Quote:Can't believe you are releasing these without at least including spaying/neutering.The dog disappears when you get outside of 200 feet away from it and will subsequently reappear when you get back to within 200 feet (if you're verticle). It has no collision, does not have fleas, has had all of it's shots and is housebroken.
No promises on if it does the butt scoot or not.
After all, for 500 points it should be fixed.
Why would anyone pay that much for a pet that has to be fixed at a later date.
-
Quote:Wait until you see how much they want to charge for spaying/neutering.Hmm, just been to the local Dog pound and got myself a German shepherd, all I had to pay was £5 for his injections, come on-line today and they want more for a virtual version, I can see next week the store offering a Dog Bowl for 250 points, week after 650 for a leash, and I'm still shuddering at the thought of what they would charge for a Kennel.

Quote:They used to be a bit better. They got the reward scale reduced and the Spit with -Fly at the same time.hydra are still only like 0.6 reward scale anyway so even with the attack still kind of pointless to fight
I got lots of easy XP in Beta hover sniping the Hydra until they added this. Between the Spit and the reduction, they weren't worth it anymore to me.
I still remember seeing groups forming Hydra parties in Perez Park during Beta and the early days of the game. It was ok, but I didn't find it fun. -
Prisoners XP and INF were lowered on purpose due to their extremely limited attacks and range.
They were a Hover Blasters dream during Beta. Lots of reward, no risk.
Rather than add some dangerous long range attacks (like they did with the Hydra in Perez Park when they added the long range Spit that has -Fly in it) they simply lowered the rewards. -
Quote:PM one of the Community Team members with this information and your driver version.Still gettting this error even after today's patch. My drivers worked fine please fix this!
Since the fix was to prevent a crash caused with specific driver versions, your driver version may be one of the ones that is being excluded due to that crash. -

Nope, Issue 1. I double-checked this morning to make sure. For once old age didn't play games with my memory.
-
Quote:You are correct, it was Contaminated, not Infected.I think you have all of them listed except that you got the Infected (the guys in Mercy Island) mixed up with the Contaminated (the guys in the old tutorial.)
Didn't miss them at all. As Rajani Isa correctly pointed out, Carnival of Shadows, Malta and Knives of Artemis were all added in Issue 1. Also, Praetorians were added in Issue 1 as were the enemy groups encountered through Portal Corp missions. -
Just off the top of my head, these are what I can remember from Launch.
Infected
5th Column
Clockwork
Hellions
Skuls
Vahzilok
Lost
Circle of Thorns
Hydra
Tsoo
Outcasts
Trolls
Warriors
Freakshow
Banished Pantheon
Family
Devouring Earth
Sky Raiders
Crey
Rikti
Prisoners
Nemesis
Hopefully, if I've left something off the list someone will be gentle in reminding me what I forgot. -
Trolls and Clockwork were both in the game at launch.

