For now. I saw Lynx-O in the pilot so Pumyra can't be far away.

I saw it and I'm impressed so far. It was only the pilot but the standard is there and I will be looking forward to the series as it develops.
  2. To the OP: nice idea as long as it was tied to the player as a lingering total but doubt it will ever happen.

As for the Top 100 SG List: anyone heard of Halomaps.org?

It had a top 10 downloads section which seemed like a good idea at first but as the years went on all I could see was the list becoming homogonised. Halo CE was obviously the highest download with the necessary patch fixes coming behind as well as the HEK development kit.

Over time: lost of people downloaded specific maps because they were considered 'best' but that meant they took a spot in the Top 10. As new visitors came to the site, they downloaded the Top 10 as a necessity which bumped the Top 10 numbers up to a ludicrously high level meaning newer, less publicised maps didn't have much of a chance to catch up unless they suddenly hit the holy grail of awesome or pimped themselves stupid (bit like MA over here ). I mentioned it to Dennis, the site OP as well as casually mentioning a 'per month/week' and later he added a 'featured maps' section which highlighted random maps for download as well as a 'per month' section with the current and previous months totals. Lastly he added a 'highest rated' which had highest rated (by players) maps. This gave newer maps a better chance at being spotted as well as a (potentially) continuous re-exposure.

For me the Top 100 SG listing was, for me, once a list for how active a SG was (high earnings=lots of active members) but with the ludicrously high levels of earnings someones can get, the list has become homogonised by the highest earners who squat there because there is no reasonable way of catching up with them and they have nothing lest to spend that prestige on. When I hear 'Top X on the SG list' now it's nothing more than fastidious work or from simply being around long enough.

You need more stats than just prestige to determine a 'good' SG: member count, active members in the last week/month, number joined this week/month, number left this week/month, open/closed to recruiting OR public/private/RP, the current 'owner' now that we have the Redstar leader. Low retention or high turnover could be gaged as well as how many members have been active within a timeframe, the leader might gain a rep for being a nice guy out and about so joining their group which had few members leaving and lots joining.

For example: the first group I joined had a prestige-related ranking system, back when rent was a % of your total earnings. I earned as much as I could missioning, took the hit for inf to make as much as I could. Then one week they decided to start a regular TF thing going and as I had just finished Croatoa I suggested doing the Katie Hannon TF. I spent time recruiting, got a good blend of ATs (the defender was an archer ) and then we ran with what we had. We made some good progress, got through in a good time with few deaths and it was a successful run. The leader of the group heard that it was a good run and decided to waver the prestige ranking for me and I got to be one of the earliest Commanders of the group. I was then trusted with base editing and once spent five hours remodelling our base into a more efficient design so that the hosptial, telepads and workshops were as close as they needed to be which pretty much cemented me as a member. But if it hadn't been for the tips and tricks that got posted on our forum at the time, I never would have got that far.
  3. Went on a BAF tonight; no power lag at all during the prisoner stage. Powers fired off as they recharged throughout. First one I've been on since the patch so it was nice to get a virtually lag-free battle.

Sometimes it was a coaster, sometimes it was the yellow pages, depending how unstable it was
  5. Wow, server stability patch. Haven't seen one of those for years

    Invalid Name?

Invalid means it's violating certain special character rules, one per name and no underscores, spaces are free.

If the name is protected it will come up as 'Not available for use' instead. Same if it's a profanity.

Actually it doesn't matter the alignment. I got mine as a Vigi (on the third go where I decided to blow up the warehouse instead since I'd failed by one twice already).

Heck I even got the Keeper of the Coral Lore as a Vigi as well as its side-contact badge -

And the time I actually got all of them, I failed to save the main guy but I just quit the arc after that since I had the badge

    Time to 50

I actually measured the adequate time and it works out to seven days. But it was based off a friend who played over the Dual Pistols DXP weekend. He made his DP blaster on launch night and was 50 by mid-Sunday.

I hope to get mine up the last five this DXP weekend coming

I've noticed that too. I think it must be related to the phone service as every Praetorian that ends up there gets bombarded with calls from five people they've never met before.

