Lore pet preference

I was looking for input about Lore pet choices for a brute. Do any particularly stand out? I'm Stone/Willpower, and I'd say that if I had to pick a weakness it might be not enough AoE damage. Do any particularly excel in that area?

Hybrid suggestions would be great as well. And I was going Reactive (Interface) and Barrier (Destiny), but I'll listen to suggestions if ya got 'em.

Thanks.

Cimerorans and Warworks are the 2 highest DPS...

Cimerorans is all ST attacks

Warworks damage is slightly less than Cimerorans but they have an AoE attack.

Currently Playing:
Rage King - SS/Regen Brute (50+3)
Soulfire Darkness - Dark/Fire Tank (50+2)
Deaths Final Embrace - Kat/Dark Brute (50+3)

Warworks also have -Regen, and non S/L damage.

They're my favorite.

(Most people go with Cims, though. Very good single-target S/L damage, and I think even -RES?)

Edit: None of them really stand out from an AOE perspective.

Maybe Storm Elementals? I've used them on one of my themed characters, they do fair AOE but their single-target is bad, and they run out of endurance pretty fast.

If you're just concerned with performance, Warworks would probably be your best bet, since they do have a decent AOE among them.

I'd say using Lore pets to fill the AoE gap isn't a great idea, going for the better all-around performer would be a good choice.

There is an interesting thread, though the DPS does not take resistances or debuffs into account. Longbow are fairly popular, and may be a good choice.

Great, thanks for the responses.

Nothing really works with my theme (a former football player who juiced himself up too much and became a super-villain), so I think I'm just going to go with some giant robots.

Ah yeah ,I didn't see you also asked opinions on Hybrid.

It's kind of a weird slot man, hard to give recommendations.

If you find you could use a little extra survivability, you could go for one of the Melee slots, though the bonus regen might not be noticed, the resists should help quite a bit. Alternatively, Support if you want to help the team out in a pinch or the standard Assault (the damage add one, not damage buff, probably)

You might also consider a different Interface. Reactive is great, but it's also one of the most common picks. The debuffs (including DoT, last I checked) only stack 4x per target. Doesn't matter how many people have them, you'll get it to 4 stacks and.. that's it. If you're planning on soloing a lot, it's a great choice. But if you're going to be teaming, you could go with one of the more uncommon damage types, or even a debuff. The -ToHit helps survivability a touch, though you don't have a lot of AoE to apply it to a group, unfortunately. These effects are all not really noticeable on AVs, either, so that throws single-target usefulness out the window.

Basically Interface is one of the least useful slots and don't worry about building it before your shifts, and Judgement. :P

I had no idea what to use on my Stone/Stone Tanker, so I went with Nemesis. I don't have any idea what the numbers are on that particular choice, but I just like watching the War Hulk (and the Colonel) running around shooting things.

Can the Nemesis LT give Vengeance when he dies?

Yeah, my theme would definitely benefit from some of the more human pets; like the Family, or maybe some Skulls. But I guess some high-level versions from those groups would need to be introduced first.
