Well that's what I mean, has anybody put any effort into taking a hero already Blue side or created an SG dedicated to being solely Praetoria based? IMO, I want most of my Praet characters or Primals to stick solely to their own dimension and not bounce back and forth like it's Free Wings on Friday. :P

Studio 55 is a great and easily more acceptable club space in my opinion but no one goes. My character Kelvin C. Kestrel is supposed to be Praetoria-specific so what goes on on Primal is pretty much regarded as OOC or will be retconned when further Praet-content is released.

Just curious if anybody gave it some thought.
  2. In the video I believe it was stated that it wasn't legit and rather user editing. While it maybe on the drawing bored, so far the dev team is staying quiet.

Could be anything but really I'm leaning to false information. Love the users work, she's a total nerd babe, but at the same time I think it was taken down to avoid miss information so people don't accuse the devs of starting a project ( that, until proven otherwise, they aren't working on ) of stopping when it could be so good.
  3. hmm, SJ also fits the concept I had recently made into a KM/FA Scrapper. He's a resistance member who participates in the Underground's fight clubs ( that's right, I broke the rule; cry about it) whose main fighting style is generally Jujitsu and of course he's a metahuman so his powers are pyrokenisis - often times sucking the oxygen ( life ) out of his opponent to make them light headed and clumsy; allowing him to sweep in for the victory. SJ may do quite well to portray that with all the foe debuffs that maybe possible.

The idea is there but at least it's not like the Assassin from Guild Wars where it was: L/O/D/E where if you missed on the first, the rest followed.

This seems more on kin with the pseudo-combos you can pull off on KM already via SB, RT, QS, FB. The idea is quite intriguing, I'm just worried how flimsy the animations will look but this explains why they didn't want to reinvent old powers in proliferation and giving them new animations - but at the same time I wonder why not just do it anyways since you're already working on animations.

I really want to see a video of it, kind of like what they did for KM, DP, etcetera. This'll definitely take priority first over my KM/IceArmor toon I wanted to try out.

AoE and a cone, sweet. Unfortunately no hadouken and instead went with the Shoryuken, which has pictures lurking around. I can imagine the attacks wont be superior because it sounds like they're using the Power Siphon concept from KM and tying it into this combo system, essentially making Finishers the SPECIAL-type.

Still, I'm already contemplating farming merits for Kestrel here and then probably remaking him into SJ/Elec because the idea of Pseudo-Kickboxing is more along the lines of how I'd envision him fighting his enemies.

Pretty much. Common sense, I don't understand why some people are so impatient. Had a run in of this years back when CoV first came out, was fighting all purples and couldn't hit things so then they kicked me out. When I asked why they said to make room for a guildy.

Either they're children or they have that mentality.

Frankly, people in PUGs leave quite often enough in even an hours' sitting. So the only "polite" way to go about it is just wait for that room to open up.
  7. Guess it doesn't hurt to ask, hell it's still relevant.

Any strictly-Praetoria SGs out there Resistance side?
  8. That looks like Ascension armor....

Seems like they fell in love with the look of Ascension armor and tried to duplicate it. The wings is an interesting touch however but in terms of armor, I dunno. And I'm usually the guy that likes to run around with the Valkyrie armor's Shoulders at least once per toon =/

But I guess it all balances out after catching a glimpse of the IDF and PD armor costumes.
  9. Any Praetorian-strictly SGs (preferably Resistance alligned) out there?

I have this character but with how sparse Praetorian content is at the moment and likely wont get a boost until FREEDOM, haven't seen an SG pop up that caught my eye. Any recommendations if there are any? Otherwise if people are interested, I'd love to shoot some ideas around to any who would listen
  10. Ahhh alright, damn was gunna stay up all day and do some tips while I was at it but nope.

Please note, this downtime will only affect our City of Heroes websites. Our Forums and Going Rogue websites will be still be up!
That's what was throwing me off though. With the site saying servers were up and the downtime would "only affect City of Heroes websites" I figured it was referring to the page and not the game.
  11. So having just installed the patch, I try to log in and it pauses only to give me the pop up asking to check my firewall settings or the site. The site says servers are up but I wouldn't be surprised if the actual log-in server hasn't caught up.

