you're going to use it for.
  18. Just glanced at it for a minute but a couple things.
You've got sets that slot you for a combination of positional and typed defense, but don't give you decent numbers on either. SS/Elec doesn't necessarily need to slot for defense but you don't want to waste slots on 2 different kinds. You also aren't getting very much global recharge.

No reason to 5 slot numina in energize, last 2 don't give you anything you need, i'd try to get more recharge in there - can't afford waiting 50 seconds between heals without higher resistance/defense numbers.

    Hope this helps

It was az and maya, but we weren't on a master run.
  20. I'd reconsider taking build up over follow up. Follow up is generally your first strike to get the to-hit/damage for your subsequent attacks. This is kind of counter-productive for a widow since FU's damage is pretty crappy and you'll want to optimize your first strike from hide for the crit. Build up/Slash is optimal for that.

That said, what to skip is a huge problem for any widow as pretty much everything has its plusses. A lot will depend on what your budget will be at 50. I, for example, didn't take dart burst while leveling but did in my 50 build just to slot Ragnaroks for the recharge - but I saved up and broke the bank to have perma Mind Link at 25. Turns out I really like dart burst, especially when the knockdown proc hits.

I happen to like eviscerate but I could see skipping it. Poison dart is good damage and good to have for the -regen. Only downside is the animation seems to break your attack chain a bit, even though it's only 1.5.

Elude is good for leveling but can be easily skipped in a final build, unless you're doing a pvp build. I have tactics, assault and vengeance but that's personal preference. Best advice I can really give is to try different things leveling up. With the freespec we just got, patron and the forced respec at 24, you can try out pretty much everything you want and still have a respec for your final build.

One final word of advice - frankenslot Mind Link for recharge as soon as you can.

2 mind perma doms is enough. We ran it in 37 mins a couple weeks ago.
  22. In game - go to menu, click help, scroll over to 'Nav' and click. That will bring up a sub-menu. Click 'zone difficulty levels'.
  23. OWTS is nice if you have the room - the crash isn't a full crash and you get a nice recovery bonus while it's up. I really like it during leveling as shields can be pretty squishy til you can io them. It's especially useful if your attack power is too endurance heavy to afford tough/weave before io's.
  24. Oh also miki i said 'mantis' not manti. manti's fine for a plow
