Considering the hand positions? I think if they were going to make wrist mounted laser gauntlets, they'd have to re-animate it. At which point, eye beams for the same set should be the same argument in terms of work they'd end up having to do for the new version.

I'd be happy to have the option of sheathes that are permanently full or empty based on costume. Sheathes that respond to draw would be nice. But, I don't expect for them to give us a sheathing option.
Purely cosmetic would be perfectly fine for me. Plus, it'd allow us to add weapons to characters that don't actually use them. This applies to shields strapped on character backs too.
If at any point in the future they manage to add animations to them it'd be nice. But, if the option is to have them or not, based solely on if they animate or not? I say roll on cosmetic full and empty sheathes every time. -
I have no idea either, I just want the option to have things shooting out of my face region, other than psy and sonic.

Quote:It's only one attack though, I need a plethora of eyebeams. Heck, I'd be happy if they just let us choose eyes/head for all blast powers. That'd be more than enough for me.If you only want to blast eye beams, take that one attack and don't use anything else. There isn't a lot of animation variation, at least not enough to devote an entire powerset to it.
Quote:Batman is easy: Street Justice/Willpower/Weapon Mastery. Punches, kicks to the gut, *natural* defenses, and you get the throwing stuff! Problem solved. -
There were two? I only saw the one that people keep asking about.

I wonder if we won't see a reappearance of the Trolls' cosmic aura, Battle Fury and Dark Matter at the same time(sidenote: I want to use it too) from SSA2 part 2 with the Battalion.

Males need the Bicycle/Athletics shorts too.

Quote:Ooh, back to weaponized armor idea... You could use the new pop-up bar for it so that you'd control the armor bits directly. You could just replace the T7 in Bots with Combine. You and your pets become a Voltron with you as the brain.
That seems like it might be less effective though, seeing as you have to wait until the powers cycle up and whatever as opposed to just letting the pets auto attack whatever you tell them to... Hmmm... -
Ooh... Have you tried using the ladies steampunk jacket for your Saber? Doesn't either that or the cowboy pack come with poofy shoulders?

Quote:Just one cyclone? I think 2 or 3 would be more impressive. On the note of a potential "Airblast" set, I'm really hoping for it's nuke to be some kind of cyclone that whirls enemies around as it pulls them in closer to the blaster and then shoots them all above his head as they land around him like so much dust in the wind.
Maybe irritating for melee characters as their enemy is suddenly and violently torn away from them, but damn if it wouldn't look cool. -
Quote:I'd make it a Mastermind set.Iron Man-esque weaponized suits. (Although that might be hard to make into a power set in addition to being a potential TM violation waiting to happen.)
Wait! Hear me out.
Each pet would be a piece of armor that gets added to your character. So, it'd be all laser turrets and missile bays attached to shoulders, back and your feet.
That'd differentiate it from Iron Man, I'd think. Yeah, I have no idea how this would work for PVP. -
I think the one thing that stands out to me that was part of one of the surveys, is Forcefield armor. In my mind, it'd use a sleeker body coverings, so like Bio Armor, only instead of carapaces, it'd be sleek glowing armor bits/pieces, like the Valkyrie costume set, as opposed to a series of giant bubbles. Now, the self heal in the set would instead be a self-absorb boost. Also, I'd go with chest piece first, boots for the mez type toggle and gloves for some sort of boost to damage(smashing would probably make the most sense)
Air as a blast/assault or control would be keen too. -
Quote:The problem is, that they're a level 30s villain group. They're plenty relevant when you're at those levels, but you do your best to uncover their plots and take them down a peg or six. Honestly, I'd promote the Crey as a bigger deal, in so far as they're the big corporate villain type group and it seems a shame that they vanish about around 41. That's a bit of a thematic loss.Crey needs a massive revamp in zone presence. In low level zones they need to be allies and and have presence as a corporation responsible for bringing Paragon into the future. Then you go through the mid level arcs, seeing them as allies that don't actually care about saving lives or helping people. Then in the Brickstown range you start uncovering their plots, and around here is when, in less populated areas, they con as yellow. And in zones like Crey's Folly, they only con yellow or red, depending on how close you are to protected areas. And then high level content they're straight up bad guys and you know full well they're ruthless and only want power, money, and control.
Doubt it'll ever happen, though. I can't remember the last time Crey was relevant.
Post 40, have them trying to scrub up their image. Introduce a high level arm of unmasked multi colored Protectors(See? How open we are?) and some new Crey tech design that has some design similarities to the old school Crey design. Granted, they'd still be up to old tricks, but maybe add some nuance in there now, some honest to goodness decent heroes trying to do right, just misguided, as well as the out and out bad eggs.
If for nothing else, it'd give us more spandex(as well as tech) types to fight compared to CoT Cultists and Carnies, and drab Council and ever-present annoying Malta to fuss about with. -
Quote:I have nothing against fighting Angelic types, but please let the Battalion be some legit supervillain types that are not the angel guys we've seen scattered about. No thanks. I'd rather fight some legit supervillains than make this into a war between heaven and hell, or heaven and aliens, or heaven and whatever else.
Mostly because we've already seen them. Y'know? Oh look, another angel.
Let's hope for something new for the Battalion. -
Quote:Balls!Ideas for weapon customization: Knife, Ring, Metal Fan, Shuriken, Boomerang, Buzz Saw, Hubcap, Needles, Hatchets
*Thanks to Leo_G for the suggestions of Needles and Tomahawks (which I called Hatchets to cover all various looks like a Tomahawk or Woodcutter's hand axe).
A simple ball-type item would be a great multi-use sort of thing. You could make a clown with a wide range of rainbow colored balls. They could get a glow-type coat and be all neon thrown weapons for a video game hero type guy(a la Tron). High tech could be using special mini-grenades.
Especially, if this got some sort of swap ammo mechanic, the assorted effects types would be great add-ons to a simple ball type weapon. -
Quote:Would be nice to have a few more flying patrols of Longbow Eagles scattered throughout the heroside zones too.Ever since I10 I've wanted an Arachnos/Longbow invasion event in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles respectively.
Ooh... (non-targetable helpful, or maybe yellow reticle neutral?) Paragon Protectors pre-30s patrols(flying or not), so they don't come out of nowhere and would lend some credence to Crey appearing to be not evil. -