Quote:Generate, yes. Earn, no. Two very different things.Okay. Lowbies CAN generate alignment merits at Fort Trident (and thus, should be able to do so red-side too).
Quote:
As such, it's majorly suck-tastic that people on low-level characters who are able to run the SSA missions aren't being given an option to take a reward that IS otherwise available to them.
Would it make you happier if they made it so that characters under level 20 cannot generate the Alignment merits so that they are completely consistent with the lowest level you can somehow get them?
I didn't think so. -
If you have individual setups for each toon, you can instead use /wdwsavefile filename to save the file (substituting the name of the file for filename). Then you would use /wdwloadfile filename to load that file.
For example, I have Texas Justice and Texas Toast using different window setups. For Texas Justice I'd type /wdwsavefile wdwJustice.txt to save the settings and /wdwloadfile wdwJustice.txt to load those settings. For Texas Toast I'd type /wdwsavefile wdwToast.txt to save the settings and /wdwloadfile wdwToast.txt to load them. Since these two are the only ones to use a different setup, I can then use /wdwsave on one of my other characters to save those settings and then /wdwload on any of those others to load them. -
Quote:The testing I've done so far shows that they cannot post in Player Questions, City Life or the Suggestions and Ideas sections.right now i believe non VIPs can only post in the player questions and the gameplay bugs/tech issues subforums
non VIPs also cannot have avatars
other than that i really dont know
I haven't tested all of the other forum sections. The only others I'm likely to specifically test are the server specific forums and possibly the Discussion threads related to Announcements. -
Quote:No need for me to make a similar thread.Maybe they can just shuffle this thread over to Suggestions? Or Mr. Texas if you felt like making a similar thread on Vet Premies behalf's, that'd be keen. (or anyone else reading this)
I never even posted that much, but, knowing I can't is like an itch I can feel but can't scratch.
I made my thoughts on the matter known, as did several other forum posters when the plans for Freedom were announced.
I believe it was due to subscribers asking for non-VIP's to be allowed limited posting priveleges that led Zwaddenbushburner to look into trying to find an alternative to the original plans.
I also feel strongly that if anyone repeatedly breaks the forum rules, be they VIP or non-VIP, their posting priveleges should be revoked.
This would include posts made in forum sections that they aren't relevant to. For any reason. -
Please note that the original post has been updated with the current Known Issues.
-
Our Community Manager has told us they are working on trying some things to allow limited posting priveleges by non-VIP's but that they don't have everything worked out yet on what they are going to be able to do.
He said they will make an announcement when the plans are finalized.
As far as my testing shows, Gameplay / Technical Issues & Bugs is currently the only forum section where posting by non-VIP accounts is allowed. I'd suspect that the reason for this is so that people needing help can get the help they need from the community here.
It's possible that if people start posting anything they want here since it's the only place they can post that they may remove the ability to post here as well.
I've seen several threads moved from here since they weren't posts appropriate for this forum section. -
Yes. Copy the files from the other computer, start the installation on this computer and let it run for a minute or so. Stop the installation and paste the files from the other computer in the installation directory.
At this point, start the NCLaucher and right-click the City of Heroes listing then select Repair (Consistency Check).
As for the free space, I'm not talking about strictly the swap file. Several Windows functions start getting buggy or refuse to run correctly with disk space below around 20%. Most of those functions were coded to look at the % of free space instead of the actual amount of free space, and when it gets low they start having issues. -
Quote:According to Moderator 05 it's 30 days, not 90.I think a thread must be dead at least 3 months before it's necromancy. This one is fine.

I thought we were still in October...man this year is missing months somewhere... -
The 11.6 drivers were problematic, as were 11.5 through 11.8 versions. I've not heard enough results of testing on the 11.10 drivers, so 11.9 is likely the best solution.
Update to the 11.9 drivers using the standard uninstall current drivers, run Driver Sweeper in Safe Mode, reboot into normal mode and install 11.9 drivers. -
Per the most recently updated System Requirements, the minimum OS requirements are Windows XP w/ Service Pack 3 installed.
The first step in trying to correct your problems would be to install Service Pack 3. I'd also recommend installing any security or critical updates that are available as well.
Another thing would be to free up some disk space. Three of your drives report less than 5% free disk space on each. Windows gets a bit wonky at times when drive spaces reach those low levels. -
GPU and Tex were never officially introduced. As a matter of fact, when asked about their positions and what their status was we were given vague answers at the time.
Neither of them had PM's enabled from the day they appeared. I know, I looked.
I've not seen a post from GPU in a while, but that doesn't mean they aren't still around.
And to be honest, I've seen Tex ask people to go back to an older driver when there were known issues with newer drivers.
If Tex is at the Pummit and is willing to let me know who they are, they'll be invited to join our Meet & Eat groups.
If nothing else, I'll buy Tex a beverage of their choice if they are at the Pummit. -
Quote:The people that design and build the sets, the ones that decorate the sets, and the ones in charge of clothing are seldom part of the writing team. Similarly, those that write the plots and dialog generally don't have much to do with decorating the sets or costuming. However, I have never heard the characters refer to the game itself, or be portrayed as playing it.
Even though the 800-lb. gorilla has been mentioned several times as a game that they play (and is occasionally part of the plot of an episode) I have yet to see any boxes, merchandise, posters, clothing, etc related to that game.

For that to work, the players would have needed to have SAVED their window configuration previously.

Quote:Wal-Mart obviously isn't live.
Quote:I'm not saying everythings peachy keen, because there's certainly some serious issues, however it's not quite Rollback severity.
The word Rollback has very, very serious implications when you're talking about a live product.
Does that mean Wal-Mart is Memorex?
