    Halloween Mobs

    Werewolves...

    GAWD they hit hard!

The GF and I were running a pair of DP Blasters (mid teens; DP/MM for her; DP/Devices for me) in Steel and Skyway on Justice last night. We could deal with almost anything that came out (Even +1 Bosses), but have two Werewolves blitz out the door... Hello Hospital!

Now's here's the wierd thing, Halloween Salvage.
I think the GF & I did about 2 & 1/2 hours of ToTing w/the pair mentioned above (XP off and was doing it for the Salvage mainly...). In that time frame, we got enough Salvage to have at least 10 full sets between the two of us. Does that seem right or did the Drop rate get tweaked a little?

    Thank you for the time...
  2. From what I saw, not too bad.

Only thing that bugs me though is why in the world would you put a micronized, full-sized prison on the S.H.I.E.L.D. heli-carrier? You just know you're asking for trouble...

Gonna have to rewatch the repeats (Just got to love the DVR) 'cause I missed the back half of #1 and the front of #2. Now I'm just gonna wonder about how Black Panther, Cap, and Hawkeye get into the group.

    Thank you for the time...

Like GG mentioned, It was from the NYCC CoH Panel.

Discussed in this thread and this thread.

    Thank you for the time...
  4. So let me get this right:

    5 Capes
10 Auras (Technically 20 if you count Always-on and Combat separate Auras)
All available starting at Character Creation and for all pre-20 (Capes) or pre-30 (Auras) existing Characters.

    For $10 US?

I'd say that it's a reasonable offer. If it was just that they unlocked normally, then I'd say no. I would then say this pack would then be worth between $6 - $8 US to me.

It is worth noting that while I do plan on purchasing this pack, it's not without reservations. I think the overall value, per Booster/Pack, has been falling off over the last three (GRCC, Party, Origin). I believe the real issue isn't the Quality (save the Stealth power in the GRCC), but what the overall value given.

Generally, what the playerbase expects for a $10 US Booster/Pack has been:
    • One to Two Costume Sets (Full or Partial) for all three body types
    • Several Emotes
    • Some novel power or similar ability

Now with the GRCC Pack, we got most of that, save a rather crappy temp power, for less than usual (about $7 US, IIRC...) Booster/Pack cost. It's not bad, but I hope that Marketing doesn't consider that the new base line.
I have expressed my displeasure with the Value of the Party Pack in several of the official and non-official threads. I don't feel I need to bring it up again here. That said, while the quality of the emotes is wonderful, I can not see myself purchasing this particular Pack ever.
Now with the Origin Pack, we have a quandary. This Pack doesn't fit under the usual item amounts of a typical pack. So how to measure it's value? What we are getting is:
    • Three to Four more Capes than usual
    • Six to Eight more (or more depending on how you count) Auras than have been featured in a Booster/Pack before.
    • No actual Costume parts, save for the Capes and Auras
    • All items in the Pack available to all Characters on the Account at Character Creation or without being the minimum Level and running the required mission Arcs.

It's the last item that brings up the overall Value of this Pack, to me. The majority of my Characters that would use the Auras are mainly 25 or lower. As I have a nasty case of Altitis, I'd say that using some of these Auras on those characters is gonna be a nice thing.

I just worry as to what the future of the Booster/Pack givings are going to be. I think a better balance of what gets put into a Booster/Pack and what is delivered in a Issue release might want to be looked at in better detail.

    Thank you for the time...
  5. I'll agree the lack of a price for this pack is a bit worrisome. I can see this easily going for $8 US, no problem. I'm not 100% sure it's worth $10 US.

Will I be buying this pack, regardless of price? I believe so. I have a number of characters that the auras alone would be useful for. The capes are not as useful, to me personally, but they do look very nice.

I'm guessing Marketing is afraid of another Party Pack blow up here.

EDIT: Having seen Ocho's reply now take's my perceived value of the pack to the $10 US. I will be purchasing this pack for sure.

    Thank you for the time...

  7. Well it's nice that the 260 worked for you.
For me, I had to roll back to the 257 drivers again!

  8. Sorry for the OT post, but between the thread title and OP...

This song got stuck in my head again.

And as a side note, what is it w/players being baited by GG and her views on Praetoria? Sheesh...

And now back to the Derailed discussion.

    Thank you for the time...
  9. Would I watch a Indy film w/out Indy as the main character (or even involved, story wise)?

    Not a chance in hell.

Crystal Skull was ok. I'm not 100% sure it should of been made in the first place. I just don't feel a Indy 5 is a viable film option now.

    Thank you for the time...
  10. Interesting...

    Might actually be worth seeing.

    Thank you for the time...