Quote:What about the swim under arches in those Cimeroran maps? Only default us to fly positions instead of swimming ones? Can you plant traps and use earth control while swimming under the arches?Well the obvious way to simulate an area with no gravity would be to have a zone-wide power that buffs flight speed while providing a very heavy run speed and jump speed/height debuff with no visuals. That way characters can maneuver freely in three dimensions without needing flight but won't be able to cheat and run around on the "ground". Of course such a zone would really, really suck for certain powersets such as Traps and Earth Control.
Of course if you wanted maximum realism you could just apply the debuff portions of it and make characters buy a Raptor Pack.

Quote:I feel like it should have a Phantom Army type summon of just basic ninjas.Hmmm... Lemme try to draft something up.
(1) Sleep dart - ranged ST Sleep, lethal/toxic damage. (if possible, make it do the toxic damage can tick over time without waking a foe up)
(1) Paralytic Dart - Ranged ST Hold, lethal/toxic damage
(2) Slit throat - Melee, ST, Lethal/Special damage, Special Damage (Deals Extreme damage against held/sleeping/stunned targets moderate damage otherwise. This will probably be a BIG and important thing for the powerset)
(6) Knockout Gas Bomb - ranged Targetted AoE, Sleep
(8) Hallucinogens - Ranged Cone foe: Confuse -ToHit
(12) Smoke Bomb - PBAoE Self and Ally: Stealth, Foe: Placate
(18) Noxious gas trap - ranged Location AoE, Foe: Hold, -tohit, -perception (summons a pet to explode when enemies get neat like poison trap)
(26) ???
(32) Summon Kunoichi - Summons Kunoichi pet with Ki Push, Storm Kick, Shuriken, Quick Strike, and Phalanx Fighting.
That's all I got. -
Quote:Works for me too.I'll jump in with this side. I've been here since pre-launch. Period of exclusivity, period of For Sale, then acquirable in game.
That works perfectly fine by me.
Also, I'd like to see the "power aura" that the Trolls have in the latest SSA. So far, we have Battle fury and Dark Matter, but they're two separate auras. Plus, Atta got a fancy glow eyes aura, on top of the "power aura".
The best I can kludge together is either fire(I think one style of fire works better than the other, but I can't remember which is which offhand) armor with dark matter or regen with the toggle running. -
Quote:Heck, I would even accept if you could not use it in mission maps.Look, frankly, I'd say I'd just be happy with a flying car without rocket launchers or any other gadgets, it's a freakin' flying car that will likely consume only 0.02 end per-second.
So what we'd have is a car that can subvert normal traffic congestion issues and have infinite fuel capacity.
That's more than "super" enough for me for a super-mobile. -
