Quote:So much that it might be more cost-efficient to just make a new engine and start from scratch.
Not even close. The amount of time it would take to completely recode a new engine alone would be a while at the rate Paragon Studios builds in. While fixing code is no simple task, it's far less time consuming and costly than trying to push through creating an entirely new, essentially, IP. -
Quote:Yeah tried that but no KM. It's a nice estimate tool but not quite accurate.

I'm just struggling for the right build myself. Never chose the caltrops because of how it messes with AI and I hate chasing my targets. That being said, before I enter a group I'll throw Blinding Powder and coupled with Duplicity it can work out nicely as a good temp distraction. It's a bit of a pain though, wont deny that.
The difficulty I'm having is allocating the slots properly with the powers. I plan to run four sets of Lucks: Ninja Def, Senses, Restu, and Weave/Acrobatics (Retsu, Weave/Acro will be five slotted while weave and acro only slotted to four since Karma takes a spot).
Unfortunately mids wont work on my computer so I have no real "road map", gotta go off the top of my head. Any particular guides to follow for a Kin/Nin set? -
I just put Kismet Accuracy and Kismet Defense to follow up with a silly recovery bonus.

Morning, afternoon, and evening everyone.
Well, hope everybody is doing alright. Lot of **** going on on the East end of the specific and my condolences go out to those caught in the travesty. -
Build a bridge and get over it?
Never bothered me, I consider it more like an indicator for having the same done for them. Of course drive-bys are a bit foreign to me, never encountered such an event. But groups, this happens all the time. Hell I try to buff support/CC first the best I can to give them an edge over combat. -

((Well should she come back, Seraph could easily find means to harass a few would-be catastrophic mages! She owed him a date after all
))
Alex, in his double-form Enerjack, stood quietly with many others as the funeral was held surrounding the spot that would become her tomb. Hands clasped and rested behind his back while he kept his chin lowered, hovering just above his collar. There the hero exposed his deepest regrets in private, she was a hero and a friend - she was one of them; those who gathered around. A hero in his book but also just another person doing what they thought was right as well. Guided by her own form of moral code, that which Alex grew to respect even when being just a simple onlooker to her open clashes out in the streets with would-be dangerous villains.
When the time came to take leave, Alex approached for his turn to say his goodbyes. A backwards fitted baseball cap was on his head, eyes covered by his signature black shades with yellow lenses, beneath those lenses rested two emerald hue orbs that stared into the abyss that was Seri's grave. There one could easily identify the woman but beneath that clear casket, Alex saw the woman in her full bloom state; the smile and polite nature that he came to affiliate her by. Placing his right hand onto the face of the casket, his hand hovered nearly a foot from her face; stopped by the thick glass that encased her. His head lowered, he went to say his goodbyes of admiration and hope that in the next form, next life, or whatever she believed; that she would be happy - and truly free at peace.
When he removed his hand, Alex leaned back and straitened. Thunder crackled in the distance and as he looked up to gaze at the sky, a droplet landed onto the shade of his right lens. A little smirk of hope rose on that boy's face, 'Ironic, that during a time of morning - this moment gives me strength.' In the distance sporadic fingers of plasma tickled the base of super cells over head, 'That better be you telling me to get my *** to work!' The boy added in thought, that smirk of his grew until his mouth gaped and a soft audible chuckle could be heard.
The young man looked back to the grave, back at the lying woman's face. As he sifted through his jacket, he pulled out what looked like a poster. A makeshift poster at that, on it's surface spread out were two separate articles. One one half Seri and on the other the famous Enerjack, cut outs from the tabloids and the best two individuals pictures he could find. There he cut and pasted the two pictures together with some hopeless romantic saying: "Together will have to wait, world needs saving still; be patient dollface."
"It's just a joke." he said softly, setting the poster down. "Dreams of a child have to move on someday." Sifting through his jacket again, patting himself with his free hand as he looked around for something to find and also put down. There was a moment of worry, that there was nothing fitting for the beautiful queen. Until he reached up and removed his goggles, setting them too down. "Here, they helped me see through reality in a different perspective; maybe you help you as well." Showing one more parting goodbye, Alex stepped back and then turned about to walk away. As he cleared the distance from himself and the crowd, having his turn, the hero known as Enerjack stepped out into the clear.
Pausing in a pose, Enerjack looked over at a pair of people. A news caster and her teammate cameraman looked over. "What, you'd thought I'd sparkle? Psh!" And just like that in a nearly blaring flash of light, a bolt struck down to the ground from above and using him as the conduit; his body vanished. -
Well Devs did say we'll have the ability to hold up to 10slots total of incarnates which I assume is why the amount of choices in the middle Incarnates (Gamma? :P) is so many to choose from. That being said it'll probably allow you to switch still just like how I bet Omega will do the same when it comes out one day.

