Quote:I don't see you being crude. But then my people skills are pretty horrible too.Now that I look back at my earlier post I should apologize for coming off more crude than intended, my wonderful people skills are shining through again -_-.
I appreciate your getting the correct information out and TA's re-checking and verification. -
Quote:Good to know. It can't be killed.I had to go back in and see this for myself. At 1am PST last night they were able to be targeted and killed. Just checking now and it looks like that isn't the case now. Well thats something
But 800pp....still too high.
Not as of 7am this morning no, it doesn't die. They made a change throughout the overnight it looks like.
Still. No. Not at 800pp. Just no. -
Quote:So your suggestion is to spend an unrefundable 800pp to see if it is targetable/killable first? Why don't folks y'know actually try the Leprechaun out before assuming it can be killed? I bought it because I like supporting PS and *gasp* It can't be targeted and cannot be killed.
Interesting.
However some have posted it is targetable and killable and you seem to be saying it is not.
I'm not willing to risk 800pp on which forum poster is correct on that. -
We can only hope we get Beast Mastery or Staff Fighting next week. But my hopes have been getting crushed in and out of game lately so I am not putting a lot of faith into it.
-
I have nothing new to add that most everyone hasn't already said but I want to make sure my "youcannotbeseriousthereisNOwayIambuyingTHATatTHAT price" vote isn't lost.
If they wanted 800pp from me this week they might have put Staff Fighting, Beast Mastery or even Enhancement Converters up for me to buy.
walks away muttering about crazy people being in charge of the Paragon Market and stuffing a leprechaun into the gas tank of his car -
I am about to say a similar thing cuz it's almost time to leave work and then I can go home and play the game.
The forums are less than impressive but I don't care enough about it to care. This is not to say it isn't important to most normal people/players but I am not one of them. -
So that's what happened. I thought it was greyed out for some reason in DA.

Quote:Tyrant was once a hero, wasn't he? Then he decided he was more of a god to be in charge.Maelstrom may have been heroic at one point, but that's all strictly in the background material. By the point we see him in game he's just an arrogant jerk. His first act to work his way into the Praetorian hierarchy was to murder his partner.
Lord Recluse has the same claim to having once been as hero as Maelstrom does. He served in the US armed forces during World War One. -
+1 except for the very tiny handful of recipes I craft and sell which I might put in at a minimum of a couple million since I don't want someone to get a sniper bid on them.

Who is Statesman?
What? -
Have you verified you have the most recent drivers installed for your card? I used to have this problem exactly as you describe it with a different nvidia card and eventually an update to the driver came out and fixed it.

Quote:Also, a break free taken ahead of time can prevent every status effect except KB and slow.Because status effects are *supposed* to represent problems for some ATs. If IOs existed for protection from sleep or hold or stun, why bother having status effects at all? At that point, the only thing they'd do would be to enforce even bigger performance gaps between IO'd characters and SO'd ones - in fact, I'd say that the performance boost from being able to slot for significant mez protection would probably be *equal* to that available from *everything else* you can do with IOs. I don't think it'd be a good idea. IOs are already powerful enough.
In my opinion, -KB IOs exist because knockback has got to be by far the most common 'mez' type in the game. And you can get away with having them, I think, because you don't have any *other* mez protection IOs. -
Impervius Skin and Aegis have Status Protection enhancements in their sets but they reduce duration and do not confer immunity to being affected in the first place.

They just mentioned both the laser sword game and ours on Big Bang Theory.

