    I'd note how easy it would have been for Positron to strengthen his position simply by *listing* the low costs of these items to refute Lektrik's suspicions, but that wasn't done here.

    Conclusion - the costs really will be in that ballpark, even Posi couldn't make the claim of "reasonably priced" with a straight-enuf face to avoid putting it in quotes. Kinda like back when the 4th SO's drop-off was described as "moderate"

    My main CoH hero lacks the Isolator badge and I simply don't care, not enough of a rabid badge collector to get worked up over this. If Isolator is never made available to my main I won't lose any sleep over it. But... if the powers that be decide to make it obtainable for those characters rolled before badges were introduced in the game, what in the world is the rationale for making it "irritatingly hard" to acquire?

    I suspect the reason is nothing else but spite, Positron's way at getting even for all those folks who requested this. Another big win for Customer Service there, Pos.

    Unfortunately, trick arrow is not going to become a balanced set simply by tweaking some numerical values. The overall manner in which the set works needs to be revisited.

    "Revisiting" is a poor option when it was supposedly under ongoing monitoring as a new powerset. Please, in the future take the time to balance powersets *as released* before moving on to other powersets (possibly unbalanced themselves). Fix these old problems!

    The ease-of-life of the devs needs to come secondary to customer service. Devs should keep up with the badges some other way while making them display to us in a orderly fashion.

    That this even needs to be said kinda surprises me.
  11. Recently took Whirlwind on a villain as a "theme" power, the knockback didn't even register. Its been a *long* time since I'd had a character with Whirlwind, and even then it was on Test for just long enuf to realize it wasn't too great of a choice Don't team regularly with anyone else who has it. I remember it being Knock Up now that its mentioned, guess I should be annoyed? Eh, personally the knock up effect looked goofy to me, I like the scattering effect moreso.

    Still, missing patch notes is a Bad Thing and once again looks like an attempt at sneaking a nerf by everyone. This is not acceptable, devs. Get your change tracking processes down to a fine science before something really big comes along and bites you.

  13. Hmm... not a big 'Clix fan so I only scanned over that content, but there were 7 figures in the set. Dunno if I have any instances of doubling-up on one and missing another, will hafta check tonite. Pretty sure I remember seeing Ghost Widow, tho.

    For all of you who are missing figures, I hope this problem is corrected without too much pain to the consumer...

    I've seen this argument made multiple times now and I honestly don't understand where its coming from. SR is currently *flavorless*. Its just bald game mechanics, +DEF posing as a powerset. Dark Armor is flavor. Ninjitsu is flavor. "Nothing but DEF" is not flavor.

    Don't get me wrong, I like SR but its currently a *theme* set which is a different thing than flavor. While it would be nice to keep SR all-DEF (and return Invuln to mostly-RES), such focused sets are easier to min/max and abuse. I think we'll see more and more of defensive sets being combination def/res/healing damage mitigators and less of this "very good at one single thing".

    Which, in essence, means next to nothing specifically for that reason: you can duplicate the Archery advantage by putting one extra accuracy DO in your attack powers.

    Which, I will point out, nobody does, and I've seen the numbers to show why: once you get to where you can use SO's, the optimum damage per minute happens with only one accuracy SO in your attack powers. A second accuracy enhancement is wasted.

    I'm kinda surprised at the large turnout so far, I show as of 9:45am EST there are 430 entries! I'm still collecting screenshots and displaying them in the contest gallery as listed in my sig, if you're interested in quickly looking thru all the submitted heroes its probably quicker than working your way thru this thread.

    Call for Models

    I'm in the process of copying each of the entries into a website gallery for easy viewing, you can see the results at my CoH Female Model Contest page. I've taken the first pic from each entry, if you had multiple pics sorry I couldn't post them all.

    I've just finished copying over the first 4 pages, still have 5 pages to go (I show more posts per page than the default setting). Will work on getting it current and keeping it updated.

    EDIT: up-to-date with all current entries, 225 contestants so far!
