Did I see a character shooting fire blasts with a wand?

Quote:That wouldn't be surprising even if IE were equally as secure as the other browsers. It would be like saying most fuel-related accidents with automobiles involve gasoline. That doesn't indicate that hydrogen is safer, so much as it indicates more automobiles use gasoline.I still regularly act as a technician and, guess what, most of the viral removals I have to deal with relate to IE.
For my part, the one time I've had a serious issue that spawned through IE, research indicated it could have happened with Firefox (the browser I most often see recommended as an alternative). And it was really my own fault for visiting a site I knew was a risk. I stick with IE simply because I've had bad experiences with other browsers (Netscape (way back), Opera, Firefox, and one or two others I've forgotten) I've tried and I generally don't have problems with IE - not enough to continually hassle myself with trying other browsers.
Mind you, I generally only use my web browser for web browsing (in which I include occasional flash games/videos). I suspect people like Arcanaville require much more from their web browser. I also suspect that such people lose sight of what most human beings on Earth are happy with in a web browser: click link + page loads = happy human. IE has produced that happiness for me with more consistency than any other browser I've tried. -
Like the idea, not so much the execution.

Character creation varies for me.
Sometimes I decide I want to use a certain power combination, so I start there and design a costume to go with the powers which often leads to a loose bio. Sometimes I fail to come up with a costume I like for the power combo and the character doesn't actually get made.
Sometimes a background story springs unbidden to my mind, and I pick powers that fit the character therein and try to create the image in my mind's eye with the costume creator. Sometimes I can't get a power combination/AT I'm happy with, and sometimes the costume creator can't adequately reproduce the character I imagine.
Sometimes all I have is a name I really like, and I build a character around that. Before we had the ability to check for name availability BEFORE making the character, I wasted a lot of time designing characters around a name just to find it wasn't available.
And then there are those times when I'm just messing around with the costume creator and I get a look I really like, which prompts me to choose powers and a name for it. Occasionally, the name becomes a roadblock which stops the character from entering the game. -
Indeed. While Myka was rather hurt and disppointed by H.G. (and sometimes, H.G. seemed rather disappointed in herself, but unable to stop), I never got the feeling that they were truly enemies.

None since I had to format/reinstall. I'm not sure how many I had before the disaster, but most of them were recreations of popular characters.

Looks to me like it may be a composite image and that Manticore was originally pictured with the big guy (Citadel?) but got cropped or overlaid.

Why, when there are any number of topics to choose to create a thread about, would one choose THIS inane topic? I guess humans are just funny like that.

Quote:Which ultimately makes it a story about sparkling "emo" vampires. Ergo, case not overstated.the story is about the exception dealing with the difficulties of maintaining their humanity in the face of the larger and more bestial norm.
Which is why the Harry Potter series shares in the nearly universal nerd revilement. No, wait, it doesn't. I guess 'letting normals in' isn't the problem. The problem may just be the characters and how they're presented. Arguments about "real" vampires are just an attempt to nail down precisely what it is about the characters and their presentation that's so horribly wrong.Quote:if i may be blunt, it seems that nerds hate twilight because its letting normals into our world and"gasp" making their own rules. the G.R.O.S.S. clubhouse will not abide such heterodoxy, we cannot retain our uniqueness if we let others use our stuff in a different way. -
Quote:If the story didn't revolve around the "exception" you'd have a point.you know, i hate to defend twilight, but based on what i have seen in the movies, the cullens are the exception. the group under the redhead are psychotic killers and the leadership callously murder a entire group of tourists like a bunch of ambulatory happy meals, so perhaps we are overstating our case a bit.

So this is going to be the fourth "The Thing" movie?

It's quite a stretch to get anything filthy out of "Interface Slot." Maybe if Freud attacked your brain and caused the "I" and "o" to switch up. But that sounds nearly German.
Unless your problem stems from the word "slot" itself, in which case there's all sorts of fodder in game aside from the "Interface Slot." In that case, the mere act of enhancing a character with extra slots might cause you to blush.
And if your problem is the word "Interface" you're just hopeless. -
Agent Jinks isn't as fun a lie detector as Dr. Lightman.

It absolutely matters. It's the difference between saying "I can lift a metric ton" and "I can lift a metric ton using a series of pullies" - one implies personal power, the other not so much.

Unless I'm mistaken, they don't actually benefit any more than teammates. And if you want to argue ease of use, I'll point out that I find it far easier to get on teams than to craft Incarnate stuff. Which is to say I can foresee getting on a team just about any time I play, whereas I don't foresee ever being able to craft Incarnate stuff. And I'll probably have more Temp Pets before ever getting an Incarnate ability, too.