As I mentioned in my post earlier in the thread, I did get the usual three Tips and mission set all three. It was after that I was doing a little more ToTing (W/costume power) and got the Halloween Tip.
Combat log shows it awarded just like any other Tip.

I just was surprised I got it like that.

Here is a thread about the Costume contact in Preatoria. Also her entry @paragonwiki...

    Otherwise...
Slid onto Test for a little bit.
Got three regular tips while ToTing for about 20 minutes in Bricks w/a Lvl 35 Scrapper. Mission set all three Tips, did a little more ToTing and lo and behold I got the Halloween Tip as well.

Ran the mission. Overall it played out reasonably well. I found the CoT/Prea Underground appearance quite interesting. Disappointed the reward menu is broke ATM though.
Did notice something odd, though: Upon exiting out of the mission, I checked my Tip Contact window and noticed the Halloween Tip still showing. Clicked on 'Investigate' and managed to get the Halloween Tip mission again. Is this WAI?

    Thank you for the time...

Missed one more from Monday and a bit different update today...

Micro-Ep #20 is up. "The Big House"
Continues from the Wasp/Ant-Man ep (#13). We've seen the Vault and the Cube. now we see The Big House. Plus I think there's a potential to see a mix with some stuff in Wolverine & the X-Men. Oh, Fury tries to give Ant-man & Wasp a offer they can't refuse.
There was more stuff in this one than a lot of the other Micro-Eps so far. It's gonna be interesting starting 10/20 for sure.

The other snipet is a brief thing with the VA for Thor.
Now I haven't really bothered to see what the OP is for this series, but looks like Black Panther is gonna be a main cast character. Didn't expect that. Look at 1:08.

    Thank you for the time...

    Hub

Oh, The Hub is gonna be interesting.
Did not realize "The 99" was gonna air there.

From what I looked at last night, the "Batman" listing is the Adam West 60's series. Also Fraggle Rock (Middays), G.I. Joe (80's)(latenight), and a mix of 80s & 90s sitcoms (evening) are apart of their current programming block.

This is the network that's gonna carry the new Transformers and G.I. Joe animated series in late '10/early '11. Considering Hasbro is a co-owner of this network (Shocker, Shocker)...

    Thank you for the time...
  16. Oh now this is interesting...

Looks like I missed a couple that got put up on the 11th.

    Micro-Ep #18 and Micro-Ep #19 are up as well.

#18 - "Lo, There Shall Come a Conqueror"
Kang's Reality is getting messed up and it's somehow Cap's fault? Oh Joy...

    #19 - "Beware the Widow's Bite!"
Continuation of the Hulk Arc. All I wonder is: Is Black Widow going Double or Triple Agenting?

    Thank you for the time...
  17. Here we go again...

Micro-Ep #17 is up. "Welcome to Wakanda"
The Fall and the Rise of the Black Panther. Plus we see Klaw again, properly "armed".

    Thank you for the time...

    Thank you for the time...
  19. Oh yes...

This would be a series I would want as well.

    Thank you for the time...

Oh you mean what been discussed in this thread in the GR forum? It's not really a "She moves around!" issue, per say. It is more a "She's not supposed to be here yet, but she is anyways..." kind of thing.

There is also a page on her @paragonwiki.

    Thank you for the time...
  21. Ohh Boy...

    Micro-Ep #16 is up. Cap Part #3...
Red Skull's plans are kaput and the usual set up for Cap's Deep Sleep are shown.
I like Kang's line, "Not where. When."
This is gonna be a fun series for sure. All I hope now is all these micro-eps are included in the season brick.

    Thank you for the time...
  22. Umm... Everyone...

There's a thread discussing this in CHVC.

    Thank you for the time...
  23. Here we go...

    Micro-Ep #15 is up. Cap Part #2.
Cap & Bucky get caught by Hydra. The Red Skull also monologues for a bit.
And what The Red Skull plans... isn't pretty...

    Thank you for the time...
  24. Oh, this is a fun one...

Micro-Ep #14 is up. Captain America's Spotlight begins...

Hydra have replaced the Nazis as the Evil in WW II.
Let us join Kang as he watches Cap in action...

EDIT: Darn it. I know I should wait 'till I watch the whole thing before I post.
We have Howling Commandos and, I think, a Logan sighting in the action to boot.
This is getting better and better...

    Thank you for the time...

    Otherwise...

The alternate animations might be a nice addition.
Not sure if linking the trams/Ferries altogether is a good idea though. Just got to wonder if the Striga/PI Ferries will be merged as well?

And from a couple of pics on the overview page, it looks like Ouroboros has seen better days. Interesting indeed...

    Thank you for the time...
