Candy canes have a special place in my heart since it was one of the ways I got "rich" at first when the markets came out by just selling them from my present hunting for the Toy Collector badge.
I remember being so rich with my low level peacebringer (20M) by time I got Toy Collector.
Funny how things change. -
Quote:Perhaps they should simply Glee-up Buffy or would it be Buffy-up Glee? Have the character in Glee become the slayer and there can be a song number around a vampire slaying each week.Well I'm coming at this from the point of view of never having seen a single episode of Glee (the whole idea of the show makes queasy) but having seen pretty much every episode of Buffy/Angel and the original Buffy movie. From that mindset I look at Heather Morris:
And can accept that she at least "looks" like a Buffy when you compare her to Kristy Swanson and Sarah Michelle Gellar. I really have little faith in this Buffy reboot (without Whedon's involvement) to begin with, but I figure they could have considered someone worse than Heather. *shrugs* -
Quote:FYI he changed yesterday. You may want to see how it goes when you ignore his clones now with your following characters:Trappy, like everyone else, has a 5% chance to hit through the softcap. Your defender just has horrible luck. Really, its that simple.
Nukes are only disallowed in the CoP, not tin mage or apex. Heck, outside of changing the proximity mines, nothing has really been changed to the tin mage or apex, and i think the fastest apex times i've seen is a little over 30 minutes. 30 minutes for 40 merits/2 shards, and the dev's havent changed it yet.
If inspirations aren't helping you, then your doing it wrong. On every single one of my level 50s i've ran this arc, while some have died to trappy, everyone has successfully Solo'ed or duo'ed him. This is on a:
Fire/fire/fire blaster (RoTP is pretty nice, burnt his face off)
Fire/kin corr (power boosted transfusion kept me alive, even when he hit me, and the fortunata mistress pet TK blasted him into the lava for me, then burnt his face off)
Tri-form warshade (went dwarf, pounded his face in)
Earth/rad Controller (spammed the -regen debuff, floored his defense, and had stoney pound his face in)
SS/invuln brute (ignored the clones, pounded his face in, you'll be amazed how KB prevents him from summoning more clones)
Kat/regen scrapper (ignored the clones, pounded his face in)
Bot/traps MM (ignored the clones, as it was my first time through, actually didn't even realize he had clones, and just debuffed him into nothing and pounded his face in)
Emp/psi Defender (duo'ed it, with a fire/MM blaster. Power boosted fortitude on the blaster and me on clone duty pretty much made trapdoor melt)
So really, stop making things up randomly, and just accept that this was changed because the dev's didnt like people completely taking out the mechanic of the fight. Its not hard, so stop screaming like it is. Heck i've had harder times on the Honoree mission, and even that i mostly just rushed.

