Just glanced at it for a minute but a couple things.
You've got sets that slot you for a combination of positional and typed defense, but don't give you decent numbers on either. SS/Elec doesn't necessarily need to slot for defense but you don't want to waste slots on 2 different kinds. You also aren't getting very much global recharge.

No reason to 5 slot numina in energize, last 2 don't give you anything you need, i'd try to get more recharge in there - can't afford waiting 50 seconds between heals without higher resistance/defense numbers.

Hope this helps

Ahh so work on just resists and global recharge...mmm let me work more

Posted

not sure there's anything you can do about adding more resist, or at least not enough to make a significant difference. so the question usually comes down to defense, recharge, hp/regen or some combination of the three. depends what you're going to use it for.

This is easier to just show you my build...check it out.
Hitting at least 35 s/l def is a big difference in suvivability. Added the -tohit from dark obliteration and aoe goodness is great. HP on this one is good too

That's a really sweet build. All the bases covered.

Actually, just noticed you had foot stomp clicked on which was giving the 100% recharge from force feedback proc as if it were permanent. Still a nice build but no longer the mind blowing numbers it had before. Was wondering how you'd managed that.

I like that build....mmm...guess IM used to capping things on my old stoner LOL

A full set of obliteration in Lightning Field is not such good idea: it has poor endurance reduction and prevents any End Mod from being socketed. This is doubly damaging with an under-socketed Power Sink. Endurance drain is integral to ELA's survivability.

Just my opinion, but I do have a lot of experience with ELA.

In my experience with Super Strength/Electric Armor, SO'd, IO'd or Purpled, endurance reduction is not an integral part of the defense. Mitigation from the Primary was most effective and allowed a player to do marvelous things.

Slotting a full set of Obliteration in Lightning Field may be problematic if you are having endurance issues. If you slot your attacks with decent endurance reduction and have Power Sink and Energize often you should have no endurance issues. If you are having endurance problems you may wish to change the slotting in Lightning Field.

I suggest slotting towards +HP, Regeneration and Recharge. Accolades, especially Demonic Aura, are incredibly helpful. Cunning use of inspirations also can put you into silly good mode.

My SS/Elec is built without budget constraints and can be seen here. You might be able to steal some ideas. It puts up some decent #s: RWZ Challenge before Rage crashed, 44 enemies defeated per minute when trying for purples and 500k Inf per minute when trying for Inf drops. I think that's a good sign.

Oblits are used for the bonuses. The chance for smashing is nice. The end drain is not even a problem with powersink/energize, all it takes is 2 enemies to fill blue bar.

Nice build Smurphy, mines for those with budget contraints but does very well in-game. its one small purple ins away from 45 s/l def

Does anyone have any I19 updates? And what's a good farming mission?

Posted

What happened in I19(and 19.5) is that some builds that focused on recharge don't need to anymore. We can focus on other things such as defense.

Here's the build I'm aiming for on my SS/Elec(about 5 bil away from done...), designed around the spiritual alpha.

Looks pretty sweet Auroxis... I think i'd swap Hasten and Combat Jumping. I prefer SJ as my travel power even though I'll lose the Grounded benefits while bounding around the city.

I noticed there is no Fear or Confuse resistances... I guess that's not too bad of a lose for PvE!

Any good farming missions (non AE) for a Elec Armor Brute? Blue or Red side??

I don't farm with him so I wouldn't know, but I haven't had too much trouble doing normal content with him. I was soloing Arachnos x8 w/ bosses at lvl 35, and fully IO'd I can solo the cimerora towers in the ITF.

I'm still built for +HP and +Recharge. I agree with pretty much everything Smurphy said earlier, Footstomp provides a pretty big chunk of mitigation. I mostly just use him as a tauntbot.

You should still build for HP, the build I posted has a ton of +HP and +Regen. It shouldn't be your main focus though, as Defense is much easier to fit in your build and it provides more mitigation. And like I said, with the spiritual alpha you don't need that much recharge from set bonuses anymore.
