Give me ideas! How do you play the game? What makes it fun for you? Do you always do radio/newspaper? Do you play it in Windowed Mode while talking to friends? Is Ventrillo involved, or do you full screen it and block out the rest of the world?

What rituals do you follow that are absolutely vital to your having a fun time in the City? Let me know. Thanks!

Oh, and for reference, here are my rituals:
    • Windowed Mode.
    • Hulu/Netflix playing the latest episode of the latest show.
    • A messenger device set up (Skype, Facebook, Twitter...)
    • Radios/Newspapers only.
    • Pick Up Groups. Never preplanned play sessions.
Windowed mode is a must for me.
Running iTunes if I won't be watching the TV (or Netflix Watch Instantly on the Wii)
    Checking for global friends on.
Spreadsheet tracking my characters opened and looked for inspiration of who to play.

Any idea on how some of the older areas of New Orleans fared in Katrina? I remember the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die" had some parts from there and I think "Dracula 2000" as well.

I wonder if there is going to be a Killer Croc in Bat 3...

As with those genres, you will get a steady influx of good and bad. The only difference for the superhero genre so far is that it has been centered and focused around a few characters. If we get more projects like Watchmen and Kick-*** (which, I know, both "failed" but if studios ratchet down their expectations), then we will get more diversity and we will see it last longer and stronger.
I think they are different because of the generally low opinion some people have about comic books and super heroes apart from the most famous guys.

But it seems everything coming out nowadays is either based on a comic or graphic novel and often the source material is never honoured and the film is just a cheap imitation.
I still don't understand how a Ghost Rider sequel got okayed.

I think it has 2 more good years in it, then due to the time to make films another 5 years of bad movies before it ends.

Also a film should need a REASON to make a sequel because there is more to tell to the story not just 'because'.
Or I wish they would be so much more pro-active on superhero movies that they have several stories to do and film them all at once. The one movie every 3 years or more model really stinks.

I had hoped the Lord of the Rings movies had shown the right way to do it but I guess they have not yet agreed with that.

Well then you may want to check out the episodes with the Eye of the Beholder, Gary Gygax and the Bender's Game movie.

Eye of the Beholder episode: How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back
Gary Gygax episode: one of 3 mini-eps,The Un-Freeze of a Lifetime , in Anthology of Interest I

Probably others but those jumped straight to mind.

Pity, it had some good content.
    Your reasoning seems historically incorrect.

Forum posters were saying they were leaving red side because of the markets being segregated once Going Rogue would allow them to play "villain" ATs blue side for the market. Once the merger was announced those people said they would stay red side because the market was not an issue to getting IOs for their villains.

  14. Even if you don't buy GR, you still need all the stuff for it and I18.

Am I misremembering that?

But to the topic at hand: yep, I have most maps' spawn locations memorized.
CoT Jails willalmost always have stuff. I've not seen a Council one do that in a long time.

CoT Behemoth Portal rooms don't have stuff usually but you still need to open the door and enter and wait for the mission complete to trigger on a defeat all.

Nope. You can get but you cannot send.

But I have a few 50s I have no interest in playing any more so they are my market alts anyway.
  23. You're going to need a thicker skin on the internet that that.

Then you'd end up in limbo, or possibly stuck when the game rendered terrain around where you already are.

As far as I'm aware 92.5 mph is the absolute speed cap.
Not too mention the human limitation of reacting to obstacles. Sure your body is moving fast enough but can your brain process the information to tell your body to avoid hitting that oncoming object in time?

Granted it can be said the super hero character can, but I am talking about person manning the keyboard.
