Quote:Very good post, sir.The following test will tell you definitively if you are currently involved in a Nemesis Plot.
1) Did you listen to a radio station within 20 minutes of waking up today? If yes, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If not, proceed to question 2.
2) If you live with someone were they either non-communicative or spout off almost the identicle drivel they do every morning before you left for work? If yes, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If not, proceed to question 3.
3) On your way to work did unforseen circumstances (construction, car accident, etc) force you to take a different route than usual? If yes, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If not, proceed to question 4.
4) Does your first name begin with the letter "A"? If so, you are in a Nemesis plot. If not, proceed to question 5.
5) Upon arriving at work were you subjected to new training, a change in policy or pointless emails explaining policies you know by heart anyway? If yes, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If no, continue to question 6.
6) Did your co-workers say nothing but generic, non-specific excuses for conversational gambits that were about as deep as black ice on the highway? If yes, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If no, continue to question 7.
7) At any time today did you notice a large brass statue carrying a staff look at you, then quickly look away hoping you didn't see it? If yes, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If not, continue to question 8.
8) Were you forced by unforseen circumstances (namely your boss) to stay late after work? If so, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If not, continue to question 9.
9) Have you noticed an inordinate number of marching band members following you around today? If so, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If not, continue to question 11.
10) If you are reading THIS question now instead of proceeding to question 11 as instructed in question 9, you are in a Nemesis Plot. Proceed to question 11.
11) Are you beginning to feel a little paranoid? If so, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If not, continue to question 12.
12) Have you at any time actually LISTENED to what Zwillinger is saying during a Ustream? If so, you are in a Nemesis Plot. If not, continue to question 13.
13) Have you read and answered every question of this test? If so.... you are in a Nemesis Plot.
Thank you for completing this test. If the results of this test indicate you are currently in a Nemesis Plot remember: DO NOT PANIC!
.....
Unless you forgot to bring your towel... in which case panic would be the appropriate response after all.
Much funnier than my own answer, which would have been...
If you woke up today, then you're in a Nemesis plot.
I am a story teller (short stories mind you), not a joke creator.
Although, I do like punny jokes. The punnier the better.
Unfortunately, that same appreciation of punnies does not run in the rest of the household, so I frequently have my speaking privileges revoked. -

Quote:Which will delay the T4ing of said slots for a grand total of 1 day.Probably
It is the biggest flaw with the Incarnate system in my opinion, because the fact is, as you say, there will be people with large stockpiles, and the easiest way to keep those people from getting T4s as soon as they unlock the newest slots (without causing a whole lot of rage) will be to introduce another new form of currency. -
Quote:Since I was against inherent Fitness in the first place, and some one wants TS and HD removed because, and I quote...By removing TS and HD, you expect them to remove inherent fitness on the same grounds? What?
Quote:But here's the thing; every player has the FREEDOM OF CHOICE to select those powers. Meaning that if they are unable to keep up with faster players IT IS THEIR FAULT ENTIRELY.
This situation is not really any different. Except that it is restricted to (lol)PvP. -
Funny. I saw many arguments just like this concerning Stamina. The Dev's still caved in and made Fitness inherent. If they make the changes that you want them to make for PvP, then I fully expect them to revoke inherent Fitness as well.

Should I be wishing you a Bappy Hirthday?
Joyous annual age incrementation day.
or something like that. -

Quote:You are correct that no one, at least to my knowledge, has ever solo'd a Hami or Mothership raid. I have never participated in a Hami raid either. I participated in a mothership raid only to get the badge that was stupidly locked behind the force field so I could acquire the teleport beacon for the RWZ for a villain base.Trials are like TFs, or Hami/Mothership Raid. No one ever soloed the Hami or Mothership Raids did they? TFs have always required a team to form.
Quote:The Incarnate haters really cannot help themselves it would seem.
Most other people would see that those with complaints about the current method of Incarnate progression don't hate Incarnates, just the method of progression. Or, more accurately, the lack of viable options in progressing Incarnates.
I haven't heard anyone that has complained about the current state of the end game state that the Devs should remove all the raids and create solo only missions for Incarnate content. I have seen a lot of suggestions for adding small team/solo-able incarnate missions alongside the Incarnate raids to give people the option to either do raids, or do the small team/solo-able content. Or both if they so desired.
Yes, I know. I fed a troll. -

Quote:Don't forget the viable non-trial Incarnate advancement path as well.As long as they keep adding other stuff, too - like new power sets, more customization, updated/new zones, new story arcs - that's fine with me.
The current method of non-trial Incarnate advancement is not a viable option. -
I think Pistol Defense is in the works, right after what ever is after Dual Wield Archery defense.

Quote:Somehow, I don't think Rangle's comment was directed at you.That's just it.
I am not trying, nor do I have a desire, to get anything changed.
At all.
I simply have an opinion about some things in the game. Nothing more, nothing less.
Discussing my opinions here will not, in any meaningful way, help me enjoy life.
He probably just used the quick reply button because he didn't have any specific quote to dissect.
That is, of course, supposition and guess work on my part. I could be wrong.
I do not have any evidence to prove my stance.
Similarly, Jayboh doesn't have any evidence to prove his stance either.
The difference between us is that I can, and freely do, admit it. -
Quote:There are conversations going on in the league chat. I just don't participate. When I'm with my usual team, I do chat quite often. That's weird, we usually have a ton of chatter (IC and OOC) in league chat.
I am not a social butterfly. I am fully content to do things by myself or with a small group of my friends. I don't really like to do things with a large group of people that I don't know, or even care to know. Except for maybe play Volleyball. -
Quote:Agreed. I have yet to talk to anyone, but the person forming the league for a trial, while "participating" in the trial "experience".*It's my experience that being forced to do the BAF over and over to get my Incarnate gear does nothing to encourage me to socialise with the other people I team with.
I go to pocket D and say 'Blaster lf BAF' and wait for an invite. I'm surrounded by strangers, and my mood is tbh impatient and grumpy. I want to get it over with, so all i'm doing is scanning the broadcast for 'BAF forming pst' and the like. I'm certainly not there to chat or make friends.
When the trial starts, stopping to have a natter is the last thing anyone does.
And when it's done, it's 'gj all tx for team' and everyone logs out.
it's my experience that SOLOING encourages me to be more sociable because it allows me the time and opportunity to pasue whenever i want and chat in the various channels I'm a member of.
Sociability in an MMO isn't having your avatar stood next to another avatar firing off powers. It's communicating with other people. And it's my experience that PuG trials discourage all but the most basic specific goal-driven communication, ie 'team A to South' or 'To me' and suchlike.
Eco.
*the trial experience includes the wait for the trial to start after the league is formed. -
Yes, The Borealis Essence does use its heal.

I want to know why GG is holding the CoH logo while attempting to punch the mechanical monstrosity. It's not going to break if it falls. In fact, I don't think it can fall...

Quote:My understanding of the reset is because when a new issue comes out, it gives an unfair advantage to lower level/newer characters over the higher level/older characters, point wise. To level the playing field, everyone has to go and start from scratch again. The one thing missing is why you restart your league with new game updates. I think I remember you posting this in the past but I seem to have forgotten.
Overall, I greatly applaud your efforts for finding the fun in the game that best suits you. We see lots of posts on the boards of saying the game is boring to them, nothing is fun anymore, etc. Every time I think of you and want to tell them that their fun is only as far away as their own imagination.
Its quite logical, in a masochistic way.
