Congrats on a successful run. I really hope I can make the next one.

After that awesome league this Saturday, the only badges I'm missing from the old trials are Strong & Pretty and Keep Em Separated.

If your graphics are set too low you will not see the slow fields.
When you adjusted you settings back down, did the game redrawn the base? If it did not that's why you were still seeing the fields. -
Sign me up.
Note: I haven't actually run TPN before, anything I should know/prepare? -
Quote:I don't turn them off because I learned from a post by Samuel_Tow that even if they don't display, the invisible window they're in still exists and will annoying come to the fore front and block other things you might have placed in that area.
Argh! So that's what causes that.
At least I know now. -
Just wanted to add my thanks to Amy for putting these runs together.
And thanks to all who ran last night, that MoKeys league was a well oiled machine. -
-
I should be able to make this. Haven't run DD yet, looking forward to seeing it.

Congratulations to both
@Captain Flashstorm for Koliada (Controller 50)
and
@Force Majeure for Ms. Mapleleaf (Tank 50) -

Quote:Back when we used to play Champions regularly, I reached the point where I could calculate the most commonly used fraction in my head - and I am hardly a math whiz. Fun with math indeed!*Edit=Note* FWIW, You're gonna NEED pencil and paper for this & preferably a calculator that easily handles fractions - that helps a TON! That without a doubt was the most "fun with math" I've ever had!
But despite nostalgia I wouldn't advocate using Hero these days. In trying to have a crunchy answer for all occasions the rules have become too massive. The learning curve is just too steep for new players.
In the last few years, I've become enamored of the FATE system and its narrative focus. So I would advocate using Strange FATE, the FATE variant created for The Kerberos Club (FATE Edition). -

I'm torn. I like the dynamic action of #2, but #1 shows off the characters better. If I must choose, I guess I'll have to vote #1.
Although why not have both and let folks choose, like we do with the hero/villain skins? -

Quote:Tyger, did you exit and restart CoH? Reboot your PC? Have any of your graphics settings changed?I am not sure if this belongs here or in the Bugs/Technical section, but I thought if anyone else was encountering this, it would be the base folks.
I just registered a personal SG about an hour ago. Traded in a tonne of Inf to get some startup prestige (I have more Inf than sense) and went to the portal in Atlas to access my base for the first time (yes, I have purchased the permit from the SG Registrar) and when I start to port to the base, I hard crash - game completely locks up and I have to use Task Manager to close it out.
Anyone else having this issue?
EDIT: Just double checked my older characters with existing bases, and the same thing happens. I get the "Map Loading" message, then the load screen comes up, and the progress bar freezes about 5% in, then the game locks up. -
Assuming I can make the next run, I have both Snipe and LRM. But that makes for a really slow and boring way to get the badge (as I recall that's how we did it on my first MoUGT run).
We were doing quite well until the very end using Amy's preferred method. I'm not sure what went wrong there, but I'd say its worth trying again. -
I'm free that night and will bring some ranged damage. Still need Avatar Assassin myself, maybe we'll get lucky.

Quote:Bravo! Well said sir. That's what makes a hero a Hero. They see all people as 'us' and even the villains as wayward 'us' who need not only to have their evil acts stopped, but redemption. That's why if a villain is about to be killed by their own evil machinations, the hero will even save that villain.

Also now that you're 14 be sure to get an Oroboros portal.

Quote:Thanks! I had completely missed that these improvements had been made.
Other than the addition of using shift/alt/ctrl with the mouse in the base editor to control position/orientation of objects, and the hacked/magicked 'pads, was anything else about bases changed in the last 2-3 issues? I haven't seen any new decorative items, and AFAICT the existing ones haven't been given "undies".
I admit I haven't been reading *all* of the release notes for each issue.
Off my head the only other change I can recall is that the salvage bins now sort alphabetically. -
-
I've never experienced it personally, but I've heard of other people having that issue.
