Bubble's build sure gets his money's worth out of those IO's. The LoTG's are the only really expensive IO and those can be had pretty easily with Amerits. I was going with a capped ranged build i will post but seeing how easily it is to cap S/L with Fog and scorp shield i might have to go that route. What would you guys rather have, Expensive capped Ranged Def or Cheap capped S/L with better slotted powers lol??? I have never tried this build out before as i was waiting for I19 but was going to try to beat the Nuke and FoN crashes with Heat loss. Oh yeah, Tux i think you posted the wrong build, the one that loaded for me wasn't capped to anything.

I always considered Blappers to be /NRG and /Elec because they had three massive melee attacks but more so, any blaster that played in melee range using all the PBAoE and melee attacks he had at his disposal. And with set bonuses now, you can make blasters pretty survivable.

I run a spines/fire and put Oblit's in my Damage toggles. It's murder on your end bar so if you go that route make sure you slot for as much end recovery as you can squeeze in also.

Or was the basic advice I got in chat last night of Fire Ball + Drain Psyche + Psychic Shockwave (plus the unstated Concentration, Aim, Flares, Fire Blast and Subdual, all of which are pretty much mandatory no matter what Blaster combo you do, when there's an equivalent) pretty much all there is to it with most of the rest being fluff that's there mostly 'cos you HAVE to choose powers?
It all depends on how you want to play him, I like to play in melee range and Drain Psyche and PSW being PBAoE works well with that. I toggle Fire breath out of range then SS into the middle of the spawn so the amimation goes off in and when it finishes i can fire off DP/fireball/PSW. If you wanted to play at range or Hover, You have access to a lot of cone powers and now an AoE immob. So you could fire off an Immob, Firebreath//Fireball/Psi scream/Epic cone. Maybe work in RoF before the chain if you find mobs are still standing after that AoE barrage. Drain Psyche and PSW become useless if you play this way. Or you could mix melee and range and bounce back and forth using a combo of cones and PBAoE's. Decide how you are going to use your Fire/MM and build him around that playstyle, thats how i would decide what powers to skip. P.S. world of confusion is a waste of end and is only used as a set mule for most people. -
Here is what i came up with for my main, he is a fire/fire blaster. This build has capped S/L defense, ~35% melee defense, I'm pretty sure capped Hit Points, (if im reading mids right) 102.5 global recharge from sets, and Acrobatics. I left out the damage aura's, RoF and Fire breath this time because Fireball, FSC and Burn is all the AoE i need. I finally get an AoE immob and i dont take RoF, go figure. I wanted Flares for when im mezzed but cut it for maneuvers and used the slots to put Kinetic combat in brawl. My ST attack chain will cycle Fire blast, Fire sword, and Blaze. Feel free to point out where i went wrong, i posted this for that reason, and maybe to give other fire/fire's some ideas when they need to respec for I19.

i remember hitting the key twice helped. But i havent used SB binds in a long time. Now i hover the team window with my mouse and select a member then hit Mouse button 4 for SB and 5 for ID.

I love anything AoE, My favorite characters are my Fire/Fire blaster, Spines/fire scrapper, Fire/kin corrupter, and Fire/dark corrupter, so i'd definitely like this set 8-)

How are you planning for the siphon speed PBAoE power to work, Small recharge and movement buff per enemy hit? A full siphon speed per enemy would be insane lol

You need to become a rogue then a villain so you can run the Villain patron arc to unlock those powers. Villains can just respec right into the hero epic powers, for once villains dont get the shaft. -
Thank you for the slotting help Eislor, I totally updated fireball, RoF and Blaze. As for the single target frankenslotting, Im not to high on +regen but the extra HP's sounds like a great idea, and the powers will be better slotted then if they just had 6 thunderstrikes. Plus a chance to hold with every ST attack sounds interseting. I tried three thunderstirkes triples, the devastation proc, Dev quad and dev triple. I think its a great substitute to more of the expensive sets.

Here is a Issue 19 Fire/Dark/Power Build i have been toying with. It has ~94% global recharge, 37% ranged defense, 51% resistance to S/L, and 202% recovery. I have a 50 Fire/dark but i havent touched him in over a year so this build is just hypothetical as i havent tried it in game. I went with Power Build up as it doesnt need to hit 10 targets for the 68% damage buff but its trade off is it takes twice as long to recharge and isnt an attack. I took conserve power also since i skipped inferno and do not need to fill my end bar after a crash. Ill post two more data chunks i am thinking of making instead. One has dark mastery with the two buffs and oppresive gloom, and the other uses power mastery again but takes Total Focus instead of Temp Invul. Both have no S/L resistence but have "cooler" powers to play with after lvl 41 lol. Here ya go, feel free to point out any flaws you see.

This is true, you can use these Vet powers if you have unlocked them to keep yourself active. You get one at 12 months, two at 33 months and 3 at 54 months. Your out if you just hopped on when GR launched lol

At first i thought they changed rage in the last year, turns out they didnt and this is false. You still have to sit around for 10 seconds doing -9999% damage every 70-100 seconds depending on how much recharge your build has.

I've been away for a year but i remember double stacking rage giving me double the rage crash. Which i hated. Unless i am missing the intent of this build.

Ty! i forgot to look at the totals after i switched the damage aura slotting i have the auras slotted two different ways. -
Here is a Spines/fire build i came up with the help of clawsandeffect and the Leandro patch for mids. So many options with three more power choices. Im still not sure about skipping a travel for ninja run but ill try it. I have two ways to slot the damage aura's. One is with Oblits for the defense and recharge, and one is 3 damage/end IO's and 3 procs. Im leaning toward the oblits atm. So here ya go, tear it down, call it a fail, say its way to expensive, or help me make it better, your call! lol
