  1. Umm.
Salvage + Workshops and Enhancement Terminals = Loot + Crafting?

    Well not = but ~/=.

Of course, you do realize that the reason heroes are not allowed to enter the newly constructed university is because they were hitting on the coeds.

  2. Thank you for being there for us Cuppa. I hope Tabula Rasa's community gives you all of the love and respect you deserve.

My hopes and prayers for your success and happiness.

    We will miss you terribly.
  3. Don't blame the Winter Lord (all hail his glorious name)!

Look, I have a level 43 rad/rad defender i've played since May of 2004. That's right, May of 2004. And I didn't WL him up either. And I STILL don't know how to play
  4. Competition is good. Once Marvel and DC release their own mmo's, the competition will be fierce, unless one or more of the contenders is severely botched.
  5. I do find that stamina has been a great boon to my rad/rad defender, especially with the endurance cost reducing ancillary pool power and accelerate metabolism.

With it I can put my healing aura on auto-fire and still use my attacks without worrying about running low on endurance during a battle unless I'm fighting end-draining foes.

I have health and stamina both 3 slotted with SO's (usually +3), and accolades that boost my max end.
  6. Players eventually move on? What!?

    My personal Opinion:

Although I think it would be nifty neat to be able to get the Isolator Badge for my characters who missed it, I can play without it. Heck, I'd like to be able to get some of the "Special Event Badges" like the Halloween Badge I missed because I couldn't get off work. But I can live without it. I'd like to run my own private CoH sever or play CoH locally solo when I don't have an internet connection (which is frequent). But I Can't.

The Dev's are aware that there are a LARGE percentage of persons who would like to be able to obtain ALL of the available badges. Let's end the discussion on this thread and just keep bumping it until we get an official Yay / Nay.

    Badge Questions

Not Happy? Try Pie. Or Chocolate.
  8. Fix the Blaster in the fewest possible moves? Ok, here goes:

Increase Base damage of all blaster attacks by 10%.
Have Blaster Attack base ranges increase as level increase.

    That's it, two steps.
  9. Ok. Can we officially declare this thread so i can get back to playing the game. I'd really rather have the dev's work on the Invisi Foes bug before even thinking about this.

    {For those of you who have not experienced it, the invisi foes problem is when the first couple of mobs generated in a mission are invisible and un-targettable by one or more mission participants.}
  10. Of course you can there's always the variouss transport bugs with the new zones. there have even been people ending up back in Outbreak as high as level 50! And my hero ended up on the CoV side briefly! So don't give up hope!

    Badge Questions

In my experience, Giant Monsters are difficult to defeat as compared to the reward gained, with a single team of levels appropriate to the spawn zone, unless you are just attempting to hit the debt cap. And the risk / reward means that giant monsters aren't really worth fighting currently. That's IP almost always has multiple Lusca's hanging around scaring the bejeebus out of the dock workers.

On a side issue, I have NEVER seen the Hydra spawn in Perez Park on Triumph. Is there something I'm missing here?

    And the Giant DE, woah nelly, those guys are tough. Even before I gimped my Rad/Rad {hint, never drink and respec} {hint 2, you don't really need 3 travel power pools, no matter how cool Teleport / Super Jump / Super Speed sounds} {hint 3, Diminishing returns for ED need to diminish less steeply}

Buffing them to make them more difficult would also make them not fun. I don't think they need to be debuffed (in most cases), but the rewards need to be more significant.

Maybe split the difference between current Giant Monsters and Winter Lord?
  12. Ok, so it's not a Valentine's Day Avatar yet. I am just glad I finally got an Avatar.
  13. I'd feel alot better if in all the posts prior to the actual issue 7 announcement they had stated that they were giving new power sets for villains only rather than just new power sets.
  14. Could it be possible that each of the servers, representing parralel but seperate 'realities' has a slightly different history. Different enough to have confused our writers?
  15. I was going to reply, but apparently on my way to win a date with statesman I was captured and eaten by Zombies.

