You too? My bf was supposed to get his 7 year badge in September and I was supposed to get my 7 year badge in October and both of us are still waiting for that to appear. It's almost December and nothing has been addressed regarding this issue. Either nobody knows or cares if this is going to be resolved.

Honestly, I don't care about the points and tokens, I just want my badge.

  5. Oh ya.... the sign up post is over here!!!
  6. It IS that time of year again!!! Back by popular demand, and for the Fifth(?!?!?!) year in a row, it's the Annual Protector Holiday Card Exchange.

For those not familiar with this event, here's how it works: Those who opt in to participate send holiday cards to everyone else who signed up. So, you send out a bunch of cards and receive a bunch of cards from familiar faces from the forums and ingame on our cozy little (okay, probably not so little) server. In previous years, between 20-25 people have signed up for this, from the US, Canada and beyond, and I'd wager there will be at least that many again this year participating. Previous years people have sent all sorts of nifty things including stickers, ornaments, handmade cards, and more (looks pointedly at Golden Ace). Also keep in mind that you are not required to send anything more than a card. People that choose to send goodies do so because they want to.

Signups are officially now open!!!! Start saving those stamps and finding cards! Signups are open until November 27th, 2011, and the list will be shared shortly after that. The sign up linky is here.

In order to participate, you must fill out the form located here!!!

The Customer Service team has access to your individual records and will be able to review them for accuracy and concisely explain when you should receive all of your VIP benefits on a monthly basis.

Forgive me if I haven't seen this posted anywhere and missed it, but what about Veteran badges, specifically the yearly (7 year vet, 6 year vet, etc) badges. When are they being awarded? I know several people (myself included) who were supposed to have been awarded them in September and/or October and weren't, but nothing has been said about these and how the transition has moved dates around and such. When are these being awarded?

    Also, signed.
I had to go back and check - this is the 5th year.
  9. Another place to find inexpensive cards is your local Dollar Store. Or you can make cards if you're feeling creative. The possibilities are endless.

Pfft! A card exchange is more fun! If someone sends things in their cards, its because they want to, not because it's necessary. The only thing required in the card exchange is to send cards. Anything else is optional, and /not/ required.

Trust me, it really is something fun to do, if any of the enthusiastic responses are any indication.

Sure! It's a good, old fashioned holiday card exchange. Everyone who is interested submits their info (I've been using a form to gather info and it works well). Once we get past the cutoff date (usually around US Thanksgiving), I send the list to everyone who is in, and we send everyone who's signed up holiday cards and receive cards (and sometimes other surprises).

I've been spearheading this for *gulps* 5 or is it 6 years now (I want to say this is the 6th year) ? I honestly don't remember, but it's been a few years now and every year there's on average at least 20 participants. It's a lot of fun, and an excellent way to spread holiday cheer to your fellow Protectorites.

I'm getting the feeling that this will be a go again this year, so I'll probably be putting up the info post in the near future.
  12. Is there any interest in doing Ye Annual Holiday Card Exchange this year? If so, I'll work on getting it together. Discuss.

And trying to factor in budgeting, especially if airfare is involved, etc. As fun as this sounds, a month is not enough time to budget, plan travel and vacation time accordingly.
  14. I hate to add to the bandwagon and use this as an example, but grouping the ATs together by playstyle is a Very Bad Idea.

If I'm looking for a specific AT, I'm going to look for it there. The thing with the ATs is while they have their intended purposes, they are versatile and are capable of many different things.

Example here: if I go to look at the "support" option and see dominators, I'm going to assume they don't do a lot of damage until I start playing one and see that it's doing a better job of being a blaster than my blaster, aka blastroller. I'm not sure how consolidating this is going to be more helpful instead of a potential hinderance. Several ATs run into this problem, several times over.

If you're looking for a way to consolidate the front page bloat, maybe collapsing the sub-forum by default so that just "AT forum, etc" appears would be a better idea. That way you don't see all of the subforum until you click on it, all of the information is still there, yet the amount of frontend clutter is reduced.

Without quoting Bubbawheat's post a few posts above mine, I'm going to agree with how he proposed laying out things.

I just realized that there isn't a where for the CC posted that I can find. Is it going to be Pocket D, or somewhere else entirely different?

I has a costume (okay, 2, I was feeling creative), but don't know where to take it to show off later. Helps!

  20. I already mentioned it elsewhere, but I'm mentioning it again, Happy Birthday!
  21. I was hoping to see if there was any word on the Victorian Steampunk clipping issue 20.5 introduced as mentioned in this thread.
  22. I'm now getting the same clipping issues as the OP. These clipping issues did /not/ exist before the patch today. No amount of scaling will fix this.

A very belated thanks! I've been busy lately, so my forum time has plummeted, which I think is cyclical, I go for stretches of living on the forums, then I disappear for just as long.

Caem - you're prolly a wise man not to tamper with the mighty DN artz (but your drawing /was/ recognizable. So there. =P

    Thank you!

I don't believe so, but I could be wrong on this.
