Never. A strict min/maxer is going to observe limits, gather information and determine optimum conditions within those limits.

These people are whiny idiots, those who will turn the difficulty up to 6/+1 and imagine it's the game's fault that they have a hard time. They will never look to themselves and complain about bias and imbalance. Everything is someone else's fault, and all the credit is mine.

I routinely street-sweep hazard zones like Perez, Hollows, Boomtown and Dark Astoria before SOs. The game is pretty damn easy when you know what you're doing - and 'chewing insps regularly' and 'kill faster' are part of that.

Probably the same reason Brute Cloak of Fear was mag 3 for four years.

Set aside the behaviour of the author, set aside the philosophy of the tale, set aside the political tumour it has created, look only at the text and read the character and the story. It is - as wonderfully summarised by another, smarter mind than mine - a work of super-irrigation; it encourages that which requires no encouragement, and its characters, those about whom we are meant to care, those in whose lives we are meant to be invested, are defined by smug superiority, selfishness, and being assuaged on all sides by a mediocre world of the humdrum that fail to fall upon their faces in exultant joy and being in the presence of the protaganist.

But we are at this point in the territory of a linguistic cul-de-sac; I was merely making what I felt an educated guess on the opinions of our lily-white savior who has deigned to grace us with the pure and wondrous thoughts from his higher immortal mind. I'm open to being wrong, after all.

For my sake, it seemed to be an instance of someone using a story setpiece that they shouldn't be setting into a binary, us-vs-them right-vs-wrong position, and doing just that. I suppose it's overly melodramatic of me to say, but I dunno, I felt more like whitewash than an admission. Not to say that many other films haven't done the same thing just as wrong, of course.

Strangely, if it'd been a comedy I'd probably have liked it more.

(While we're on the topic, I found Transformers to be racist; every person in the film was a thinly-painted veneer of who-gives-a-**** but you could be a crazy white person, a smart white person, a gormless white person, a military hadass white person, or you could be a black person or a latino person. Having a skin colour occupied your personality slot.)

All scrapper powers that attack at range are made using the scrapper's melee modifier, because their ranged modifier sucks *** because they didn't want people using scrappers at range, and any time they wanted to give scrappers a ranged attack, they wanted it to be a good one that scrappers would be willing to use. It's a testament to the left hand not knowing what the left hand is doing.

I'm curious as to why you guys weren't all making this much fuss about the poor blaster when the Scrapper was doing his job. Could it be that this 'muddying' has been going on since Day 1 and isn't any kind of a big deal?

Go to a different zone, don't read the channel being spammed, go do your own thing. Nobody's holding you down and forcing you.
