Costume designs - Post them here!
Ok my best 3 designs are:
Sublimate - Energy/Invul Tank
My heroic hero one
Shadestar - Claws/SR Scrapper
Gimped charecter but still good costume.
Starcrash - Peacebringer
My favorite costume, suits the powers of peacebringer as well pretty good.
Ooh good idea.
Skulltipped, this is his indoors/summer costume, quite proud at how it came out.
Baked Potato, this is his PvP/big fight/show off costume
Commander Beet, the main costume where the only change since creation has been the addition of a cape. I think. Memory's a little rusty.
I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender
Sometimes all at once.
Union EU player! Pip pip, tally ho, top hats and tea etc etc
Not at home, so can't get my screenshots proper, but!
Rushmore: It's Rushmore, the Stone/Stone tanker who gained his powers from a mystical spirit on said mountain. Given the power to protect America when he's on... uh, American soil, using the good old land of sweet liberty and land of the free to beat criminals over the head.
Zortel: After years of wearing a black leather and armour costume, Zorielle Rolando decided as she moves out of her prime, she needed something else to protect her. Hence the mark 7 suit. She started off fighting crime in thigh highs, a miniskirt, armour and her gloves. And now this high tech sleek machine for blasting out with energy. Progress!
Number Nine: A stitch in time might not save Nene MacAllister, but the pretty gynoid's black and blue suit of chronoarmour sure does! Designed to teleport onto her thanks to her transport buffers, it allows full intergration of her systems into an armoured design and lets her channel her spatial manipulating energies through it. Plus, when all you see is a blue visor glowing at you, she's a -lot- more scary in the dark.
Alraune: The Plant/Thorns Dominator, now working for the Unity Vigil. The German girl is a blond bombshell, and makes the most of her figure hugging costume to draw the eye before delivering a thorough amount of whoop-tushie. Less is most definately more this season, and with all that skin bare there's plenty of places for her to sproud thorns and vines.
Jan Boa: The owner of the Euromart in Port Oakes, and boss of Boa Personell Services, the half snake, half human Jan sells protection, at a price, along with many other legal and semi-legal services. Need something guarded, retrieved, returned or stolen? Boa can help.
ADAOS: The Armoured Drone Agent for Offensive Situations is now working for the Unity Vigil, slowly developing a heart and putting his massive body size and built in kinetic dampeners to use, as well as his stun impactors to take down foes hard, but harmlessly. Mostly.
Arcfreeze: Does exactly what it says on the tin. He zaps, he freezes, and he can run the paperboy delivery on Atlas Boulevard faster than anyone else.
Wow nice costumes guys, particularly a fan of ADAOS and Jan Boa.
I think ADAOS would particularly suit a white and black star2 pattern cape if/when he can get it
Good work and keep em comin'!

Isles - The name fits in with the pattern, I just generally enjoy this costume. It's a sort of cool mix between the Isles pattern and some Korean trousers.
Arachnos Bot Mk.III - Dead character, but I like the costume very very much. That's why I'll never delete him...
Blind Yakuza - Would like to thank Napalm Bomb for helping me make this costume! It looks great IMHO!
Figured we were long overdue for this thread, i hope it gets stickied!

Here's a few of the costumes I like on my first level 50, Flying Pie. Sorry about the size, didn't realise they'd turn out so small
The original Flying Pie just with a cap added.
The Cimoran Flying Pie created to celebrate my first (and only) sucessful ITF.
The More heroic looking Flying Pie.
Alternate costumes:
Shadestar - Claws/SR Scrapper 2nd costume
Not sure whether i like this one. Might get redone in near future, looks a bit too much like a wedding outfit to me
Starcrash - Peacebringer - 2nd costume - Flying and Powers activated
Vet rewards rule
Bombardment- AR/Dev Blaster - 1st Costume - With Weapon Drawn
Bombardment is a lot similar to Starcrash, if you like the design, might as well keep it
Bombardment - AR/Dev Blaster - 2nd Costume
Didnt bother with a weapon drawn one for this, i think it needs some work yet to complete it.
Bombardment- AR/Dev Blaster- Costume 3 - Weapon Drawn
Although I would love to claim i designed this, I asked Warscythe if I could make a female version of his costume and he agreed. All credit goes to him for making such a brilliant design.

Aww shucks , but as I said mate you made it work within the concept, plus the Vanguard rifle suits the style to a tee

Okay, well, I couldn't say I'm totally satisfied with many of my costume designs. Quite happy, yes, but not really "wow, this one was good." I do have a couple I like, so here they are.
Nitoichi's leotard costume: This one was adapted after a little play. She originally wore a short dress and knee-length boots, and I switched to this design as much for roleplay reasons as anything. Ni is really an Image comics heroine and this costume really shows that off nicely, plus, who can resist a girl with sharp swords and thigh-boots?
Nitoichi's battlesuit: This has also been tweaked over time, mostly with the addition of Vanguard chestplate and shoulders. To be honest, I think I prefer the original chestplate I had and may go back to it at some point. Nice thing about this is that it's full-coverage and yet manages to show off the model's characteristic Image-style bodyform.
Argent Star: Argent Star was me having another go at a kheldian. She was created on Defiant and doesn't get played much, but I do like the costume. It's thematically good and works very well with the Peacbringer powersets, as well as having the clean lines of a fairly classic superhero costume.

