Wait so Double Hit originally had text and people complained?
I am normally a fan of float text, but I think double hit procs too often for it to be of value. You can see your double hit values in the the combat log (Damage Delivered, IIRC).

I like the idea of text, though it does seem like it might get annoying. Maybe if you could only see YOUR orange doublehit and not everyone else's grey doublehits. I think Ion Judgment Jump should be removed, at least the grey ones.

I want to see the Doublehit text, too. Yeah, it's in the combat log, but that zooms by too fast to see a single line that stays in the window for maybe half a second. I'd like to know it when it's happening, not when I go back after the fight is over and dig through dozens of lines of combat text.
I don't want to see it, there's enough clutter on the screen already from unwanted and overzealous visual effects.

For the record, I never saw any text nor heard of it being there and then being removed.
However, I'm glad for that. Any 2d elements that pop up over the game that we can be less of, the happier I am. It's all about personal preferences and tastes and all, so arguing over which is right is pointless. Options to add or remove, on the other hand... Of course, that's way out of our hands.

I can understand not wanting text, but I'd like to see something. A brief extra hit flash, or just anything to let me know that it went off at the time it went off. (And not trying to scroll back through a combat log that is constantly moving after the fight's over)
Otherwise it doesn't "feel" like Assault is doing anything at all. (And I already have that issue with Interface)

Edit: Actually that might be good, standard damage one colour, procs another, interface another etc.

Back when I had Bonfire on my Dom, I found the text spam to be completely hilarious. But yea, annoying I suppose.

The different colors could be cool and helpful...but I enjoy seeing the big orange and grey double hit, overpower, critical, assassin strike, etc pop up, but I can see how it could get annoying to some people. What really needs to be done to make the most people happy is to add player options...for each set of popup numbers/words have 3 settings...see all, see only mine, see none...maybe even throw in a color selector or two (to color yours different from others). People who want them can have them. People who don't can turn them off. Std code rant may apply, but I would thing the majority of the processing for displaying those is client side so it shouldn't have any impact on other players and shouldn't be too difficult to handle?.
Actually the more I think about it...throw in a way to change the text that actually pops up...like a smashing DMg proc hits...you can tell it to pop up "Thwak!" for example...and bam...customizable visual sounds

Somewhere there must be a file containing the word 'Critical' as is applies to scrappers, and if they put that on client side maybe we could edit it as we please.
If is no more confusing that black fire. Though perhaps seeing '*****!' or 'All ****** up!' appear above somethings head might not be such a good thing.

So I messaged Synapse who then forwarded my PM to Arbiter Hawk. Double Hit originally had text that when it went off said "DOUBLE HIT" in capital letters. (Like Dominate, Critical, Assassin Strike, etc)
I don't remember this on beta. Did most people not like this? Personally, I would like to see it back. With Fiery Embrace, Interface, IO Procs, Double Hit, etc, my damage numbers is a jumbled mess. Would be nice to see this visually.
