Aye it was huge fun and everyone under the black & blue banner of UD enjoyed every minute of the near 6 hours of arena carnage.

I enjoyed every match I was in and watched. Also a big thank you to all The Horde peeps in attendance. I've already chatted with 3 of ya since and we had as much fun as you did. Its nice to see everyone having fun - and not a single bit of spiteful smack-talk even once!

So Horders - time for us to start arranging the next one

I'd like to quickly say thanks to all those of UD and The Horde that participated in last nights base raid! It was enormous fun and everyone involved had a great time. Great violence and sportsmanship is just a great thing to find - there truly is honour among thieves/murderers/masochists/sociopaths/Cylons

Can't wait for the next one!

Also tonight in SC is The King Of The Mountain PvP event at 9pm GMT. Lets hope lots of our new coaligned friends in The Horde can make it too.

I perosnally kite and tank with starscreamer. As he has perma holds on almost anything (AVs and Heroes with domi) and then when stacked sufficiently plough in for the melee attacks. Its also worth mentioning the dmg buff of domi is higher for melee attacks than ranged, only reason I hate the /fire melee (incinerate?) is that its a DoT that takes forever and is innaccurate. So my low doms are stuck on the kiting atm

Lots of people do that - I personally have always released only the finished issues of my comics as I'm just such a perfectionist lol That said, I do generally only do 1 issue at a time and plan the story out only about 50% and let the rest develop naturally. Mostly because due to player base changing, I had to rewrite my Darkbow arc 7 times!!!

Very nice cover design and I like the very simple role reversal of former Soviets turning to serving justice in the country of their former enemy. Would like to see the comics themselves when released.

If you fancy an unusual challenge thats rewarding beyond belief later on - gravity/thorns.

Superb aoes, great pet and a extremly diverse assault secondary. Was my 1st dominator and still the best of my 4 doms (Starscreamer himself - also my only lvl 50 dom). If ya want any advice on it - just say.

Surely thats the whole conceptual point of the inherents to bring something different to the table. If you do the change you mention you automatically nerf the dominator's concept. To whoever mentioned it: the reason doms got good buffs in PvP is because they have the lowest HP of any CoX AT, no defences and were found to be grossly underperforming (source?). Take any dom build to SC and I bet it won't be long before you die (its also so grossly imbalanced in the favour of heroes already [censored] would anyone want it more so?)

Also the dom and troller are both hard to solo generally (saying in descriptions of both even at character creation) - I always thought that was largely the whole point to be a small, frail char that requires careful thought and strategy to win rather than just hold and plough. If they messed around with the inherents of these ATs I'd probably stop playing both.

And no you can't have my domination either

We have now established a date for the biggest event in our history. The 1st ever UD Weekend Meet & CoV Party! Fri 22nd to Sun 24th February will be the greatest event of all with loads of UD members already confirmed they are coming and more and more are welcome. This will be taking place near Birmingham. For more details see us in-game or via our own forums.

The original meet in July last year of Graviton-X, Le Agent Provocateur, Wite and myself was huge fun - and this one's gonna eclipse it in a shroud of darkness!

I actually took Ghost Widow on Starscreamer and it was a superb decision! For starters he gets toxic res which is really useful later in the game. Plus Dark Consumption does damage (power sink doesn't) and has -acc, as does Dark Obliteration.

Also the Seer has other quirks in that she does nice damage at a very fast rate - plus they gave her subdue again so shes awesome. Plus she has team +perception and is more highly resistant as a pet. Oh and don't forget all the -rech. I would not say that is a weak list of things lol

Mu is great - but I hate the Mu themselves and that weakling Scirroco lol

Ok theres been a few goings on lately, Grav and Agent did some more base tweaks, the site has been updated with various new bits of info (and I assure you more will be in the galleries soon) and I got round to releasing the first of the next UDC comic Usurper Part One - Ascension (see associated Creative thread for additional details).

The UD Chronicles : USURPER - Part One - Ascension

With the recent completion of the Darkbow series after more than 6 months of work, I have now begun the next story arc to follow it. This takes place during the finale of Darkbow, but follows what the other persons involved were upto. It also tells the beginning of the origins of Ultimate Darkness (our SG) itself and how it was founded. There will be small tie-ins to the early works as well as I develop it.

The story is being told over many issues and will include storylines in the past, present and future all at once. Stay tuned as theres so many more characters debuting, a future attack on Agincourt, a battle with the heroes of The Hounds Of Love and quite possibly the end of the world.

I like it a lot! Nice to see that old fashioned 80s comic style being used again over the games engine. Not the method I chose, which is probably why I like it so much lol

I'd say if you want to go by theme, the closest would be Black Scorpion as his patron powers are all from the Mace weapon and web grenades and such would be in keeping with the overall.

Of course its more flexible for Starshrapnel my DB/elec as I will prob go for Scirroco for theme (and a decent ranged attack)

I would like to say well done for last nights awesome LRSF run. It was probably one of the single best runs I've ever done! Unbelievably fun!

Good job to Puff, Flames of Evil and our old friend .Chaos for helping the following UD warriors to victory: Master Honorius, Electro Wave, Uzzi, Nexus Com and The Starscreamer! Everyone proved they've got the stuff!

Ok time for me to chime in with my brutes - they are far from being PvP monsters or PvE gods but they are uber fun:

Starbarricade elec/invun 25
Starshrapnel dual blades/elec 20

If you want obscure quirky fun then I recommend both ^^

I agree with Mighty's post totally. As I've shaved the global recharge on my gravity/thorns way down, I slotted Thorny Darts with 2 of a def debuff set to get another dmg buff globally and that -res proc so I can throw in that attack between holds and ripper/impale/thorn barrage for a fairly hefty debuff which fits neatly into my tried and tested attack chains

Also for reference the chance for neg on Fling Thorns was such a good idea

mind/fire, mind/ice and ice/fire i'd say should on paper give you some serious damage output, but you will prob have to slightly nerf yourself control wise to get superb damage. I personally have always said a dom's true power is the controls as you can grind a whole fight to a halt once you've got to the late 20s and just exterminate everything. I personally am a massive fan of thorns tho due to its superb all round attack powers (aim, ripper, thorn barrage and impale are just so fun ^^)

Gravity is just so very superb and is loaded with hard control.

The single best piece of advice I can give is this: your controls are your power. Do NOT skimp on slotting them. As a certain Nexus Com *should* know by now is that higher up the dominator is horrific. The best powers in the whole set being Gravity Distortion and Wormhole. Once slotted well these 2 powers mean you can make a mockery of groups and bosses alike by worming them and then stacking the hold on the boss. Being /psi, you will have iffy dmg output for a while til the mid 20s - but once you have drain psyche and PSW you will just be laughing.

Catch me when I'm on later mate and I can advise ya heavily on doms, gravity control and Starscreamer's build overall (and as it happens my new dom Starmenasor is grav/psi as well)
