Quote:Indeed. To me, "easily softcappable" means no Fighting pool and no IO set bonuses.Another major difference between the two is their "out of the box" performance. Realistically, if you're posing this question on the forums basic IO budgeting probably isn't a major consideration for you, but for some people (like seasonal subscribers that don't have the IO system permanently unlocked) it's a perfectly valid consideration.

I seem to recall a TV series, but I'm not sure about an American movie of that nature.

Quote:Too much KD and not enough KU.FootStomp melee!
1) Low dmg FootStomp, 4 sec rech, +22.5% def to all so you can softcap easily with two applications
2) The normal boring FootStomp we have
3) Rage
4) Ranged Footstomp, like Fault but with 80' range and normal FootStomp damage and radius, the set can't have just PbAoEs after all
5) Taunt, but since your taunt is a FootStomp, mobs get KD'ed when you do
6) Stygian FootStomp, works on alive and dead enemies to replenish your health and end, and of course alive mobs fall down too, the set is kinda end heavy after all
7) Mag 4 Stun FootStomp (the utility power), this is the skippable one because it does no damage and stun is annoying sometimes with wandering mobs
8) FootStomp on the face, this is the extreme dmg ST attack with KD (because KB sucks) and a mag 4 stun (sorry, hold isn't thematic)
9) Teleporting ZOMGDMG FootStomp mininuke with 30' radius -

It's not a spaceship, it's an interdimensionally fractalised quantum planetoid viewed through a brief tesseractic flux.

So, Propel might actually damage living enemies instead of slamming spectacularly into dead/unconscious enemies? Neat.

Quote:I think that the issue is only confused because "literally" is so often used figuratively in statements of hyperbole.Sidebar: I'm not sure I'm convinced that "literally" means "figuratively" now. I think "literally" has a meaning that is impossible to define but instantly clear to most native speakers of English. It means something like "so intensely that it could almost be real," but I'm not sure that definition covers it either. I don't feel any of the online dictionaries I looked at really cover the full meaning of the word or its usual context. I know it's dangerous business disagreeing with the dictionaries in general, but in the case of this word I think its too contentious to call.

As is Bulletproof Monk, I believe.
I liked it. But it is definitely super-cheesy and not entirely finished.

Also, despite decrying TV movies and such, I recommend the two Trickster 'movies' on DVD from the Flash series. I'd say they're better than some of the actual movies on the list. But, then, so are many of the straight-to-DVD DC animated features. -
Quote:I still wish they would have made one of those ruffly/layered dress bottoms for the skirt section to go with the outfit. It makes the female side of the set seem half-***** to me, regardless of any problems with it not really being a 'gunslinger' set.My concern is for how the creators may envision some of these outfits. Choose the female "Gunslinger" set and you find a woman wearing bikini bottoms under the bustle and train (or buttcape, if you prefer). Why no skirt? Long Pleated looks fine, albeit with some clipping of the train. Mini Pleated is still an improvement over just the bikini, and still shows all the "Gunslinger" parts.

Too early to judge, but the trailer makes the movie look better than I was expecting, at least. If they can keep the slapstick feeling more natural than forced, it may turn out pretty good.

Quote:That's okay, the word "drop-kick" has evolved to mean "give wet sloppy kisses" and we're sure that you'll embrace this change.ITT: Another self-righteous putz who uses obscure, ancient meanings of words instead of embracing the ever-evolving English language like everyone else does.
I'm sorry, but I really hate your kind. You come off as such a snooty ***** it makes me want to drop-kick you.

I like superheroes. And I like creating characters. This game gives a tiny morsel of the first with a somewhat weighty dose of the latter. Also, it's on top of the tiny pile of superhero-games-with-character-creation. If someone else ever manages to do it better, I'll move on. I'm betting this game will shut down without a worthy successor ever popping up.

Purchased the set a few hours ago. When I first saw the set on beta I thought I'd want to make a Brute, but I found I didn't like TW with Fury (in the early levels, at least). So I'll probably be going with a Tanker when I get around to it. I'm mired in Skyrim right now, though, and will likely be stuck in it for awhile yet.

I'm told I don't like anything.

But seriously, the only thing I haven't really liked about Freedom (aside from a few point prices here and there) is the Tier 9 exclusive costume pieces that have to be purchased with three tokens. Not least of which because I have to waste tokens on stuff I don't want before I can even spend tokens on those costumes. I'd rather that section were separate from the tier tree, being a 'VIP Bonus Section' that VIPs can spend tokens on. Of course, going forward this will be a moot point for me as I just filled in Tier 8 completely.
Looking ahead, I dislike the CCG-esque Super Packs in principle. However, the only thing I'm all that interested in that I've heard was going into them are the costume pieces. I'm not a gambler, and I will not buy these packs even if you lock exclusive costume pieces in them. Of course, if you wanted to add value to my VIP subscription by giving me one of these packs for free each month I wouldn't complain about it.
As for what I like - new stuff coming out with more regularity, even if it's not necessarily stuff I want. If nothing else, it makes the game feel a bit less stagnant. -
I'm for more options, whatever they may be. However, I don't really consider the halloween pack we got to be "comic relief". To me, the Think Tank piece isn't funny, it's awesome! The fish-man pieces, despite being a woefully incomplete set, were also awesome. The snake hair *would* have been awesome if it were animated.
Now, a giant anime piko-hammer for Titan Weapons would be hilarious... and I'd snatch it up in a second. Less than a second if it squeaked when hitting things. -
I think they provide a good variety of costuming, even if I don't necessarily like all of it.
That said, as someone who also likes 'cheesecake', I would like more pieces with well-defined cleavage. Sometimes I find myself gravitating towards the witch top just for that reason. -

Dammit, the reason Cain didn't stay good was because Cytorrak was limiting his power because he wasn't being an engine of destruction.Yeah, Juggernaut's been jerked around for quite awhile now. If I had my druthers, Cyttorak would have been completely put out of the picture back when Juggernaut destroyed/usurped/absorbed him to escape being imprisoned in the ruby. Then he could have become master of his own destiny and developed as a character without being neutered by some cosmic shmuck disapprovingly looking over his shoulder.Quote:Right. "Huggernaught" was weaker because he was all goody-goody.
Basically, the played to Cy's vanity. Yeah, Cain was causing mayhem BUT it was in someone else's name (The Serpent.)

Also, until he grows his hair back I will henceforth refer to Colossus with such monikers as Piotr Radd and Steroid Surfer. Perhaps even the Herald of Cyttorak. -
Honestly, though, Sinister plots are far more ubiquitous than Nemesis plots. Indeed, one could even say that Nemesis plots are, in fact, Sinister plots.