Quote:I can only speak to my experience but I saw it was for sale on the market and assumed it was identical to the one already in the game with the benefit of it scaling to my level offset by it being nontransferable. It was this thread which made me aware that it is better than the original in game version.I think I've completely missed something here. From the sound of some of your posts, it's been known for a while that the enhancements sold on the market would be superior versions of those we get in game?
My comments about what they should do to fix this are merely from the point of view of what response I would expect for good customer service. If they feel they must adjust the proc for game balance then they should be expected to offer refunds to the people who bought it from the market whether those people assumed as I did it would be less effective or whether they knew it was better and thought they were getting a good deal.
What I expect they will actually do is downscale the one on the market without any more than an "oops" to the people who did buy it. This bothers me because I think that is terrible customer service because people can and do buy paragon points to buy things on the market so there is a real money for items aspect to this.
Meanwhile they remain up on the market with a growing knowledge that it is better than the regular one and the problem is getting worse. They need to be pulled from the market immediately. -
Quote:I think they are better off to pull it off the market and sell a corrected version. If they change something people have already paid for they are opening a horrible can of worms.I actually bought one (not realizing it was superior) because it was in my build anyway, and it really surprised me how awesome it was. Sad to see it get nerfed... rather see the regular version get buffed.
Remember the description on the IO actually says it will fire approximately 3 times per minute. Now if it is broken and firing more than documented, then they can fix it without any valid arguments but if they actually change it to not fire 3 times per minute then they open themselves up to a lot of trouble.
This is the problem with selling us particular goods rather than just the subscription service as it was before the market. -
They better pull this one off the market because I don't think it is going to go well to change what people have already bought. At least it cannot transfer off an account.

Quote:I grabbed 5 each of the proc and the End Mod on Tuesday when they hit the market. I may grab more of the End Mod because the scaling as we level is actually pretty nice for my sub 50s.Just checked the paragon market version of the performance shifter proc - it's set to three procs per minute, or a 50% chance per tick (I ran three 5 minute tests and got 11, 17, and 16 procs after 5 minutes or 30 proc checks (37%, 57%, and 53% respectively).
I don't know about you, but I'm gonna pick up a few dozen of these things while they're 50% off.
I alreay had quite a few of the procs for my characters over the years. -

Quote:If you buy, you get the recipe at the level of the slider. If you choose random roll, you get the higher of your character's level or the recipe's max level.I have a ton of them now with the hero packs and TFs and such. What is the best thing to buy with them as far as money wise or usefulness. It used to be LotG or oblit, but the market is screwy, so I don't know any more. Also, if I set the level at the merit vendor and use the merits for recipes, will they still be max level or what I set the bar at? Thanks in advance.
I'd actually recommend holding your Reward Merits for now. Eventually you can use them to buy Enhancement Converters and once they hit the game things will get even goofier in the market.
However if you are looking to simply convert them to quick cash I'd suggest buying the level 20 Miracle Recovery, the level 25 LotG global recharge, and the level 30 Numina's Regen/Recovery. Those never seem to go out of style. Don't sell them as recipes. Craft them and sell the enhancements. However a lot of people may be doing this now (which is why I recommend holding onto them for now) and the salvages are more expensive than usual.
And don't throw a lot of them onto the market at the same time. When people see a high bid number and a low for sale number they tend to pay more than when they see a closer balance between the two numbers. During 2xp weekend (16-19) people will be paying to get their IOs so that is a better time to sell than right now. would be. -
Quote:Under all past circumstances I would agree and I accept it is my extreme desire for converters may be coloring my view on this matter HOWEVERNowhere did I see anything saying a date for a new patch.
Unless there's a major bug, you shouldn't expect a patch a mere 2 days affter an Issue Launch. Give it a week or two. They'll most likely be rolling it in with other bug fixes.
An item was announced as part of the issue, Enhancement Converters, and not having them in the game is a pretty big gaffe.
Not as big or as critical as if they had released them and they didn't work properly but it is still big. I cannot recall the last time an actual announced part of a release was a no-show when the issue released.
It makes them look very foolish so I am surprised they didn't bust a move to get them in. -
Quote:You may not realize it but you have just articulated something that has been gnawing at me for years that I could never put my finger on. Why do I really get into some of my characters while others, no matter how attractive their powersets and how awesome they play, leave me completely disinterested in logging into them?Do you prefer to make characters who are just one of a broader category, or do you need your characters to be somehow inherently unique and specific and even perhaps famous for something?
The ones I love are THE ONE(s). The others were just characters I made to play the powersets but the ONE(s) are the ones I enjoy playing. I have a warshade I love and I have made a couple others but I just don't care about playing them. I had rationalized it that it was because The One was a 50 and the others were weaker but now I see it was more about the characters themselves, how I think of them in my mind. The One is a "real" character but the others were just weak attempts to recapture my love of The One.
You just signed the death sentence for several of my characters.
