I understand you have decided to stick with your original plan and that's fine by me - all the best playing it.
In the last few posts I've noticed that you say you use repulsion without anyone complaining and think ts a great power - can I just ask in what sort of situtation you use it? I have a grav/sonic and I skipped repulsion simply becase it sounded awful on paper and I could't imagine it going down well on a team Just curious to hear from someone who obviously uses and likes the power - thanks!
[/ QUOTE ]
I use it often on Blasters or various other squishies who don't have too good defense (that includes other Controllers). Espicially good for Meele-situited enemies. -

don't care really what you think is wrong, it's what bug's me and i just hope they can be fixed to make a bit more sense.
[/ QUOTE ]
sorudo, just because what you think should be "fixed" doesn't mean everyone wants it, in fact you may be the only one who wants it, the devs don't put a new feature just for you, they put it for the whole community on EU and US. I don't want to turn this into a flame war, but ignoring what other people say is only going to make you the loser. Let's say you live in Sweden and you're going to a gig in Switzerland in a few days. Another person tries to tell you the gig has been called off, but you tell them you don't care, go to the gig, nobody's there. You wasted all your money getting there for nothing because you ignored something.
As for the suggestion itself, I believe SteelRat pointed out well what I was going to say. Also the earlier posters.

wow...that made next to no sense.

I can't really see why people are getting on the high horse about this. If I read correctly, then it won't affect you unless you do real money trading.
Also, RMT prices are insane, IMHO. As I like to say, if you trade with real money and virtuall money, the only loser is yourself. The seller just gets his cold, hard cash ready to spend it on whatever he likes, probably another MMO, then rack up the cash on that, buy another until he has dominated all the MMOs and now decides to buy a mansion. -

What about us that don't PvP?
But I'd like to see a LOT more dev chat over here. I feel ignored, neglected even, by the devs because they rarely ever come here. The last time I saw a dev step foot in the EU was War Witch in MiniCon. And very VERY little players ever went to that.
The devs need to post here more and go here more, then assure us we're not being ignored and neglected. Peroid. -
The Elflings would be your best bet. They're a SG of elf characters. Contact @Bris Elfling, or anyone with "Elfling" in their name.

So I can't LOL anymore!? WAHHHH *uses unreadable txt speak*
Seriously, I don't mind text speak, but if someone overuses it, then it does get annoying. It shows that they can't speak English...or any other language. Actually, I heard somewhere that it was a registered language...if so PLEASE don't roll it across schools around the world...if you wanna teach 'em it just get them a mobile phone! -

Thank you for the welcome Phantoms, and let me say i can understand your dissaproval of this, but hear me out..
I know raids can be a pain in the rear and there are other threads elsewhere asking for them to be done less which I agree with. Nothing worse that trying to do something in a zone and end up caught in the middle of a raid you dont want to be a part of.
(Perhaps the devs can look at a way of making you unattackable by raid mobs, or work on where raid mobs spawn, to make it a bit easier on those people who don't want to be involved, but that had been asked for elsewhere so i will speak no further of it.)
On the face of it this does seem like unconsentual PVP, but think about it, the players would be just like normal raid zombies, but just have more HP (maybe even that can be reduced). It won't be like they can suddenly unleash all their powers on you, and while it would be possible for a large group to run around a zone attacking anyone and everyone, the zombie players would also be attackable by everything else and would be level independant like normal raid zombies. I think the non zombie players would have the upper hand. Heck the devs could reduce the number of spawning zombies to balance the number of player zombies.
For your last point, I think the costume tattering would work well and just add a little extra look and feel factor to being attacked by zombiefied heroes/villains. Also none of this would be permanent so your beautiful costume would miraculously go back to normal after you stopped being a zombie (if you even chose to be one in the first place).
[/ QUOTE ]
1. Have to agree with your suggestion there.
2. I'm sorry, but anything that allows other players to attack me while in a PvE zone is PvP, fair and square.
3. I don't think it will boost, I certainly wouldn't like it and I know other people wouldn't.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the game and the forums as well. I'd point you to the New Players/Player Questions for any queries you might have. As I've said before, enjoy your stay. -

