Lol as always I agree with Talen, but although I don't have StJ the main complaint is that it's an end hungry set when not paired with WP and etc.
There is some good advice in this thread (it's about scrappers but SR is almost the same except you might want taunt and evasion comes early). The builds posted there are sucky but the advice seems solid: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=278617
I am also currently @ level 42 on my SJ/SR brute. He is doing pretty good and about to get a lot better.
I focused mostly on recharge. He will be at the softcap for melee slightly behind on ranges and AoE but you can tweak that if you wish.
Solved the end issues with Energry Mastery.
I had most of the IO's already from a SS/SR brute I stripped to make this guy ( had to many SS toons ) so I didnt spend that much. I took advantage of the LotG. Obliteration and Numina sales on the market recently to fill in some IO's I needed.

On my brute I slotted with 2 acc and 2 end red, on all my stj powers. I let fury take care of the damage aspect. I have very little problems with end.

That makes Brutes smoother than Scrappers for leveling imo since Scrappers really need dmg enhancement asap. But an endgame build on a Stj/Sr Brute will be basically the same as the scrapper.
Anyone have any idea how this would work? Im currently working on a level 42 ST/SR Brute. It seems like it would do well if i slotted it right, but thats just the problem. I dont know how to yet. It's fun tho messing with it. I just want to get the slots right and all before i decide to spend 2 bill on IO'S lol.