Anybody else having this problem or are the servers still, technically, down?

Nah, it's not you. It does feel like it's damage is poor and that's the reason why I don't even bother specing it with damage. With PowerSiphon going though it's CC capability is pretty flippin' sweet.

I got a nin to 50 but I don't like it. The only things worth a squat is the click heal and the ability to deal -toHit while hidden. Smoke Flash blows since the effect takes too long and you can still die mid animation - it's not useful as a panic power like it should be intended for escape, at least not as a stalker considering you can drop from 50% to 0% in no time.

Otherwise SR beats it in every regard. Providing AoE defense, lots of auto-powers, and it's easier to soft cap using only SOs. I have yet to find an effective way to softcap Nin without using IOs. Part of the death toll for my nin though is the Stalker syndrome that needs fixing, SR has it's draw backs as well since mobs with high ToHit probability will still needle through your DEF and chew you up (IE: The ITF).
  14. Why not just make it so the first time you complete a trial of the day you get to choose a VR, the second time you beat said trial you get Rares, and the third on you get commons.

Trying to apply a sense of worth for effort doesn't work. Because everyone perceives effort differently. So why not just follow the system that has been put in place from Hero/Vill merits to Emp merits (because once a week can be just as bad).

Exactly, to me that's synonymous with one's level of maturity. Of course I've never referred to it as "Adult" but the general meaning behind it was the same.

Sex, violence, little bit of comedy, and dark elements; a story that takes itself seriously (no fourth wall breaking bs if one can help it) while giving the impression that it's an evolving and growing society.
  16. Is it bad that KM has turned into my GO-TO SET for melee characters? xD
I just made a KM/Fire Scrap, haven't leveled him up any though.

I was just curious. Wouldn't 5 stacks of LoTG: Recharge pretty much do it? Still new to mids here >_<
  17. None of the above:
MRP - for violence, action, immersion. Taking story into serious context.

Not too much of a fan for randomness and fourth-wall breaking on the majority of my characters. Basically I compare my RP skills to those of Rated-R films, you have: violence, sex, gore, dark themes - etcetera.
  18. Is Reactive still incapable of stacking? Kind of a bummer, I went with it for my stalker and love it but at the same time, never checked to make sure - when I found out that it didn't stack, I ALMOST wanted to spec out to a different Alpha.

Since Alphas only affect the powers that you use, I found ToHit pretty pointless for one of my alts considering I couldn't get BU perma. It's not like Kismet Accuracy which just applies a ToHit buff over all. But then again you're regen, I'd figure more healing is just laughable at that point but I'm rather new to reg.

Gaussion's only adds a proc, the proc has a chance so it is not always constant. Much like Kinect's KB proc under an AS for Stalkers, when it procs upon activating and landing AS - the target will be KBed. The BU proc will occur when the chance is in your favor, delivering Build Up ontop of PS.

Interesting, but I unslotted mine in my last respect to give it more recharge and RectReticles for the +def.

Recharge really? The power recharges quickly without using any. Unless if you're aiming for perma PS?

Looking forward to posting a request for builds then on that day. I'll make a Sub Zero

I really don't see the -neg damage take that much affect. Though I run with /nin on my current main. When I get hit, it still stings.

Honestly I agree. They should have the states of a scrapper. Especially since now the content for both is universal, originally it was because CoV's content was designed balanced for a stalker with CoV's launch - now it's no longer an issue.

I realize that you have your positionals softcapped as is, but I feel like you could be getting better bonuses with different sets. This is something I kept running into with my BS/SD scrapper when I posted the build here.
Agreed. Parry is one of the saving graces for my BS/WP Stalker who I almost deemed a failure. Get it to recharge as fast as possible and hits wont be rolling in as fast as mobs would like. Without the Tier 9, could easily tank just cycling Parry > Disembowl > Parrt > HS.

I'm not worried about bonuses, I know I'll get some but they won't be anything I rely on. In this situation, do I need to worry about the level of the IO and losing power when exemplaring?
The tip system makes it a lot easier. Originally all you could do was farm and farm, spend 200-400mil on LoTG:GR easily. Now days, they're still expensive but four days and you got yourself an easy set to fill in. In a month you'd likely hit Ultimate Rech, ACC, health easy for DEF.