Quote:He's easy if you can kill him fast with lots of pets or keep his clones from helping him.Took him on today since the patch set to x0/+0 knocked him in to the lava and it didn't even dent him like before tried to keep his bifurcations down but he summoned them faster than I could knock them down.
Then I tried on my Necro/Dark MM and he went down before I could target his first clone??
So not sure what to think!
He's a pain in the behind if you have to chase down his clones and kill them and then hurry back to hit him and then run off to kill his new clone then run back to beating on him... -
Quote:Big deal. He was easy for my warshade and my Mastermind. My stalker and scrapper it was annoying. I didn't let him summon the clones he just gets to over and over and you have to go kill each of them or he will out-regen any damage you can do.Did it tonight on first my Widow then my Warshade.
On the Widow he summoned a clone right as I went in, I found it, killed it, then went back to him, when he was at about half health he summoned another clone, I killed it then killed him.
I used Oranges and Reds.
Letting him summon lots of clones is just silly.
Was on +2/x3. She's mostly lvl 30 common IOs, a few specials like Steadfast +Def and Miracle +Rec. No sets though. She has Elude, also she has Tough.
Stop making assumptions and opinions on something you have barely bothered to test on multiple characters and builds.
You want to say he is easy for warshades and widows? Fine. I agree. But that does not mean he is easy for everyone else. It is either easy or crap depending on the character not the player. -
Quote:His clones pop up all over the room and you have to go get them. Meanwhile he regens from the other clones present. If you can't kill the clones VERY quickly then there is something wrong with your build (for the purposes of soloing, it might be a great team build) or your approach. They are weak. Extremely weak. This arc can only be done by 50s. If you can't defeat the clones quickly then how do you do tips or radios? The clones are no more powerful than any normal mob anywhere.
Your assumptions are wearying. -
Quote:No, it's not. It's your opinion.Killing the clones is still totally an option. Pulling or knocking him into the lava also helps.
This is seriously one of the EASIEST EB fights in the game to solo.
People complaining about are DOING IT WRONG.
That is not petulance, it's a fact.
He is easy with some builds, annoying with others. High single target damage types cannot kill him without killing his spawns which spawn all over the place without end now. It takes a long time to do this mission in those situations.
It's boring and it sucks. -
I've done Trapdoor with my Warshade (piece of cake), my Mastermind (piece of cake), my energy/energy stalker (worst time ever) and my claws/regen stalker (second worst time ever).
The difference between easy and sucking is whether you can quickly kill his bifurbs. My stalker could not do it very quickly nor could my scrapper as they ran around chasing down and killing his bifurbs while he regened.
In a nutshell it was so mind numbingly boring and annoying I never want to do it again and dread, actually dread, the few others I may choose to unlock the alpha slot for except for my pet summoners and AoE types.
This seems like a bad mission design to have something that you either fly through without a second thought or get done doing and just want to logout and go play something else to "clear the palate" so to speak.
Annoying for some is not meaningful in any way. -
I also am running Win7 (home version) and it is great though when I do encounter persistent issues I discover my video drivers are out of date.

Quote:It better be Going Rogue!/jokingly_sarcastic_complaint I can't solo the Master of Statesman's Task Force on my Controller
...Yeah, I like that this game has challenges, in particular that it has challenges that aren't strictly insurmountable to those who put some thought into how to get around them, especially if they're not picky about which character they pull it off with.
My Grav/Storm and my MA/Willpower heroes have dropped Giant Monsters, solo. How awesome is that? Doesn't mean it was easy, or quick, but it's doable!
Come to think of it, now that I've got Mu Mastery, I'll have to take another swing at soloing NightStar as an AV on the Grav/Storm, once he swings back to hero side.
I'm usually solo, but I don't mind teaming. If anything, I make sure that when I am about to team, I'm not about to draw fiancée aggro...but don't tell her she's getting a copy of the game for Christmas -
Quote:I did far worse than that. I all but stated that I'd consider being one of the abusers.I'm SHOCKED that you would suggest that regular players would consider abusing the system . . . <choke> <cough> <hack>
*wipes off monitor and keyboard*
Sorry I couldn't even type that with a straight face. -
Quote:Even if not RMT there are enough of us who do get the 11 merits per new character who could create a horrible mess by churning them out if we could trade them. You don't think there have been people selling their accounts after they decided to leave the game? Some of them could easily be accounts of long standing.
Heck if they were active long enough I could see an RMT site deciding to hang onto the account just so they could get those merits in 6 months to a year later. -
I am kind of tired of seeing the word 'flipping' especially as it is typically used as a magical boogieman so I have decided when people complain about flippers and flipping that they, the complainers, are "flapping".
I present this term as a public use term and no payments will be required for its usage in this context. -
Using comic books I would prefer TFs have the JLA or Avengers vibe and not be part of the individual story of Batman or Iron Man.

I think I18 removed it from our trays because mine disappeared too.
The reason I suspect I18 is side switching probably brought about an issue with the portals since heroes and villains go to different Ouroboros.
I know there is a bug with the black market teleporter in the base after a respec. -
I am always impressed with his work. I hope IM3 replaces him with a good director.

Quote:I want to rent billboards.heehee! =P
Aside from all that boring IRL stuff, I want inf sinks because right now there's an entire class of player for whom inf has no real meaning because its so easy to make and there are, relatively speaking, so few things for us to spend it on.
That's one of the main motivators for the Crazy 88's...blowing tens of billions on meaningless prestige has given a bunch of us a reason to care about making inf again.
It'd be nice if the *game* gave us more ways to destroy inf instead of having to make up our own. -
