Short version: the badge was going to be simply renamed, but players objected, so they made a new badge instead (gotten in the new version of the TF) and left the old badge alone (gotten in the "echo" of the old TF in Oroborous). They did the same thing with the Sister Psyche and Penny Yin TFs and badges.

There's some weirdness with EAT unlocking, actually.
I unlocked HEATs and VEATs long before Freedom came out, let my subscription lapse (due to Lack Of Job), and found they were both still playable on my then-Premium account when Freedom launched. They were (and still are) even listed in /mypurchases.
Maybe they'll lock again if my subscription lapses again, but I couldn't test that even if I wanted to for at least two months. -
Did I miss a new giveaway? What code are we talking about here?

I always seem to get it when I'm doing an escort mission. "Now you have a buff that makes it even easier for the NPC to lose track of you! Congratulations!"
It can be nice at times (especially, yeah, on my Stone/Stone Tanker), but it's also the only one that doesn't have any combat application. I'd rather there have been a small +Resist buff as one of the effects (to go along with the two different +Defense buffs, one of which also gives +accuracy and +perception). -
I'm looking forward to digging out my old Elec/Elec Blaster. He was actually my very first character, but I never got him past level 20.

Quote:No, I'm thinking of the right number. Take a look at the Combat Attributes yourself. Accuracy Bonus is listed as a multiplier (base 1.00x without enhancements), while To Hit Bonus is listed as a percentage (base 75% without enhancements), and it's the latter I'm talking about. Neither of them start at 0.Thunder_Knight: You're thinking of Accuracy. ToHit is a different mechanic, and is used in a different part of the attack mechanic.
ToHit starts at 0, and isn't reflected in your powers' slotting, because it isn't part of the power, it's the same value for all powers. If you want to see your ToHit value, you'll have to look at your Combat Attributes - that's the only place it shows up.
And yes, you were about 12 hours late. But he said he'll be back to read over late responses and try to answer them, so you aren't TOO late, just late. :P
And my suggestion had absolutely nothing to do with any sets at all. It was simply that the fast snipe animation be a gradual thing, with any To Hit bonus also being treated as an Interrupt Time bonus for snipes (and only for snipes), as opposed to having full "wind-up" animation at +0% to 21.99% To Hit, no "wind-up" animation at +22% To Hit and above, and nothing in between.
Reppu pointed out a page back that it doesn't work that way, that it's all or nothing, but I was asking if it could (or should) be a more gradual transition. -
I didn't see if this was asked or answered, so my apologies for repeating someone else's suggestion.... but any chance of making the Snipe activation scaling rather than all-or-nothing?
That is, at 75% To-Hit (or lower, if you somehow manage that), it has the full 4-second interrupt time, at 97% To-Hit (and higher) it has no interrupt time, but at, say, 86% To-Hit, it has 2-second interrupt time? (In other words, half-way to that +22% mark you get half of the animation removed, or 99% of the way to that +22% mark, you get 99% of the animation time removed)
Or is that simply not possible with the way the animation system works?
Edit: And it occurs to me that, due to time zones, I may be waaaaay too late to ask Arbiter Hawk any questions. Or way too early. I'm not sure. -
If they were ever invulnerable, then they've definitely changed it. The NPCs you have to escort are Lieutenant-level characters who are cheerfully aggroing every enemy on the map. I can only do so much to keep them alive when they're trying to take on multiple Bosses at the same time.

That is exactly what happened to me. Nadia kept killing herself every time. I still haven't completed it.
Instead of abandoning it, though, I just grabbed one of the repeatable missions, selecting that as my "team task", and then re-selecting The Dark Host. It didn't restart the entire mission that way, just the second half. -
Quote:You might have seen a new list. A second "40 of the worst Liefield drawings" article was just posted on Friday: http://www.progressiveboink.com/2012...efeld-drawingsGood thing I searched instead of posting
Just saw this this past weekend; didn't realize it'd been out that long.

I always thought of fighting other villains as Eliminating The Competition (and also being a part of why villains don't have long-term wins - they're fighting each other as much as they fight the heroes, who are generally more organized and willing to cooperate).

I can understand not wanting text, but I'd like to see something. A brief extra hit flash, or just anything to let me know that it went off at the time it went off. (And not trying to scroll back through a combat log that is constantly moving after the fight's over)
Otherwise it doesn't "feel" like Assault is doing anything at all. (And I already have that issue with Interface) -
I want to see the Doublehit text, too. Yeah, it's in the combat log, but that zooms by too fast to see a single line that stays in the window for maybe half a second. I'd like to know it when it's happening, not when I go back after the fight is over and dig through dozens of lines of combat text.

Well, seeing it "in context" really means playing Portal and stumbling across the phrase itself. In the game, it comes across as creepy tinged with funny, rather than laugh-out-loud funny. The "joke" is seeing it in another context after first seeing it in the game.
Memes didn't start with the Internet (Jimmy Walker's "Dy-no-mite!" was as much a meme in its time as "I can has cheezburger?" is now), but the Internet popularized the word "meme" (to the extent that I think the word "meme" itself, the way it's usually used, has actually become a meme). -
I went Core, because I didn't want Hurricaine pushing enemies away from my Elec/Invuln Brute. But on a ranged character I'd probably want the mitigation. (For example, I'll probably go Radial on my Elec/Elec Blaster, if he ever gets up that high)
So it depends on what sort of character you have. -
Changing one already-existing symbol to another already-existing symbol is not really a gigantic extensive makeover that would take a team a long time to do. (That's why I suggested using the "T". After all, if it's good enough for submarines and interdimensional portals, it's good enough for the helicopters)
-
Note that Gabriel will only give you a reward once a week, so you can wait 20 hours between re-doing each arc, grab the Merits each time, and still be able to get Gabriel's reward.
-
Would it be possible to get them marked on the map with a "T" (or some distinctive symbol) rather than the generic green circle?
Sometimes it's difficult to remember they even exist. -
Standard Code Rant aside, it seems like a relatively easy task.
Emphasis on "seems" and "relatively" and "Standard Code Rant", of course, but the general AP framework is there, and the powers and animations already exist (since they're all just ports of already-existing powers), so that's a major part of the job done already.
As I've said before, having all elemental options available for all ATs would be great. -
I'm probably playing my Mastermind all wrong, but I just enjoy pointing them at enemies and watching those enemies fall down. (Bear in mind I play at +0/x1, so if they accidentally aggro another group, that means maybe an extra two or three guys, so no big deal)
I play Bots/Storm, so there's usually a Tornado (and, soon, a Lightning Storm) out there causing havoc, too. Between the 'bots, the Tornado, Gale, Hurricane, and the occasional Pulse Rifle Burst, there are bodies flying everywhere. KB so hard their head is stuck in a wall while my bots are shooting at their butt.
It's downright awesome.
If playing a MM that way is wrong, I don't want to be right. -
... wait, Zangief isn't a villain. (The closest he came to villainy was being one of Bison's henchmen in the American live-action movie, but that was because he was literally too stupid to realize that Bison was a villain; once he learned that, he switched sides immediately)
Also, the game on the website is "Fix-It Felix Jr.", and is noticeably different even from what little they show of the game in the trailer.
Yeah, I'm still going to see the movie. But... gotta get those nitpicks out of the way first. -
I... actually have an idea for this one. That's never happened before.
Edit: And then I realized, it's borderline NSFW. Never mind. -
I had no idea what to use on my Stone/Stone Tanker, so I went with Nemesis. I don't have any idea what the numbers are on that particular choice, but I just like watching the War Hulk (and the Colonel) running around shooting things.