Maybe we can all gather our alts in Atlas and do a group facepalm for you like Naked Gun 33 1/3

On the FB front, I put in a name (my character's name) and an email/password combo then skipped the other steps and just liked the page. No personal info like college, University or workplace like they asked for, it's all skippable.
  11. There's also the grindtastic iTrials that are usurping people away from the journey of the 1-50 game. Could be another reason it feels empty.
  12. In the words of the Hitch-hicker's Guide to the Galaxy:

    DON'T PANIC

I hadn't met anyone up till that point last year but as soon as I walked in the door (after saying to Kall how would I be recognised) it was like old friends reunited even though I'd been chatting with them only 5 hours earlier.

The worst part was getting to the train station there and back as they'd decided to do major repairwork on that weekend.
  13. They should just remove the entry requirement for Ouro altogether. I already have a couple of level 10s who have the portal and a level 7 who has it for theme because I took them all through the base version of the crystal with my 50 MM.

Anyone who knows how to get a portal will get one and if not; they can ask someone who has.
  14. Or hopefully it will allow porting to the Echo of Galaxy instead much like the old 'Faultline' beacon initially sent people to old 'Faultline' when new Faultline went live.

  16. Now I had the global @Tyger since EU launch for the EU side of things, then the global integration came and I had to forefit my global for that of my NA namesake.

Well apparently he says I can have it now since he's been getting so many mistells. I really didn't think I was that active

The downside? I already used my rename token to change it to "@Tyger.". D'oh! >.<
  17. Well you can also get Clubber and Monitor Duty if you venture to Ds along with the aforementioned Banker.

    Ascension Armor

We got an answer to this already: never.

To paraphrase the post in question: the armour was designed with 50s and Incarnates in mind and it would be insulting to the artists who put so much work into making them for them to be available anyway else.

Which is why I'm not even bothering to unlock either set. Great suggestion but shot down already.

Edit - Posi said it here:

He specifically made something that could be used in pieces to augment your character’s existing costume to give it the “I’m an Incarnate” flair.

Going back and changing any of the restrictions on the armor now would be doing a disservice to the art team and how they worked their butts off to make a cosmetic reward for the Incarnate System that had a look and feel made specifically for it.

In both cases, I PMed the League Leader who told me the league got "Messed up" and was unable to reinvite me to league.

Something is fishy in your trial zoning system.
I don't even get that, just the usual team-quit spam as the League is transposed to the trial (BAF in my case).

Only happened on two BAFs so far, not tried any Lambdas yet and Keyes was just fine twice.
  21. Well I have booked my stay and ordered my tickets. Same plan as last time although maybe I'll try sleeping the night before instead of staying up as I crashed out when I got to the hotel....

    ... I said maybe
  22. I don't see why they don't just make a Hero and Villain booster for the equivalent price of the 30-day jetpack or less. I mean, the badge is only with the hero one and they want to avoid 'buying badges' but it would be a neat choice to have in the store even if it was just for the costumes parts especially with F2P coming later in the year.
  23. Custom class titles would be nice for AE users. Like how Hamidon, Reichsman and the various Powers allies in Praetoria can all have self-titled classes or Top Dog next to their health bars.
  24. A passing thought from another thread mentioning Null the Gull: aside from patch-notes there's nothing to point out he exists. So why not have more of them scattered through the Isles, Paragon and Praetoria telling of their cousin's existence?

We have Merit Vendors scattered about so why not add various 'Seagull' contacts to speak of Null's existence? With the work going into dialogue options; you could even have a different conversation with each one. Imagine one in Atlas telling you to head to D's after pretending not to understand you or another in Founders with the option 'you all look alike' and then getting offended (with a follow-up to apologise for being a seagulist ). Then others in the Isles could point out how annoying it is being unable to control powers thrust upon you or mentioning "those damn fortune tellers throwing their cards around all the time".

    The world needs more seagulls

If by some miracle I manage to retain it after the merge, I will be both gobsmacked and a lot happier.
Alas, some of us have a US account already and having checked, @Dante is being used already on the NA listing. I happened to be able to run two machines/clients side-by-side so I went stateside for a name check (by adding someone to gignore you will either see them (in use) or not).

And I'm in the same boat. I know there is a player with @Tyger as I couldn't have the same global when I started my US account and in the early days of the AE I kept getting his feedback on my account EU-side.

So I couldn't care less either. If some miracle-happenstance changes that I'd probably be happier but atm it's the last straw.