    I hate zombies.
  16. I haven't noticed an endurance discount either, and I believe that Conserve Power (Blaster Secondary) is actually INCREASING my endurance costs. (I can run whirlwind much longer without CP than with it.)
  17. good luck and my prayers go out to your brother. I hope he returns home safely and quickly!

Yeah, Incarnate refers to a deity. Statesman is "Zeus Incarnate" Zeus in the Flesh. Zeus inhabits the body of Statesman.

Likely hades inhabits the body of Lord Recluse

    [/ QUOTE ]

A couple of problems with this theory. First, Zeus was really no less evil than Hades. He was lecherous, vengeful, petty, selfish and had very little self-control. Heck, he literally threw his son Hephasteus [sic] off of Olympus for some minor transgression, resulting in the god of the forge being maimed for life.

Likewise, Hades wasn't really evil. He would occasionally allow souls to be released from his realm, or at least give them the chance. Moreover, he not only rules over Tartarus (the greek version of hell) but also the Elysian Fields (the paradise of the afterlife). He and Zues were brothers who each had a dominion over a third of the realms under their control: Zues - The Sky, Posieden: The Oceans, and Hades: The Underworld.

I, of course, haven't received the second issue yet. So if Statesman is connected with Zues, it's likely only that he received his power, not that he is an 'incarnation'. I don't recall any connection between Hades and Spiders, and he seems to have only one obvious follower with 'Death' like powers (Ghost Widow), so I'm not at all convinced Lord Recluse is connected with Hades. Time will tell though. Should be an interesting ride.

Hepheastus wasn't Zeus Son. Hera bore him without help from Zeus in revenge for Zeus bearing Athena without Hera's help. Sometimes this is said to be why Hepheastus was born Lame. In some stories it is Hera who tosses him off of Olympus because of his Handicap. Other stories Zeus tossed him off because he intervenes in a fight between Zeus and Hera.

(Hephaestus also created the first woman, Pandora. Pandora was given to, Epimetheus (Prometheus Brother), as his wife. Her dowry was a jar filled with evils (she was told never to open it, but she did), thereby afflicting men with all of the evils therein.)

    Prometheus - Foresight
    Epimetheus - Hindsight
  19. OK. I've read a few more posts, and have a better understandi8ng of whats going on.

Go for it States, sounds ok to me. If it doesn't work on test, you'll have time to tweak it.

Only one change. Give my characters (and my characters only) 1000 * the normal xp for each defeat. lol. I've been playing since May of 2004 and my highes level char is 25. (I only have limited playtime between work and family)
  20. Why not just set it up so that if there is a greater than X level difference and greater than Y distance between team mates that level X foes auto spawn next to the low level members?

That's actually quite comic - booky, like when a super hero's arch nemesis sends thugs out to pick on the side kick. Remove the level difference and distance penalty to teaming, and just let the "villains revenge" take care of adding risk to PLing. Yes, there would still be less risk if the PLer is standing next to security drones, but there would still be risk.

It would also make catching the mono rail a lot more interesting.
  21. I haven't read ALL the posts, but I did read the original and some of the reply's regarding electricity blasters.

My first character was an elec \ elec. I started having major getting my but handed to me over and over problems around level 12 and stopped playing him for a long time as he had hit the debt cap and it didnt look like I'd ever level him up.

When I stopped playing him, I started an energy \ energy blaster (My current primary).

During this time, I started seriously looking at slotting options for powers. Then Winter Lord happened, and I used it to get my Elec \ Elec out of debt (In Perez Park and Atlas Park, spending a lot of time exemplared to lower level characters and fighting in HUGE groups).

I respeced and reslotted my end drain heavy powers for end drain. I am still not a "power leveler". But I can solo reliably so far (lvl 16), and can be an asset as a team member. I can prevent Enemies with ranged attacks / status attacks from bringing their worst powers into playm at least at my current lev el. We'll see how it goes from here.
