/Seconded!

Always been a fan of your distinctive style - its moody and atmospheric and hence lends itself really, really well to story telling so I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been itching to see a comic from you

There aren't many comics around here, and most utilise the game engine.

Some fine work has been produced that way, but on a personal level I find not having the limitations of CoX's graphics gives the freedom to let the creative imagination really go to town

Anyway, I'm painfully aware of how time consuming it can be to put these things together - but rest assured, we're here waiting to see where your story takes us!

thanks very much LR, your feedback is always appreciated, as is everyone elses. page four is indeed on it's way, and will be finished later today i suspect, time permitting.

on a personal note, i'm a big fan of the comics here that others are producing using the game engine. the creativity needed to get around the engine's limitations is always impressive, and not everyone is confident enough in their drawing to undertake a hand drawn comic.

Definitely agree there - seen some good things posted right here on Creative board. In the dim and distant past I was inspired to try out some screenshot comic work myself ...and failed miserably

As you rightly say the best examples of screenshot comics here have shown great skill and ingenuity with the game-engine and probably some clever demo editing skills too ...things I am sadly lacking

Looking forward to that next page - cheers!

I like it a lot! Nice to see that old fashioned 80s comic style being used again over the games engine. Not the method I chose, which is probably why I like it so much lol

Keep it coming dude.

I agree, but lack of confidence has never stopped me (since i've never had any anyway) and my results are terrible (see: the arrival of major europe)...
so I definatly like your style, it looks great, it lends itself well to the story and of course it seems familiar but different. still eagerly awaiting the next page

Amazing work!! Really love the artistic style that runs through... it's looks like it should be hanging up in a gallery somewhere.

I'm just itching to see the next part now!

:^O!!!!! Great work yet again You don't happen to give lessons do you?

thanks again. Jenbot, all i do is quickly mock up the page in my notebook perhaps with more than one page, depending on the pages complexity, then draw it in. nothing fancy, just the mouse, using an old version of illustrator (CS1)

...and page 7.

many thanks to Mission Control of the New Heroes Union for permission to use her character, it's much appreciated.

please feel free to offer advice / criticism. at the moment i'm spending between 2 - 2 1/2 hours per page, which is why some of the drawing is a little 'wobbly', but i kind of like the looseness, and can't really justify spending much more time on it.

Then by all means don't! The comic has a great flow and you tell a good story. That's all that matters really.

Some of the greatest comics I've read are "Doom Patrol" and "Sandman". Quite a few of those issues have been "wobbly" drawn but they didn't seem any worse than the ones that were "picture perfect". Quite the opposite sometimes.

Your loose style is very fitting with the story you're telling so stick with it!

*munches popcorn and cheers as the tank sails through the air*

I love what you've done so far, and look forward to seeing much more. It's also great to see Mission's name up in lights too, she's been proudly telling me about it often.

Will the comic blossom onwards? I want to see how it ends. *starts candle-lit vigil outside the Dr's door*
