  1. I hope this guy is kidding. What constant down time? Tuesday mornings?

People don't like playing with bugs, even simple ones. I know people who would happily give up a 8 hour downtime to fix that black bar issue there was in i20 (Where teammates showed up on team bar as black.) It cant' be helped and they are working on it. I can't even imagine how stupid someone would have to be to say "Oh, I started playing the game for free, but if I can't play Tuesday mornings I am bailing."
  2. Meh, just slows it down a little bit. Still easy to level. I am much more annoyed with the people who keep whining that there are farmers in AE.

    Restart AE

I am also okay with this, as long as I get to mark my own arc as one not to be deleted. I like what I have done with it and I don't want it to die.

    Internet speeds?

Cool beans. Just goes to show how much I know about internet speeds. :P Thanks a bunch guys, you saved me $40. I can't really download stuff anyway in the dorms, and since streaming will work just fine on the lowest, that is what I will go with. Thanks!

    Internet speeds?

(Side note: not sure if this belongs in this forum, but it is a question I need answered to play)
I am moving up to college again in a week, and they changed their possible internet plans from one single plan to a tiered service. Problem is, I don't know much about what I would need to stay away from a terrible connection.

-Option 1: 1Mbs (I assume this just will not work)
    -Option 2: 10Mbps
    -Option 3: 15Mbps

I was going to go with option 2, will I have a problem with speeds while on CoH?

  7. Yeah, there are plenty of snakes, but you shouldn't have to worry, as they aren't deleting the snakes. They are just redoing Mercy. It needs it, badly. Everyone should know of how much it sucked when you had to constantly run a mile through that island just between missions.
  8. On one hand, I was glad there was no Tar Patch. On the other hand, I really, really wanted it. :P Tar Patch + Blaster's Rain of Fire = Dead things.
  9. Sounds good to me. I want to make a Stalker, but I have never really felt that they could lend much to the team. Idea number three sounds fantastic for that reason.

    SS/SD advice

Yeah I am glancing over it and using it as a guide, but it was made two years ago, so I was unsure if it was all still relevant.

    SS/SD advice

    No one has any idea?
  12. Really looking forward to rolling a WM/EA scrapper.
  13. Oh I see where I went wrong. The first post says not to post guides in the sticky, so I assumed people weren't posting guides in the sticky. I should of known people wouldn't listen. :P Thanks though.

This thread is for posting Guide or FAQ links for Blasters. Please create your guides in the "PlayerGuides" forum (since posts in that section do not roll off) and link the thread here. Also, do not post your guide in this thread - only the link to your guide. For non-Blaster guides, check the master list of all Guides in the Guide to Guides.
This is from the blaster sticky you just mentioned. It was updated on August 2009, not in 2011. None of the guides go past Issue 14.
  15. Nothing to really say besides "I support." I hate getting to level 40 and realizing you missed a AP safeguard badge. :\

I can't recall who it was of the OCR team that players used to contact with updates to the First Post in the thread, but it was players that maintained the guides and created the updated Guide and FAQ information for the first post.

I was thinking that each AT had someone specific that was working on keeping the guides for that AT organized and keeping the sticky information updated, but it's possible that they lost interest in doing that, don't play anymore, or simply aren't sure who to contact anymore.
Yeah, it looks like all the Stickied guides in the AT forums were held by CuppaJo. But I believe CuppaJo moved on to be the head community manager of Tabula Rasa or something, and when that game closed down, I am not sure what CuppaJo went to do. Their stickies were last updated in late 2009.

    SS/SD advice

I've been playing for years, and never really messed with IOs. However, I have been having a lot of fun on my SS/SD Brute and was probably going to actually work on IOing him out at 50, though I wasn't planning on purping him out or anything. The problem is, I've never slotted IOs in anyone, so does anyone have any advice/builds? (I am on a mac, so if you do post a build, don't just put the link please, MIDS doesn't work on mac. D
  18. Yeah, the most recent I saw on a Guide on Cuppa's guide sticky was from i15 or something.
  19. I think that it would be awesome if someone took over CuppaJo's "Guides" stickies on the archetype forums. They are all a little outdated, and I think it would be lovely if some of the more recent ones could get on there now. :P

Edit: To specify, Under each of the AT's forums, there is a stickied post by CuppaJo that has a collection of guides for the AT's powersets. They haven't been updated since late 2009.
  20. Thanks! My last tanker I actually focused on was before Gauntlet, so I figured I might as well ask.
  21. I just got back from a year long break from COH, and the last Tanker I made a long time ago. That being said, I was considering making a new Tanker, but I had a question about Gauntlet. I am considering a INV/SS tanker, but I really like watching all the bad guys just punch my character. From what I understand about Gauntlet, my AoEs will taunt everyone and my ST attacks get up to four. Will SS fulfill my desire to get punched in the face a lot, or should I go to something with more AoE?

Second question, I am only keeping my WP/Axe tanker because he has the Rikti sword at level 9, Is it feasible to go after the Watchman badge at a lower level still, or is it mostly a higher level thing (Haven't seen Rikti invasions)? Wanted to get it for my soon to be Axe scrapper.
  22. I am not a huge fan of the idea. Mostly because of when I think of a tank, I think of a guy who takes hits, not a guy who dodges everything. Not saying it is a stupid idea, just not my cup of tea. :P

I didn't even know that they removed the damage bonus until now. Looks like I am not even going to bother with my new dominator any time soon. I have a level 50 Mind/Thorn I loved to play, but domination now seems "meh" to me. Especially since my new dominator is a Elec/Earth. From what I can understand, Elec/ is one of the primaries that benefit the least.
  24. "No...No clowns." -Positron. :P

That being said, I still want a Clown summoning MM.
  25. Fine, as long as the Cape Radio gets one too.

I personally have never heard of the Tanker Tuesday, and I have been here since Sept of '04...
