Yeah, rad's still great. You might be a bit sad-faced that you can't damage cap brutes or anything, but who gives a ****?

In my (limited) experience it's a choice between Agility (for elec primary and endurance-hungry guys who jam on the Power Sink or Dark Consumption button a lot), Spiritual (builds that can get Hasten close to perma but not stick it), or Musculature (EVERYONE ELSE).
-
Sonic can do the bidness as well, because defenders get tank values out of Tough and Weave.

Incidentally, my liquid inf is very low because I just vaporise it whenever I'm bored. It's like coffee filters: you go to the store to pick up a new set when you run out, but who seriously bothers collecting them?
I'm just saying because I threw billions into the 88s pool and have given away ludicrous amounts of wealth for random whims because the knowledge of how to make money is more enduring and more valuable than any amount of actual money.
Plus, I like stuff. -
Oh god, I care so much more about how much respect you have for me. Please, if you have any other insights into things I can do to improve my standing in your eyes, I'd really appreciate it if you worked hard to produce as much of that information as possible. I don't know how I'll get through the day without it.

Quote:That's because it's not a shift to human form. It's detoggling a power.
The shift TO human form is already instant -

The cold-snap idea sounds borrowed. It also sounds like a good idea.
(Also, I don't really think that Ice Control sucks. It's just odd. The workhorse control packing boss-possible control is pretty tricky to balance by comparison to other workhorses.) -
Because there are archetypes whose selling point is having consistant spawn-to-spawn AOE lt-level control and giving that to blasters would be eating the dominator's sandwich?
Not that the blaster's sandwich isn't well-eaten by the scrapper, but whatever. -
I've used it enough on brutes and tanks to be enamoured of it. It does a lot for a dominator and holds some pretty saucy sets, too.
-
I don't know if you've ever done this before, but did you know that eight of any control archetype turns everything into mush?
-
Quote:No it hasn't. There's been a tiny tweak to the power brutes don't take.
Energy for Brutes has gone through some changes since then and I am finding myself wanting to repec the ol' boy and give it a try again. What the heck, hey?
If you don't like Em post-change you're not going to like EM now. -

Mezzes need to be conspicuous so players realise when someone other than them is saving their butt. I heartily advocate this change.
-
During Castle's administration as power person, there was a certain amount of currency he accumulated determining what he could get away with changing. Change has to be slow and steady, and not revolutionary; there are people now who are still butthurt about Instant Healing's change, and people here who are still butthurt about Energy Transfer's change. The nature of change in a game like this is different from WoW's; we strive to keep things steady and stable as long as possible, instead of getting players used to the idea of a steady churn of changing and rebalancing. Cloak of Fear was a mag 3 on brutes for four years, which is flat-out nuts.
In practical terms, what I'm saying is, just because something should be changed does not mean the devs have the means to change it right now. The creation of Titan Weapons implies to me that they're happy with where SS is right now, but I wouldn't follow that implication off a cliff. -
Quote:Which explains why the initial gravity revamp information was useful for controllers and of minimal use to dominators.I could be wrong, but I think the devs might have been alluding to the gravity revamp as well as the dark/darkityness.
Should we get excited about them fixing the redraw animation bug on Aim in Thorns? Is fixing bugs special? -
The devs have shown in the past to be reluctant to repeat mistakes. Illusion is probably past their internal line of 'too much' but they can't easily fix it. Proliferating it would make the fixing twice as complicated.
-
The issue is not that there's anything I want, it's that we were told we were going to get something special. We did not. We will not. We cannot. Simply put, the earlier sentiment by Avatea was a pacifying statement meant to make the minority of Dom players shut up for a while and avoid them detracting too much from the important thing in the announcement MOAR STUFF FOR SCRAPPERS.

The woopdie doo stance remains, yes. But hey, there are like, fourteen of us on this forum.

This needs fixing.
Having 35 and 38 both being instrumental must-have powers that define your single-target exploits chokes out late-game power choices.
I'm not on the beta forums, but I'd advocate:
Dark Blast
Smite
Gloom
Nightfall
Gather Shadows
Midnight Grasp
Life Drain
Moonbeam
Death Shroud
I'm not wild about Nightfall, but by concentrating the powers at the last two slots chokes out your chances for taking all five patron powers, which is why they bothered to give us patrons at 35. 35 and 38 should be optional and nice, they shouldn't be effectively essential to smooth operation.
