How to Slot Hide?

Is there any advantage to slotting Hide with Recharge Redux, or is the standard to just put a single Def buff in Hide and call it a day? In other words, does slotting Hide with a Recharge Redux increase the rate at which you become rehidden, assuming the toggle has stayed on during the fight, or would recharge redux only help if you were to turn off the toggle altogether?

Recharge only affects the speed at which the power recharges. It won't make you hide any faster.

I tend to add one slot to Hide, one is for an LotG +recharge and the other is for a LotG Defense enhancement.

On two of my ninjitsu stalkes I have it slotted with 2 DEF Buffs IOs and either the Karma KB Protection IO or LOTG 7.5% recharge IO.

I like putting my Kismet +Acc, Gambler Recharge, and sometimes a Karma -KB in hide. Not always all of them on the same character though.

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

Great advice, and thanks for the explanation. So as a follow-up question, does the Def bonus apply so long as the toggle is on, or only when hidden? Probably a dumb question, but hey, those are my favorite kind.

Both, actually. About half the value is "suppressed" when you are no longer hidden, but the other half if always active. I'm unsure on the exact numbers right now.

The only dumb questions are ones you don't ask.

It's a mix of both. It has a small defense bonus all the time, and the lion's share goes away when you attack, are damaged, or click a glowie.

You get a base of 1.875% defense to everything all the time. Conditionally, you get an additional 3.75% defense to everything except AoE, to which you get 37.5% defense.

Those are the unenhanced values.

I just put Kismet Accuracy and Kismet Defense to follow up with a silly recovery bonus.
