This would be awesome, since the morality missions are going to be for a rogue or vigilante, I would think that the tip missions have to lead to a type of morality and therefore have two possible outcomes.

So completing the tip mission with the Vigilante option counts towards getting a morality mission that deals with becoming a villain...
From how I understood it the Morality mission is what actually changes or moves you towards being Good/Bad and there would be choice of somesort involved within them. The tip missions just allow you to get the morality mission.

Issue 18 is the issue that is coming out with GR - it was confirmed a little while ago (but I can't find the link sorry) and if you look at the bottom of the I18 info page they are plugging the GR stuff as the extra stuff you get if you buy it.

ParagonWiki gives the info how I18 is part of GR at the bottom of this page http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Issue_18

Im assuming the badge/merit rewards mentioned are replacing the Items of Power as rewards for the CoP
  6. Shield/Mace Tank - with a manhole cover for a shield and spanner for the mace!

  7. Rad blast like people have said works well for Light Blast, as does Energy Blast or Energy Manipulation.

I think Fire Blast looks quite light like when coloured whitey/yellow (I've got a Fire/Energy Blaster with those colours and I think it looks great).

Invulnerable/Energy Melee Tank coloured white would work well as well.

Fire Control (coloured white like I suggested for Fire Blast) with eithe Forcefield, Sonic (as people have suggested) or Empathy coloured white could work. Kinetics could work as well.
Gravity, at a push, could pass for light manipulation (but its not the best option).

Illusion control could be played as a hard light type character like whats been suggested.

Depending on whether you wanted to stay blueside or not you could always go for a Energy Melee/Energy Aura Brute or Stalker (you could always go Rogue with them bringing them blueside eventually).

You could also do a a /Energy Manipulation dominator.

  9. Now I'm home I will post my build - note I have used a few purple sets in here and I haven't even finished getting them all yet. But it can be worth keeping just the purple Chance to hold proc and the chance to knockdown proc even if you don't keep the whole sets.

You could always replace the purple sets as so to keep a lot of the recharge:

    Apocalypse - replace with Decimation
Gravitational Anchor - replace with Trap of the Hunter
Absolute Amazement - replace with Stupefy
Ragnarok - replace with Positron's Blast

Although that will make you go over the rule of 5 for 6.25% recharge so pick and choose how you replace them.

  10. This looks very similar to the build I use for my Grav/Storm controller and he seems to work quite effectively but there are some differences. I can't post the build as Im at work at the moment.

In terms of slotting I have slotted a +Hold IOs in Lift (I took that instead of Crush), two in Gravity Distortion and one in Gravity Distortion field. I also fraken slotted Gravity Distortion for both damage and hold. I also slotted a damage proc and (once I could afford it) the purple chance to hold proc in Crushing Field. If you slot it for enough edurance reduction it can become quite spammable.

Other differences are I took Gravity Distortion Field earlier (18 I think) pushing back Stamina etc. I found if you slot for plenty of end reduction having stamina at 24 isn't that bad. I also took Wormhole and Thunderclap before Hurricane.

I'm also considering (haven't done it yet) swapping Snow Storm for O2 Boost as I am finding I am not using Snow Storm except on AVs/EBs.

The other difference is more a thematic one in that I took Hover and Fly as my travel power and I am building my toon for Endurance Reduction and Recharge so I could drop Hasten (currently at 45% recharge and have only used one Purple set so far). I found that in longer battles (e.g. AVs on teams and EBs solo) the /Storm section can be very endurance hungry because of recasting Tornado and Lightning Storm so the crash from Hasten was getting on my nerves but I still wanted the high recharge.

I can still stealth with Steamy Mist and a Stealth IO.

I would like to fit in Teleport into my build (because I can stealth) but haven't figured out where yet.

  21. Hi

Is anyone having a problem with the EU updater not downloading the new patch after the downtime?

I boot up the updater as normal and can log in all the way but when I go to choose my server I get the message:

Wrong game version, run patcher and reconnect, server 1800.201006040036.5Tr, client 1800.201006040036.3T

    Has anyone had this?
  22. There are some numpties out there!

Me I use the arrow keys as well - mainly because Im left handed and have a lot of stuff set up quite differently. I, like you, use my left hand for tabbing and my main attacks and have the second tray set to my numpad for support powers and if I have them a self heal set to numpad 1 or 0 as I can hit them quickly with my little finger while moving about.
  23. I noticed this with the FFG when I first started playing my Bots/Traps MM - I was very disapointed it didn't do anything lol

Not everyone plays toons for performance reasons.

    As magikwand has just said:

People like to play different powersets because they can do different things and fit different concepts.

And some people may not find DM fun to play. For example (although not a stalker example) one of my fav powersets is Gravity Control but at times this is seen as the weakest control set.

For me - if it gets the job done and you enjoy playing it then thats reason enough
  25. Thats a hard call for me because I tend to use so many of the different costumes to mix and match and I get different uses out of all of them.

Cyborg Booster: I use the costume parts (arms , shoulders and legs particularly) quite often, I also like the ACCAHUD a lot. Occasionally use Self Destruct as a pseudo travel power or Get Out of Dept free power. Emotes, rarely

Science Booster: I use the Rubber boots a lot (they are quite versitle) as well as the various face masks and breathers. I like being able to change the body shape of my toons and have used it on occasion. Emotes occasionally, Cossie change emotes regularly

Magic Booster: I use the cape A LOT along with the Skull Mask and Wizard beard. I also use the baron jacket a fair bit. I use mystic fortune quite often. Emotes occasionally, Cossie change emotes a lot (lightning is one of my fav ones)

Martial Arts Booster: The costumes I use rarely, they are very good but not as versitile as the others although the helmet pieces are my fav. Ninja Run is a brilliant power however and has led me to skipping travel powers on a couple of toons. The emotes and cossie change emotes are rarely used

Mutant Booster: I love the costume pieces and made some fun cossies out of them last night but time will tell about their versitility. Have had some good use out of secondary mutation (haven't been turned into a monkey yet!). Emotes, haven't tried and Dimensional shift is my FAV cossie change emote!