What bugs me is I'm going to have to tough it out if I want my main to get the final Tier Spiritual Alpha, 32 shards plus 2 Notices of The Well to make the ultra rare final recipe piece. >_<
Hopefully they add some kind of benefit for players who run weekly strike targets where if you have had your alpha slots unlocked, you can get shard drops. Does this happen right now? If not, this week is gunna blow since Psyche and Mantis are bellow the 45 mark (let alone shards still only drop off 50+'s right?). -
My apologies for necro'ing a near month old topic but I felt posting a second topic of similar discussion would be just as bad.
My main concern is the endurance cost. Must it be so high, I can understand being in combat would/should take big chunks out like it does but right now as it is it can be a pain to manage at low levels as soon as you get your travel power.
My idea would also be to completely revamp Teleport Foe and instead make it a Combatic variant where you teleport to the target and strike with a cheep shot. This still requires a target.
A secondary affect of the travel power itself could revolve around using your map (requiring fog off war to be cleared) as well as entering specific hubs of zones you've already visited. Kind of like a self sufficient transit system.
Other than that, the limitations of this game make it a wee bit difficult to design it kind of like Champions. Which TP was something they got exceptionally well right off the bat (abused all to hell in PVP but it shouldn't even have PVP to begin with). -
Quote:I'm actually thinking rolling the 45% and 33% health Tier 4 as opposed to gaining Stun boost and To Hit, To Hit sounds nice but I'm bummed that all it'll work for on my stalker is Build Up rather than providing an over all chance to hit throughout.This.
The tier 4 spiritual feels like it was made just for regen. I plan on getting that for mine since what regen wouldn't be better without MOAR regen and MOAR recharge.
Blast you Rikti Drones, you deflect me some more but I will get you!
Quote:To be technical, it doesn't function as an addition to all the other buffs. Alpha slot boosts function exactly like putting an additional enhancement in any power that accepts enhancements of the same type as what the Alpha grants. Think of an Alpha Boost as being an HO that slots itself into every power that can be enhanced for whatever the boost grants. For example, if a power can't be slotted with an endurance reduction enhancement then Cardiac's endurance reduction has no effect on that power.
Since the Alpha Boosts work just like regular enhancements for each power they buff ED affects how the Alpha Boost enhances a power exactly as if the Alpha Boost was just another enhancement slotted into the power with the exception that whatever fraction of the boost that is set to ignore ED will work past the ED cap. In many cases that translates to about ~6% additional enhancement if that power's slotting already put it at the ED cap. -
So wait, I had just gotten my first Notice of the Well and made Spiritual Total Radial Revamp where it states it applies level shift. That means when people click on my main they'll see the (+1) right?
-
Vigilantes can get invited for LRSF right?
-
I prefer more serious atmospheres than complete randomness to be honest. I like being able to approach a stranger and both express mutual maturity to the other while RPing each character's persona pretty well.

Where's the notifications anyways for "TF of the Week"? They said they'd announce them on the patcher and main page but I don't see it.
I'd be down for Fridays if room is available on Seraph whose the closest I got to completing through the Alpha tiers. BS/WP Stalker.
EDIT: NM, just woke up. Fridays will be good for me as long as I don't end up working, with which this manager I can never be sure. Tonight I'll be available or should be as long as there's a way to get a hold of whoever is leading this stuff. -
Quote:You can't really regulate the AT's performance in these two TFs. These two TFs were devised specifically to push team-work to a new high as opposed to existing TFs. Of course it's going to be harder, the pre-requirement alone (if you don't have it) sets you back as an empty seat.I haven't used my stalker in either Apex or Tin Mage. I guess I should try and see how effective Assassin Strike is. I know it won't be too effective against those pylon/hydras and possibly not too effective against all those elite bosses.
AS works well still but the mobs are 53s. Which treats Lieutenants like Rikti Headhunters during mothership raids. -
There's problems like that with plenty of powers. I mean honestly TP shouldn't cost energy either what with power suppression in existence. So I'd kind of agree, especially by end game you can set yourself up to where it's rare you ever go bellow 20% of your E-gage.
-
For SR I'd actually argue going Cardiac. I haven't studied the Alphas enough to know if the sub sets later will really benefit. I believe Masc right now gives bonus to defense debuffs as a sub set (I forget the others) so if damage is all you're going for, it could be arguably passable.
But like all things, there is no right or wrong - only preference.
EDIT: Oh Endurance Mod for tier 2 Radial, which is unavailable atm. Still dunno, guess it kind of depends what you feel like rolling with. -
Quote:Agreed. If you're grouping all the time I can see how skipping Placate until later will help but if you're fighting a boss followed by a lieutenant - solo, it's nice to distract one or get rid of the lowby so that you may take the boss comfortably. It's a great escape tool as well should that remaining mob catch you under guarded.More of a preference thing. I'd suggest taking placate once it's available simply because it's a great power out of the box that requires no slots, is auto hit, costs no endurance and can get you out of tight squeezes. Then you have more time to spread out slots.
For me, Placate is what the stalker is all about. Drive-by-AS so I take it whenever it becomes available because I already know what I'll be doing.
Quote:Another trick for placate in the early levels: you die a bit too close to an enemy and use an awake?
The other thing about Travel Powers though, with Ninja Run they're not that crucial to have. Sure NR isn't as fast as SS or provide altitude jumps like SJ but it scales by level and better than sprints. -
He'll probably find out he's some descendant of The Phoenix.
-
Well in regards to DPS, of course. You taking time away from attacking to phase out just to lead into another. AS is probably the best to follow up as it's crit will add sufficient damage to cover up the time lapse and keep you parsing good. :P
-
Speaking of Stamina, what is the preferred choice IOs to go in if 4 or 6 slotting? On my BS/WP I six slotted with Performance but that was because I was naive and picked the max 50 IOs.
-
Placate is essential for quick kills on bosses when solo'ing. Generally on any primary I get it when it first becomes available. I run Kin/Nin and have to say no matter what secondary you pick, being choosy can have good and bad effects. I think more so it has to do with the slotting than actually getting the right powers. You can have all the right powers but if they're not hitting (which is an issue I have though a lot less since putting Kismet: Accuracy in Hide) or dealing sufficient damage, what's the point?