I'm not trying to say "this is wrong, this is right", what I'm trying to say is "I tried this, I also tried this and I found this better in 95% of the cases".
For the group invis thing, while you're right that some defense is better than no defense, the thing is, little amounts of defense wont do much if you dont have anything to stack them with. At 25% def the 2% you will get from group invis wont help you. Really. The sustained DPS of the enemy will drop, but you being a squishy wont change. The little drop in their DPS wont be enough to keep you alive any better than you would stay alive currently.
Liquefy then, the only thing I found it useful on my sonic/psi was against Cap'n Mako. One opponent in the whole game. That's WAY too situational in my opinion. Instead of it you could get a power that has 90% more usefulness in general PvE and a little less usefulness against Cap'n Mako.
Sonic repulsion on the other hand, it has it uses like every power in this game. But just like for liquefy, you could pick a power that is more useful. If you like it I'm not going to come to you and scream "IT'S WRONG! YOU BREAK GAME! DS NOT LIKE!"keep it if you want, my opinion is that there are better powers available.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I tried to end all the commition in the ocean 4 posts ago...
As I said 4 posts above, I'll be sticking with what I've got. But I will take some time to think over this in a little more detail. Ty for the comments -
[ QUOTE ]
To address a few points....
1: Group invis for defense. It gives you 3.75 defense, enhancable to 5.6% which is cut in half when you're in combat. 2.8% def in combat. MAX. You're better off with the +3% def unique in one of your resistance powers.
2: Liquefy. While on paper the debuffs et all look great the recharge is what ultimately makes it useless.
3: Sonic Repulsion. Well what can I say? There's a world of better powers you can pick instead of this.
[/ QUOTE ]
Uhhh, I'm sorry I have to disagree once again, 1. any Defense is better than no defense in my book 2. well it is situational what did you expect and 3. I like this power I think its great IMHO. Comments doesnt necessarily mean "right, this is bad, change this" although I see your trying to avoid that while trying to get your opnion on the power across. -
Eh not too sure about this. On the one hand it sounds incredibly useful, on the other hand it's already quick enough to get to RWZ. Also, 50 Merits for 5 uses does sound a bit unfair. Unless you go to a Mothership Raid, you won't have that much merits flying around to justify the cost for value.
So, /half-signed. -
Yeah, it's good DSorrow but I think I'm sticking with what I got. Also I disagree Group Invis can be useful for defense, and Liquefy is a great knockdown when you use it correctly, and Sonic Repulsion when I use it no one has complained so I must definetely be doing something wrong then?
-
Nope. Very much /unsigned because...
1. I am sick and tired of zombie invasions and invasions and general. I wouldn't like to see them next year.
2. Anything with PvP which is forced on me during a raid? Sorry, not gonna happen.
3. Don't make my beautiful costume parts tattered. Please! A zombie doesn't have to be tattered anyway.
I am very sorry, this is your first post and I should say welcome to the forums and enjoy your stay, but I don't like this suggestion. But anyway, welcome and enjoy. -

What? You never played Guild Wars then? Or Age of Conan?
And yes, WoW has animated hair.

Surprisingly, because sorudo always refers to GW (and sorudo they are not the same game, so we won't have the same content...period).
But I demand animated hair come to pass eventually. -

It doesn't need fixing all that much - the major problem with it is that it's the first TF you can get, and its length means that it's almost impossible to finish without going into autoexemplar, and it's therefore the most likely to suffer from the 'hey, I'm not getting XP any more! I'm going!' problem.
Plus, although I can see why it's only got an EB rather than an AV at the end, he's not any different in appearance to a regular Eidlon so it feels like rather an anticlimax after such a long series of sometimes grueling tasks.
I'd suggest making a new TF, say four or five missions with an EB at the end, set entirely within one city zone, against someone weedy like the Skulls or the Hellions that could act as an 'introductory' TF for new players, and keeping Positron (maybe tweaking it a bit to add an AV or something) for more 'advanced' players.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes! New players are far too young to be doing missions from thew Freedom Phalanx, anyway -

I was going to screengrab a whole load of my characters but it's really slow on my laptop so just done a couple for now. Will post some more later in the week when I get my desktop PC back up and running!
Psygon, my signature character.
Aveda Starling (meant to have a retro feel to her costumes)
Candy Cold (the kinda matching toon to Sapphic's Freya Fallout).
I've also got a totally out of date page on my website with quite a few of my characters available... Looks of some of the characters there have changed since I made that page tho!
[/ QUOTE ]
13 50's...now I wouldn't mind that
Also have to complement you on this great costumes, I was never too good at making a heroine costume! (mostly because 95% of my characters are male...no, I'm not sexist...just I feel there's a lot more...as we might say...diversity...on a female character some of the costume pieces that look good on males look weird)

Even if we can't convince you on the value of shields, I'd still swap repulsion for disruption field so both you and your pets effectively do more damage. I'd also switch clarity for dispersion shield which gives resistance to damage and statuses for both you and your phantasmm as long as it stays within range. As far as I see it - if the phantasm is being held then there is a fairly good chance you will be held by the same mobs. If you are held you can't cast clarify anyway! (Of course if you're planning on using perma clarity on your pet this won't hold true as much).
Anyway you asked for comments on your builds which have been given. Hope you have fun with whatever build you settle on.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tbh, I think I'm going to stick with my build for concept alone. I am also not convinced swapping the Sonic powers are worth it.
But thanks everyone for the comments -

even WoW has animated hair
[/ QUOTE ]
It does?! I've never noticed it. Character models in WoW are horribly basic.
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly - if even they have it, then it must be a basic human right
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, but they don't have it, so it's clearly not a basic human right.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is - I hear basic humans play WOW
[/ QUOTE ]
Let's face it, WoW is a game of cat and mouse, with one faction desperately grabbing on to any of their loot that they can before the Horde come and then they despreately take their armor and run into the hills only to be eaten by a ravaging tiger.
But any young humans left there are destined for doom, as the Horde with their l33t loot attemptes to phisically assault the young humans, and the young humans shout their cry for help*, when the Horde then screams their warcry^, and then a lvl 1 despreately stands up to the Horde and attempts to destroy the evil Horde only to be forseeing its own death.
And then the young humans still cower, and the Horde wreck their grown village, take away their crops, kill their cattle, and then the young humans scream once again, only to then be approached by a marauding RMT seller, the young humans plead for help, but all they get is a cheap-knock off for gold and their town is never rebuilt, their leader was earlier killed by a marauding tiger, and the previous town was destroyed by the Horde. The young humans are left on the green, green grass with no where to go but...CoX.
