Hey folks,

Please post the names of your public chat channels here, along with a short description of what they do.

I've been trying to find a list of these channels and it's been a little difficult, so I was thinking a consolidated thread for this topic would be helpful. Please note that this thread isn't for heated discussion about the quality of the channels, more for info about if a channel is there and being used. I guess I can start with the ones I've read about in the forums, feel free to correct me if I'm messing up the description.

On Upsen, I used to use Teleport before ED, cause of the huge distances you could cover by 6-slotting range, faster than any other power. I use fly currently, cause I always liked it better stylistically.

I also remember the darn thing being really bad with any sort of editing attempts too, with word insertions causing words after the insertion to become all messed up.

The phrase "Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls." is from 2 different sources?
(link in player guides, link in general forum)

Fireplug's post is about the hero who says "Kill Skuls". Spoogey's reply post is about a hero that said. "Go. Hunt."

The two were brought together like chocolate and peanut butter on a lazy friday afternoon inofficially in the forums, by some bored forumites. It turned into a meme that even Statesman used. Later on, the Kill Skuls badge was introduced, and a section added to the Skulls villain group info, officially merging into one phrase, "Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls."

There's a http://www.killskuls.com/ website, and a wiki entry in Paragon wiki as well.

There was also a photoshop thread in which people added "Kill Skuls!" to many pictures. My favorite is this one, which, while work-safe, is pretty high on the gross-out and shock factor: (click to go blind)

I don't know if this rumor is true, but just in case I am informing our members to switch to SG mode.
And as for your concern about colors (which is a concern of many), I posted to simply default to your original character colors. Only the SG symbol appears on the chest then.

I was teamed with Mistress Shaanaa last night, while I was on my Stone tank.

Then we got a bunch of pick up people and had one of those really, reallly bad pug nights where no one listened to anything, you know what I mean... blasters pulling, defenders letting people die left and right, tanks foiling each others' pulls, sigh.

Back from before we had the graphics/effects surpression option in the grapics settings, we would need to reduce the amount of graphics that displayed, cause often the effects would overload the graphics cards.

However it is still useful today, since it defines easily who is what AT, at a glance, by colour. However I'm pretty sure that this guide has not been followed since 2005 started.

Too many people were going to the raids without uniforms, and the amount of ridiculing the people that did go to the raids with uniforms received, made the whole concept collapse.

It still bugs me to this day that people can't co-operate on this level for a difficult task.

By the way, this sort of thing is why the system is no longer working, and why I no longer actively encourage it.

I'll revise and add to it as the community requests, but I have little or no faith in people willing to adhere to any sort of structured behaviour on Champion, based on my personal experience in the matter.

I just did a quick test. All the villains were the same distance away when I Wormholed them, and the exit point was the same distance away from me (pulled them from out of aggro range to a couple of feet away from me). These were all Nemesis minions and Lts. No other powers were used beforehand.

vs one even con: Knockback

vs two even cons: Knockback

vs a group of 9 -3s: no Knockback, just Knockdown.

vs the same group of -3s after killing four jaegers, leaving 5 targets: Knockback with a lot of scatter. These didn't Knockback in the same direction, it was more of an arc so they ended up farther away from each other than they started.

Your guess is as good as mine as to what's going on here. The only thing that seemed to affect the Knockback was against the one large group of villians. Didn't have time to do more testing, and more is definitely needed. I'm still very unhappy with the Wormhole change, enough so that it's likely I'll be retiring this character.

That's pretty messed up. It should be more consistent. higher level = bigger knockback doesn't go in line with any other power that I can think of...

Regarding my experience, I was in Kings Row with my L50 Controller, and using Wormhole on L7-8 Skulls. Many batches of Skulls in different groups, sized 2 to 8 members, sometimes wormholing the same group up to 3 times.

I was expecting them to go flying everywhere.
