tweaked.
Stamina and Stealth removed. Recall and superspeed added.
When is this starting? -
For this character, I will be taking a travel power late in the build if at all. I would rather pick up RI at 4 and AM at 6, so that there is some debuffage. I am iffy on how to combat invis. Superspeed + stealth proc? Stealth + stealth proc in sprint or stealth and superspeed. I am leaning toward Stealth and Sprint so that I can fit recall in there. I plan on using my own SG, since I am solo, I need every drop of prestige that I can get.
Anyway, I made a quick template of what I am thinking build wise:

That's going to make for one tight build, so I will probably take him to 36 before parking so that I can get the 3 additional slots -
see it's things like this post that I do not understand
Quote:How is that any different from the ability to gain well more than 1000 AE tickets in under an hour, doing a few random rolls, selling the drops, going back in and doing it over? To be honest with you, I have been doing rather well with random rolls lately. They have made me pretty wealthy, all solo, sometimes AFK. I'm sure that I am not alone. When enough people need it, my Coalition sets up Doctor Q with one person dual-boxing, and the dual-boxed leader sitting at the contact so that we can go straight from one mission to the next. 3 hours to complete is pretty much normal.
If the OP can't see anything broken about 6 people each getting 222 merits, and a seventh getting 444 in 3 hours, then I really don't know what else to say.
Both forms of currency can be used to obtain the same rewards. In some cases AE tickets are more useful (arcane salvage is still off the charts and you can buy what you want for about 540 tickets as opposed to 20 merits on a random from the merit vendor).
And once again let's consider the red side. There is absolutely no way for any one character to get Dr. Q/ Positron type merits anyway, so the system is already broken. Really, what will 222 merits get you at a Merit vendor? Most of the "good stuff" costs more than 200, so you could one maybe get two IO's. Big whoop. Even that magical 444 is not going to get you a set of anything worthwhile.
Aren't people running more SF's and TF's on double XP weekends anyway? Why not give a merit boost on occasion. I'm sure that I am missing something because I cannot see how it is a bad idea. Help me to understand. -
Rad Iculous has been re-created as a Corruptor. I am willing to participate on the Blue side with this too if there is enough interest.

Quote:This is what I do anyway (With the exception of getting into range)
Double merits means an overwhelming majority of players would be doing TFs and nothing but TFs.
I like the Idea.

I'm game, you know how I love my /Rads.

I should be there in one form or another

You will be missed. I hope things work out for you.

Quote:Can we get this fixed? Pretty please? This technician has been buggy since I have started playing. Here is the bug:
In the first mission of the LRSF, you have to free the technician and lead him to a computer. He spawns in one of three locations: tower 1, tower 2, and the lab. Each time he goes through a door or down an elevator, he has a chance of doing one of the following:
a) doing the 'cheer' animation as if he is stuck on a longbow group, even if there are no longbow around. He'll just stand in place and refuse to follow you.
b) vanishing
c) this one only applies to going down the elevator. He will often run off the map once he is down the elevator, only to appear at the top of the elevator, and then repeat the loop. Sometimes he will reappear and you can continue, but sometimes he will just continue this loop forever
What this means is that the more doors/elevators he has to go through, the more chance he has of bugging out. This is why many teams simply reset the mission until he is in the lab (where all he has to go through is 1 elevator). There is also the known issue that stealth sometimes causes him to lose track of players, but that's not a big deal since you can just shut off stealth powers.
I'm not sure what the best solution is to this problem is, but here are some thoughts:
1. You could have him spawn on the bottom floor of the lab, so he doesn't have to go through any doors or elevators.
2. You could somehow fix the vanishing/looping/cheering bugs. I suspect this would be difficult, but don't know really.
I wish.
This guy has been bugged since the SF was introduced. At least we have a map marker for him now. The only "fixing" on the RSF has been merit wise. I don't think that the RSF tech is even on their radar any longer. -
Remember the number three for the final mission.
Three Ambushes, three directions, three times. People tend to think that the ambushes are endless, they are not, there are just a lot of them. With patience, you can wipe them all out. If for some reason you happen to wipe, everyone should hosp and meet back at the door, the ambushes will go there. -
While creating a new AR Blaster, I noticed that the AR animations are gone in the "powers" screen. The character holds the gun in the ready position and just twitches.