Alright, spent most of the evening going over my chars and their costumes. Here's a small collection of my Favorite chars and costumes.
Sapphic Neko
My "signature" toon. She's one of my Favorites, so much that she actually exsists in two versions. A lvl 50 brute on Union and a lvl 50 scrapper on Defiant.
Here's her Scrapper Cossies and her Brute Cossies.
The very forst cossie on both version is the same, thats what i consider her signature costume.
Gunsmith Cat
My perhaps favorite blaster, Assault Rifle/Energy.
She has a lineup of various cossies of no real theme.
Fluffy Handcuffs
This character was not really planned, she was initially made cause Gonk said it would be a good name for a character, he was right. I once tried get my girlfriend to play the game and of all my chars she picked this one, two of the costumes are hers. Sadly my attempt failed and she didn't like it enough to get a account of her own.
Anyway, here's her costumes
Electri-Cat
A brute of mine, supposed to be a girl in powerarmor. She was originally Elec/Elec, but was changed later to Energy/Elec and she looked better with big glowy pom-poms.
Here she is in her outfits
Annah
Half angel, half demon. This was the first character i made when i transfered to the EU servers, and was the character i first met Gonk and Psy and got introduced to the monkeys with. Because of that she holds a very special place in my heart.
And i'm also quite happy with how she looks.
Freya Fallout
My character in our tuesday all defender team. Me and Psygon made our characters in a 50/60's hero style (least she did, my attempts were not as good).
Misc cossies
Just a couple of costumes i like.
As you can see i have a small (or huge) fetish for catgirls. These are also nowhere near all of my chars, if i get an urge again later i will post the rest of em.

Are you mental Sapphic?? these are your best ones imho real flair for that "retro" look I love em ..especially the second from the left, nice mix of colours and effective use of blending with the chest piece and top chest design, blends in v. well. All in all nice work, shouldnt knock yourself mate
Plus I like the battledress for Ni, Raven, subtle use of the armour pieces, nice look
(still at work so cant post mine yet, curses!!! )

I'm thinking, skip the chunky boots. What's with you and chuncky boots, Sapphic? Seriously, chunky boots look good on huge model Tankers. That's about it.

Thank you, I like the Stealth set as the base and while Ni is a real Vanguard junkie, I didn't want to go too overboard on the heavy armour. She's dual-blades, and all that sharp, pointy ballet really doesn't go well with buckets of armour. So she protects her vital areas and has what are essentially small shields on her arms.

Although as I said I do like that cossie, the one thing I would change would be the boots, for a true retro look the folded boot option would fit the theme just right but again not to say this is a disassembly of your look sapphic, just my 2 cents, but its a damn good interpretation of the "golden" era imho.

Chunky boots look best if they have a big set of pants to go with them I find.
For instance, Armored pants or Tucked In set dont work as well with small boots because you look like you have pin legs
Also nice work Sapphic, I wanted to make a catgirl myself at some point but the choice of a belt or a tail is what keeps stopping me, I get a good costume and think 'actually this belt would go perfect here' and it ends up being saved for my next costume plan.
I was going to screengrab a whole load of my characters but it's really slow on my laptop so just done a couple for now. Will post some more later in the week when I get my desktop PC back up and running!
Psygon, my signature character.
Aveda Starling (meant to have a retro feel to her costumes)
Candy Cold (the kinda matching toon to Sapphic's Freya Fallout).
I've also got a totally out of date page on my website with quite a few of my characters available... Looks of some of the characters there have changed since I made that page tho!
Excellent work there Psy, love the "retro" style costumes, Sapphic was right you did nail it Especially loving the 50/60's style bob to complement the costume, very nicely done
(still at bloody work, damn I wanna post mine noooow!! )

13 50's...now I wouldn't mind that
Also have to complement you on this great costumes, I was never too good at making a heroine costume! (mostly because 95% of my characters are male...no, I'm not sexist...just I feel there's a lot more...as we might say...diversity...on a female character some of the costume pieces that look good on males look weird )
Following a post on the american forums, I think we need to show them that we are not inferior to there designing skills
So with that being said, screenshot your best costumes and upload them here.
Use print screen to screenshot your charecter and it is located in the screenshots folder of your CoH folder.
Il post mine underneath in a minute, just getting a decent angle
Say Cheese!
EDIT: almost left the american linky out