Quote:nope. I'll just take care of it.Pretty sure BAB has said it in jest, just like GG
Lighten up. "Devs hate ________" (usually "villains", but occasionally it changes as appropriate) is a board meme. Live with it.
Quote:Devs hate Vega.
>.> -
Quote:That saying had pretty much died around here until the board merger. I would like to see it die again, but you say it every chance that you get.I think you should consider the possibility that my statement might not have been totally 100% serious
You don't like red side, fine. But every Villain related thread does not need "the devs hate villains"
That saying is like herpes, it spreads. -
Quote:Yeah, right after Pushing Jay to release the jet packs that he told us were ready so long ago. This suggestion comes up with great regularity, along with the ability to email inf to other characters. It's pretty regularly shouted down but most other successful games have both features, even NCsoft's own Aion. My guess is that it's somewhere on Positron's massive to-do list, but it might be on page 35.
With the free server transfers, I have been spreading around, it would be really nice if I could drop stuff in a bin on Protector and pick it up on Virtue. I would really hate to pay a quarter billion for a recipe that I have already. -
interesting idea. I think that there should be some sort of change with the flier, but at this point, I am happy that it spawns at all.
Quote:That would be awesome. It would give me a chance to switch too.Actually, as a redside player, it might also be neat to 'preface' the launching of the Arachnos Flyer by having more Arachnoids spawn, a la "Increased Clockwork Activity in Kings Row."
The warning goes out that Arachnoid spawn quantities are approaching dangerous levels, and then "Arachnos Flyer Launched".
Something like that, maybe? -
Quote:Well what do you know, we picked Virtue as a secondary server. Most of us have RSF ready characters there and plan on starting runs there very soon. Should I look you up? Honestly, as a group it has been a very long time since we failed. No Mind doms have been used, and we have used every type of brute that there is. I assure you that it is not easy, but after doing it three to four times a night for a few years, we have have it pretty down pat.All these folks baffled by how could you fail!
I want them to show up one night to my Server(Virtue). Then I want to make them Leaders of PuGs(no friends of theirs, nadda). I'll find people for em, then send them on their merry way.
Odds are they are going fail, plain & simple, trust me, I wont build them a team of Fail, I'll find all proper things, but I WILL NOT, give them a Mind Dom, I shouldn't give em a Stone Brute. We'll see what they can do then.
Cuz Honestly, I have failed LRSF more then I've ever won it. I've never done the MOSF(we came so damn close once, then Statesman who's Acc is floored & our Defense is in its 70s) Somehow manages to pull some crazy super punch of doom & dropped 1 Corr in 1 hit.
So yah, I get kinda of tired of folks belittling folks who are unhappy or have many epic fail attempts at this SF. Obviously it has issues, because so many folks wouldnt bemoan about it, especially since its a lower Merits value then STF(That usually a lulz cake walk)
JJ
There is no way that I am going to PuG that on a new server yet. -
Oh yeah, quick tip on the RSF with MM's
The Assault Bot, Oni, and Arsonist are best left out of the last mission. They tend to make the heroes scatter which makes aggro control more difficult. -
Seriously, If they hated villains then they would hate money. I doubt that is the case, so please drop this stupid devs hate villains crap. It's old, tired, untrue, and makes people think that CoV is second rate, when it is really superior.
And to Quote Back Alley Brawler, they are the same damn game. -
Quote:Moral of the story: It can be hard the first few times. But keep trying, learn the tricks of the encounter, and soon you too will be breezing through it.
This 100 times over
Buffers/Debuffers/Damage/Tanks.
If you can drop a 50 on Protector, I'm sure that I can get a crew together to show you how we do it. -

Quote:They used to be 54 back when we were walking up hill in the snow both ways.Ok, so;
8 man team. Steamrolled everything up to the last mission of the LRSF. Kronos Titan? Floored. Slinger? Floored. Vindicators? Floored.
Last mission.
How is it, that such a well done SF can end on such a...a cheap note? It really is just that. 8 or 9 Heroes, set at perma level 53.
Now, this might just be opinion, but surely there is a difference between 'Challenging' or 'Very Hard' and 'Not actually possible without all 3 Warburg Nukes, Shivans and a specific team make up'?
If this was a random PuG, maybe it wouldn't taste so bitter. Even then, it will still cheapen the whole thing, that the last mission is basically a lolGank fest, that doesnt so much challenge as just push the difficulty through the roof.
But this was a team of some very good palyers, with very tough characters. We did all the right things. And we just got flattened.
At least I understand now why people were so immensley hacked off when the difficulty settings made -1 work for MO runs. Because that isn't challenging, thats just...
Words fail me.
And my inner game designer screams 'Cheap'.
You do not need Nukes at all.
Posi Cheats
Statesman Cheats
Don't confuse or slow Synapse.
We've been doing it since inception, so with my normal team it takes 45 minutes or less, with MO runs taking a little longer (For quite a while it took us a minumum of 2.5 hours for a normal run). I have seen PuG's fail horribly, but the key is to not give up, and kill Numina first if possible.
Our normal team build:
One Brute
Two Corruptors (minimum)
Take your pick on every thing else.
What is it that you want to know? I'll try to help you out.
